“Why did you bring me he-”
“I got her” he interrupted her and she raised a brow at him with an impressed look displaying on her face.
“Really? Wow, where is she?”
“Inside”
“Here? I have told you countless times to leave this garbage of a place and move to somewhere that doesn’t look like the place of a crazy homeless human.” she hissed as she followed him into the building and in a passageway that had a very wild stench.
“What is that smell? It is gross and makes me want to throw up”
He stopped abruptly and faces her with a glare.
“Do not act like this isn’t the life you were once involved in and the life you once lived. This used to be your home so don’t be throwing tantrums just because you happen to stumble upon one,” he told her.
“I am glad you said, ‘used to’ because that is the right word to describe this…” she gestured around where they stood “This dirt you now live in”
“Dont push me to let her go” he warned and she rolled her eyes and went ahead of him.
“Where did you keep her?” she asked looking at some doors she saw as they walked through the passageway.
“In here” he opened a door and she came in to see that the light bulb was dim that was why it couldn’t illuminate the room.
The walls were dirty and some had a splash of substance she didn’t have an intention of knowing before her eyes then land on her main purpose for following him here.
“Here is your package,” he said sarcastically but she ignored him.
She came closer to her and looked at the position she was being seated in and how she was tied to the chair with her head hanging sideways and her eyes covered with a piece of black clothing.
A small amount of dried blood could be seen on the side of her mouth and she looked lifeless due to how she is positioned.
She poked her cheeks and moved her head but it went back to how it was so she stood straight and faced him.
“Are you sure she is still alive? I told you not to kill her yet, I need her alive… For now” she asked him and he took a glance at the unconscious woman then shrugged.
“She will be up soon, don’t stress too much about it” he blew at the knife he was sharpening and put it on the table in front of him.
“Just being curious, how did you get past security? Because I remembered vividly telling you to do it where it isn’t in the area of his office so as not to attract attention but your old ass did the opposite,” she yelled a bit.
“Well I am Dickson Sawyer and at least I got your package secured,” he told her and smiled sarcastically.
“Whatever just inform me when she is awake.” she looked at the woman one last time before marching towards the door and leaving the room.

After he had sobered up from the encounter he had with his wife and all the harsh words he used on her to the extent of making her cry, he stood up from the floor to wash the tears off his face and suddenly felt nauseous.
Then he looked at his reflection in the mirror and it was kind of blurry, his eyes felt like they would roll to the back of his head but he shook his head to shake off the feeling.
He felt his stomach churn wondered if it was the doughnut he took earlier today that must be causing this feeling but it couldn’t be, seeing that he ate that when he came into work and his stomach was empty now so that couldn’t possibly be the issue now.
He looked at his reflection again and it was clear after many blinking of his eyes and trying to put behind the feeling but it didn’t help one bit as what he could see in the mirror was not the confident man that he is.
Rather the man that stared back at him looked sick, had beads of sweat on his forehead and bloodshot eyes from the crying along with a lacing sadness.
He felt his body tremble and his legs felt like jellies so he had to use the counter to keep himself standing and when he felt like he was falling he rested on the wall and closed his eyes.
He wanted to take his phone to call someone his mind went to but his hands felt like large rocks were glued to it.
After spending almost an hour in the bathroom and not making any form of noise, his business associate came by the door and knocked to check if he was okay but he couldn’t bring himself to answer him as his hands felt like rocks and he was feeling light-headed.
He finally managed to turn to the door and stretched his hand to reach the door but couldn’t reach it and instead his legs buckled and he fell on the floor.
He could feel that something was going on or was about to happen but couldn’t place a hand as to what that could be. This was a familiar feeling and he doesn’t want to think he is experiencing what he seems to be experiencing now.
This was something he had felt for a long time and it doesn’t happen frequently or at all only one particular time and that was it but after so many years, it is happening again.
Something was up and he want to confirm with his family that they are okay but he couldn’t do so since he might be experiencing some kind of motion problems and his heart began to race rapidly.
“Dimitri? Are you okay?” he heard Mr. Gain’s voice from the other side of the door and just nod his head but knew he wouldn’t be able to see him since he was locked in the bathroom.
Everywhere seemed hazy and his eyes would close and open at intervals as he tried to calm himself down and make his heart beat properly but nothing was working because the feeling seems to come over and over again and it becomes worse than the previous ones.
“Dimitri, tell me you are okay in there son or I will have to call in security if you don’t answer me at the count of five,” he said shaking the knob of the door to get it to open but nothing.
Then he started to hit the door to force himself inside.
‘I am fine’ was what he wanted to say but his throat felt parched and he could feel his throat constrict making the inflow of air get thinner by the seconds.
A panic attack!
He was having one but he is telling himself he is just stressed and not that attack that is doing this to him.
He closed his eyes to stop the dizziness but when he opened his eyes they seem worse and he began to reach out for the door and after some seconds of trying to reach the door, the door burst open with Mr. Gain who had a worried look on his face and two security officers.
They pulled him up and put his arms over their shoulders and half drag him, half carry him to the couch close to the bathroom.
“Dimitri, what happened to you?” he asked and instructed one of them to bring him a bottle of water from the small refrigerator in his office and he quickly rushed to bring it.
Dimitri shook his head and waved his hand weakly.
“I think you are having a panic attack, lets get you out of this jacket to let some air in”
“No… no at… n… attacks… no” he shook his head but Mr. Gain ignored him and helped him out of the jacket with the help of the other security officer.
Dimitri wanted to get the jacket back but the officer took it with little or no effort since he was at his weakest at the moment.
“Bring the water, thank you” he collected it from the other officer and opened the cap then put the tip on his mouth so he could drink.
He wanted to resist but Gain put him in place and urged him to drink.
“That should clear up your throat and help a bit too,” he said and Dimitri drank a meaningful amount of water before handing it back to Gain and he noticed he was breathing okay and the sick feeling wasn’t there like that then he looked at the officers and dismissed them so they go back to their respective place.
He checked his jacket and managed to stand up with the help of Gain then walked slowly to his table to get his phone.
He was feeling better a bit but that feeling that something was happening didn’t leave so he called the first number of the person that came to his mind.
It rang for a while without it being picked and he sighed hoping she picks up.
‘How would she pick up?’ his mind asked him and all he could do was hope she would pick up. He was being a total jerk to her when she was showing him how much she cared and instead he turned in to her and made her cry.
When she didn’t pick up he was about to cut it off and dial again when he heard shuffling and realized she had picked it up already.
“Where are you?” he asked and sat on one of the chairs facing his but there was no answer “Hello, where are yo-” he was interrupted by the disconnecting of the line and frowned at that.
She wouldn’t just pick, stay quiet, and disconnect it so he decided to call again and this time it said the automated ‘This line cannot be reached at the moment please try again later’
His heartbeat began to race again and that is when he knew something was up and he told Mr. Gain to let them postpone before dashing out of his office with shaky legs that he managed to control and not let it fail him.
