So, guys, I formed the lyrics of their wedding song, I didn’t actually have a rhythm for it but just try to imagine how it sounds like. But if you think you have come up with how it sounds like, let me know in the comment section and I will check it out. Love, Gold.
***
{…Piano playing…}
? She walked up to me
She said to me
How can I love you like no one has
She said you
You love me today…?
The music started playing and the doors of the church opened, everyone stood up facing the hallway.
Dimitri could feel his heartbeat calming the hell down. He felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned to see his best friend smirking, he scowled when he mouthed. “Whipped”
He turned back around and saw little girls in little white gowns holding a small basket and sprinkling white petals. Then came two little boys, each holding a pillow that the ring was placed on.
When they reached the front of the altar, they went to sit with his parents, then he looked up to see his bride hand in hand with her father, he couldn’t see her face clearly due to the veil covering her face. He could see her father’s eyes water and he wiped them at intervals.
? Her smile, love, and peace
Flows right through me
Bringing me more than enough…?
This was overwhelming for him, he was thinking this day would never come, he had it in mind he would frustrate her till she was so mad at him, flip him off and cancel the wedding and he wouldn’t have to do this at all.
How do people that get married feel on their wedding day? Nervous? Anxious? Light-headed? What exactly do they feel? Because if this is what they feel, they definitely shouldn’t get married.
Your wedding shouldn’t make you nervous, right? It should be perfect and mind-blowing, it should be something you wanted right? What does it mean to feel nervous on your day? He asked himself.
‘This is a bad idea’. He knows but can’t get out of it now, can he?
Although he couldn’t see her face he knew she looked beautiful, her choice of dress was doing things to him. He had seen women in more provocative clothing but whatever she wears gives him chills. The good kind of chills.
Why he was feeling giddy still remains a mystery to him, he wasn’t supposed to be excited about this in any way. His experience with his former lover taught him women are out there just to trap a man and tear them to pieces.
Thinking about his ex just gave him mixed feelings.
Anger.
Hurt.
Betrayal.
Sadness.
His mood changes instantly and his calm feature embraces a frown and he wonders who picked this song for this event.
? You are my forever
And forever means only you
I want this day to never end
Because I love you… ?
Her heart was beating erratically as her dad walked her down the aisle, she could feel the nervousness surging through her entire body making her a nervous wreck. Her hand that is holding the bouquet was slightly trembling at this feeling she can’t define.
He looked great. He was wearing a maroon burgundy suit matched with a black slim tie, white shirt in and paired it with a black sleek shoe. The boutonnière on the lapel of his jacket was the same as her bouquet. His hair was gelled neatly and he looked more handsome.
She bowed her head and tried not to smile. Why was she smiling? She wasn’t sure why, but she did feel giddy. She raised her head back up to see annoyance lacing his feature.
What was wrong with him? Did he not like her outfit? Sofia was going to kill him if he made a nasty comment about her appearance. Was it what she was wearing? Or what? Why is she bothered? She bought the dress because she wants to look sexy for herself right?
She kept looking into his eyes until she and her dad reached where he was.
“Take care of my baby,” Kingsley said, still holding Audriana.
“Yes, I would,” Dimitri answered, looking into the eyes of the beautiful woman wearing a wedding dress. Her wedding dress.
Placing her hand in his he shook Dimitri’s free hand and hugged his daughter with a kiss on her forehead. He walked to where his wife was sitting and sat beside her.
Everyone sat down and the priest started the sermon.
“Today we have come here to witness the joining of these lovely couples, Dimitri Miguel Lorenzo and Audriana Loveth Bernard…”
She wasn’t listening to what the priest was saying, her focus was on the man that will be her husband soon. She looked at him intently and didn’t bother taking her gaze off when he looked back into her eyes.
Was she actually doing this? She does have an option right? She could stop this and run away, right? She could turn away and not care if the company goes bankrupt at least she has her job, they could survive.
But can she really do it? Can she pretend like she doesn’t care about leaving over a hundred employees jobless in their company? Some of them have other things they do but the majority depends on the company. Can she really do that?
“I guess this is for the best,” she muttered.
What was she doing to him? It could be the fact that the sight of women excites him, but she didn’t even do much, she is a beauty. Natural one. Even his ex was also a natural beauty, that was why he fell for her.
No matter how much he tries to erase her from his memory he can’t, he just can’t. She played a huge role in his life. It’s probably the person that brings the best in you that can actually bring the worst in you and make you miserable for the rest of your life.
“Now it is time for your vows,” the priest said, bringing them from whatever haze they were in and one of the ring bearers came forward with the pillow in hand. “Dimitri hold Audriana’s left hand, pick up the ring and say after me”
Dimitri took a look at the ring bearer who gave him a toothy grin showing his displaced front tooth. Then he remembered something and held his hand up to the priest who gave him a questioning look.
Ignoring the look, he dug his hand into his pocket, brought out a glistening engagement ring, and inserted it in her ring finger.
“Sorry” he muttered and held the ring signaling the priest to continue.
The priest resists the urge to roll his eyes and proceed to call out the vow he would say as the husband.
“I, your name,” the priest said.
“I, your name,” Dimitri said and everyone in the auditorium laughed. Realizing what he just said he chuckled in embarrassment and cleared his throat saying “I, Dimitri Miguel Lorenzo”
“Take you, your brides name”
“Take you Audriana Loveth Bernard” he repeated after him.
“To be my lawfully wedded wife”
“To be my lawfully wedded wife,” he said rubbing circles in the middle of her palm.
“To have and hold you from this day forward”
“To have and hold you from this day forward”
“To love, cherish and adore”
“To love, cherish and adore”
“For better for worse”
“For better for worse”
“For richer for poorer”
“For richer for poorer”
“In sickness and in health”
“In sickness and in health”
“Until death do us apart”
“Until death do us apart,” he said the last part, then slid the ring in her finger and brought it close to his mouth and placed a kiss there with a wink.
She pursed her lips and glared at him. Resisting the urge to rub the back of her palm on her dress.
“Now Ms. Audriana pick up the ring and take your groom’s hand in yours then repeat after me”
“I, your name,” he said facing her and read out her vows to repeat.
“I Audriana Loveth Bernard” she repeats every word the priest said while still looking into his eyes.
“Now you have declared your consent before the church,” the priest closed his bible.
“Now is there anyone in this congregation that wants to say anything against their union? Speak now or forever hold your peace”
The couple turned to the congregation and saw smiling faces and when no one spoke the priest continued.
“In that case I pr-”
“I have an objection to this union” a feminine voice spoke, cutting whatever the priest was going to say.
All heads turned to the owner of the voice to see it was a young lady standing by the door of the church. She was wearing a green fitting dress that reached below her knees, matching heels, a purse in hand, and a green fascinator at the side of her hair.
She walked slowly down the aisle and stood some meters away from the couple.
“I am the one you marry Dimitri. Me” she put her hand in her purse and brought out something.
Widening his eyes he looked around and saw that everyone was looking at him. Some had the look of confusion, some a questioning one. Clearing his throat he looked at Audriana who had a light frown on her face and to the priest who shook his head.
He felt a tap on his back and his best friend’s voice.
“Chill, everything will be fine” and he felt himself relax.
He is just overthinking things. Things better work out well.
“By the power bestowed on me I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss your bride,” the priest said to Dimitri.
He stepped closer to her, took the edge of the veil, and slowly opened it. Now he could see her lovely face clearly.
He traced his hand to her face then to her neck and held her face, he leaned in and angled his head before placing his lips on her and everyone cheered.
He could feel his heartbeat at the kiss they shared. This was the second time and I felt like he was kissing his crush for the first time in his life. He let one of his hands trace her shoulder to her back before settling at the small of her back then drew her towards him so their chest was touching.
She felt the sensation of the kiss at the tip of her finger and that caused her to roll her eyes to the back of her head. She put her arms around his neck when he drew her closer, she was enjoying this as much as she never wanted to.
It is official she is his wife. Audriana Loveth Bernard Lorenzo. There is no going back and she isn’t sure if she can do this but prayed for strength. He drew circles at the small of her back and pressed her closer to himself so as to deepen the kiss.
When she felt him sticking his tongue in her mouth she freaked out and bit him mistakenly. He pulled away but stylishly so no one suspects or asks what was the matter. He looked at her as she bent her head embarrassed she bit his tongue. He tried to mask the pain he felt from the bite.
She felt embarrassed because he was her first kiss and didn’t know kissing involved any tongue or sort. She wondered what he was doing and mistakenly bit him.
They turned to the congregation who were on their feet clapping and cheering for them with smiles on their faces, with their hands entwined together. They went to hug their parents and exchanged pleasantries with some guests as he guided her outside so they could go to the reception hall.
