Shiela’s POV.
Lincoln and I sat on the carpet grass and enjoyed the breeze blowing from both sides. Everyone who saw us while they were passing by must have thought we were in a relationship or something and i adjusted a bit away from him several times but he came closer instead. So I gave up.
“Yeah there is something between us now” He read my mind.
“No Lincoln. Don’t say that to people” I said.
“We are best friends now aren’t we? That’s what is between us. I don’t care people thinks… all I know is that we are two lonely rejected wolfs who eventually became best of friends” He added and I rolled my eyes.
“Would you have Athena if she comes back pleading?” I asked him and he looked at me, shocked.
“I’m sorry if I must have hurt you with that question..”
“No no it’s fine. Well, I haven’t thought of it before but I don’t think I would have her back. Once a whore, forever more than a whore” Lincoln said with disgust and I looked at him with so much sympathy.
“I think I prefer being rejected than being with that bitch. At least I’ve got you and you got me right?” He said and I smiled.
“What about you?” He asked me.
“Me? What??” I stammered.
“Same question, what if Ashley comes back pleading, would you have him back?” He asked and I was mute for a while.
“Shi.. ella??” He waved his hand at my face.
“Yes. Yes I would have Ashley back” I told him and he frowned and shifted away from me.
“Lincoln, I love him regardless of his attitude. He will forever be my mate.. nothing can change that” I said.
“Didn’t you say if you were to choose a mate between Ashley and I. You would choose me?”
“Yeah.. and I mean it but it’s not possible and you know that Lincoln. Ashley is my mate and it feels like our wolfs shares a bond which draws me to him regardless of his wayward attitude”
“Do you think he feels that way too..
Ok.. Don’t try to explain further, I get it now. I’m only hurt because I’m already getting attached with you” He said.
“Lincoln you brought up this idea, you said when we become so intimate and Ashley will be the one running back to me but it’s making you catch feelings for me..”
“Yeah I remember I said and I’m trying not to. I like you so much Shiela and I just can’t help it”
“Lincoln!”
“Easy! I like you as a kid sister not as a lover anymore and I won’t watch you go astray” He said smiling and I smiled too.
“Are you sure accepting Ashley back into your life would make you happy?” He asked me.
“I don’t know yet but..”
“Don’t worry, I will beat the hell out of him if he doesn’t make you happy. No one dare offends my little sister” He said and I laughed.
“Guess what Shiela, Be prepared to see him on his kneels before you very soon”
“Huh, you think so? Why did you say so?”
“When we passed by his side earlier, I could see in his eyes, it was clouded with jealousy” Lincoln said.
“Ashley is beginning to regret why he rejected you” He added and blushed.
“Can’t you see my tactics worked nevertheless?”
“Indeed it worked. What about Athena, they are still together”
“He never liked Athena. He was only after her body. He never forced her, she threw herself shamelessly at him” He said and I nodded.
“Ashley loves what is under skirts” He whispered and I laughed.. yeah, that’s what made him a male slut.
We talked about other random stuffs and I really enjoyed his company. He indeed treated me like a little sister, exposing me to some things I needed to know..
“Who are they?” He suddenly stopped talking and pointed at two men who were hiding and peeping at the other buildings.
One of the men looked familiar but I couldn’t recall where I must have seen him.
“I don’t think they are from this band!” Lincoln said.
“Because I’m just seeing them for the very first time” He said.
“There are alot people here, you can’t know everyone”
“Yeah you are right, I don’t know everyone.. but I recognize people from this band even though I don’t relate with all of them” He said.. we watched them leave the corner they hid and walked into the building they were peeping into like normal people.
“They probably came to see someone here”
“Yeah. Logical thinking. You are smart” He said tapping my head like I were a baby.

Lincoln excorted me back to my room, few minutes after I settled down in the room.. Glinda came in. She actually knocked first and then I let her in.
She looked weak and pale.
“What’s wrong with you Glinda?” I panicked.
“It’s just a fever” She said.
“Are you sure? You look really Ill”
“I know right, I would take some drugs now and have enough rest”
“Oh better”
“Shiela, I don’t think I can do the cooking” She said.
“It’s about few hours to supper time and I have not gotten an hold of myself. I have no strength within me to cook tonight meal” She complained.
“Don’t worry, the other maids would help you out” I said.
“I’m actually the maid’s boss. I cook the meal or supervise them while they do so. But they mustn’t cook without my presence or supervision” she briefly explained to me.
“Oh” I mouthed
“Would you help me out in the kitchen?”
“To supervise them?”
“No to cook the supper. I… I already told them you are coming to cook the supper” she said and my eyes widened. I can actually cook but I was just shocked.
“Please Shiela, will you?”
“Sure. There is no big deal about that. Go and have enough rest Glinda. I wish you a fast recovery” I said and she hugged me so passionately. I could feel her temperature, it was warm.. almost hot.
“Do you need me to walk you to your room?” I asked her.
“No dear, it’s not far from here and Thanks dear” She said and left my room.
I sighed, I was afraid a little…’cos I was literally told to cook for everyone. What if I mess up for the very first time of my cooking history.
I went to the kitchen and met the maids doing one thing or the other.
“Are you the one cooking the meal?” A maid asked me.
“Yeah, Glinda came to me for assistance” I told them.
They brought all ingredients close to me and told me the meal I was gonna cook and I began.. and made sure I added the right quantity of all. The maids were helpful and nice too.
Soon the aroma filled the air and when I was done cooking, I left them alone to do the serving and then I went to the feast hall..
I was the first to get there and that should be because I was the one who cooked the meal and was aware that it was ready and time for supper.
Soon, Athena came in and joined me..
“Hi” I said to her, trying not to be rude.
“Hello” she responded. I didn’t say anything.. I kept fondling my fingers and avoiding gazes with her but I wasn’t comfortable, so I decided to leave and return when everyone is here..
Just when I stood up, she spoke.
“Have you ever had sex with your mate?” She suddenly asked me.
What??
“What? What mate?”
“I’m talking about the Alpha prince!” She said.
“Oh you are shocked, I know his your mate?”
Oh so she knows yet, she won’t stop clinging around him.
“Okay..” I said, leaving and ignoring her initial question.
“Did you two ever had sex or planned to or almost did or….?” I interrupted her immediately.
“What with this question?” I fired at her.
“Just answer me!”
“Did he reject your body this time around?”
“Oh well there’s no need to argue with you. I can see you have never seen the down part of him. Wait a minute, are you a virgin or..?”
I looked at her with detest.. like arrrgh, it’s this lady that has been sleeping with my supposed man… And she has the gut to talk to me about it.
“Or did Lincoln fucked you already?” She asked.
“Ugh.. I can see you’ve got at the uppermost part of your mind is S3x.. you whore! Holla me when you’ve got better things to spell out of your mouth” I could see that statement hurt her especially the word Whore, she stood up to confront and perhaps beat me when the all Alpha family came in..
“Ooou Shiela are you having dinner with us once again?” Aurora overwhelmed and I nodded.
“That’s good” She said..
“Hey Shiela” Ashley spoke to me with a smile.
Wait! Is it my ears and eyes that aren’t functioning.. I nodded, still puzzled as I went to sit next to Aurora.
“Hi Athena” He said to her but she hissed and left the hall..
“Are you two quarrelling?” The Luna asked him..
“Ugh no”
“I’m not in support of you guys relationship. Hell no, she would bring down this ancestry if she becomes the next Luna” The Alpha said.
“Daddy. You know about us too”

Ashley’s POV
“I’m not in support of you guys relationship. Hell no, she would bring down this ancestry if she becomes the next Luna” The Alpha said immediately Athena left the feast hall rudely and banged the door behind.
“Daddy. You know about us too” I was shocked because I do resent her clingy attitude when I’m with people.
“Hahaha, who doesn’t know about it” my twin sister said. She better watch her mouth and stop interfering..
“Ashley you are old enough to tell what is right and what’s not” My Daddy said and I nodded and looked at Shiela, who took her gaze off me as if what we were talking about is none of her business.
The maids walked in and served our meal which I started to eat because I was very hungry and the aroma was very appetizing..
“We should have our breakfast, lunch and dinner like this. Just the five of us. Doesn’t it feel like we are family?” Aurora said to Shiela and she smiled.
Ugh!
I finished eating my meal before anyone but I craved for more. I could feel it that my wolf also enjoyed the meal because it would stop wiggling it tail and dancing within.
I called on the maids and they served me another plate which in no time I consumed and almost licked the plate but because they were all watching me, including Shiela, so I tried to compose myself and drank some water.
“I can see you enjoyed the meal more than we do” My Dad said and I smiled.
“Yeah. It’s very delicious”
“No wonder, you are having a perfect time with us at the table without complaining or walking away like you did nowadays” He said and I giggled.
I called the maids again to request for another plate…
“It’s finished. I’m sorry” She said with a bow
“Finished?. Glinda always cook in excess just incase of necessity. What happened this time around?” I said then noticed I’ve not set my eyes on Glinda.
“By the way, where is Glinda?” I asked them
“Glinda is Ill.. she couldn’t cook today” They replied me.
“Oh that explains why the meal isn’t enough, this very time I crave for more and more it”
“So which one of you cooked this delicious meal?” I asked them and Shiela scoffed.
“Err … none of us did..”
“What? Athena? Was it Athena again? Jeez!”
“No no, it was not Athena. Shiela cooked the meal” One of the maids quickly said.
“Uuuh… Shiela? Like she?” I pointed at Shiela who was sitting next to my sister.
“Glinda has been a good friend to me, this is the only way I could help her out” She said.
Okay, this explains why I loved the meal, why my wolf enjoyed and wanted more.
