The next day….

The door burst open as Mrs Greyson rushed in with Brandon behind.
She stopped on her track surveying the room.
“What has gotten over you Claudia?”
“You want to know mom?”… Claudia asked and released a dry laugh.
“Well, everything has gotten over me mom,, Everything! The whole engagement stuff, I was so excited and overwhelmed about everything but what did it turn out to? It was cancelled and all because of what? That Jasmine!” She sounded bitter but not even a single tear drop.
“They’re in a relationship Claudia! You can’t expect them to break up just so you could get engaged to Liam. Besides, you barely know him”
“That’s right mom! I barely know him and that’s why I’m obsessed about him”

“You were supposed to fight for me mom! But what did you do? You praised and congratulated them”
“That’s the right thing to do. You shouldn’t fight it” Mrs Greyson said and Claudia scoffed.

Claudia remained quiet as she walked Into the bathroom
Mrs Greyson sighed looking around.
She called on the maids to tidy the room.
They were done and Claudia wasn’t out yet. Only the sound of running water was heard.
Not long, Claudia came out with a complete different cloth. Her wet hair damped on her shoulders. She walked past them like nobody’s in the room.
“Honey!” Mrs Greyson called moving close to her. Instead of responding, Claudia took a brush, combing her hair slowly just staring at her reflection.
Mrs Greyson took a step back turning to Brandon.
“I have a meeting to attend to. Keep an eye on her. Make sure she doesn’t try anything stupid”.

Mrs Greyson walked out having a whole lot on her mind. This was exactly the situation three years ago.
Brandon remained standing staring intensely at Claudia.
Claudia kept the brush and stood up. She walked towards Brandon and stopped in front of him. No one breaking the contact.

“You know what Jasmine! if my cousin wasn’t engaged, I’d gave matched make you two” Stephen said.
“Too bad! Sadly, I’m taken!” She said raising her hand, showing him the ring.
He pouted like he just lost a game.
“You ready Jasmine?” Adam asked.
“Sure!”
“C’mon, Stephen’s driving us to the hospital. He wanna say hi to Jace” Adam said.
“Oh, okay… let’s go”.
“Well Jace, This is Stephen and he’s a friend of mine” Adam said to Jace.
They arrived at the hospital a while ago.
Jace’s gaze lingered on both Adam and Stephen as he squinted his brows.
