“Also, I have consulted with a lawyer in the morning, if you are not willing to divorce me by agreement, I will continue to look until I find the right lawyer to fight this case Olson, even if it is not won, I do not care.”
The determination on Amelia Bright’s face seemed to be two thorns in Farren Austin’s eyes.
He frowned, his brow jumping hard, trying desperately to suppress the emotions that were about to break apart on his face.
“Let’s talk about the divorce, now come with me, we need to talk.”
“She doesn’t want to,”
White Wen’s voice was inserted between the two, who had just been silent until he saw Farren Austin’s consistently strong attitude, and Amelia Bright’s desperate efforts to conceal her resignation and reluctance.
” Mr. Austin, since she doesn’t want to, you shouldn’t force her, no man should force a woman to do anything when she doesn’t want to.”
Farren Austin’s face suddenly grimaced, “This is a matter between her and me, it’s not for outsiders to get involved.”
“Once it comes to divorce, you’re already an outsider too, no closer than I am an outsider.”
White Wen’s voice is slow and gentle, but unforgiving.
“Miss Bright, if you don’t want to go with him, just nod your head and I’ll get you out of here.”
“This is Hounslow,” Farren Austin said as he stepped between the two, blocking White Wen’s path towards Amelia Bright, his face sinking horribly.
“It’s just a foreign doctor, I won’t bother you with anything for the sake of your treatment of Halyn, but you’d better figure out what’s your business and what’s not.”
“Yes, an ordinary foreign doctor can’t stop the titular Hounslow Military District Chief,”
White Wen’s eyes hooked up a faint arc, from the pocket of a blue passport-sized book, handed Farren Austin smiled, not smiled.
“But the surname ‘Phillips’ should work.”
For a moment, Farren Austin’s face was extremely tense, his eyes almost glued to the small book of identification, more than thirty years of pride and dignity almost in this instant was crushed into crumbs.
The other side is still on cloud nine.
“If we continue with this standoff, I’m afraid it will cause no small diplomatic problems, I don’t want to cause trouble, and I don’t think you do either Mr. Austin, I’m taking her away today and no one can stop me.”
At the end of the sentence, his gaze went over Farren Austin’s shoulder and looked gently at Amelia Bright.
“Let’s go.”
Amelia Bright walked past Farren Austin without saying a word, carrying her bag and her own jacket.
“Amelia,” he suddenly took hold of her wrist, hard, as if he was afraid she would disappear if he let go.
Instead, she didn’t turn around, so she didn’t see that panic in his eyes at her leaving, the first time he’d shown it in years, a look of fear.
“At two o’clock in the afternoon, remember to come and get the divorce done, after today I will simply advance the divorce proceedings.”
After dropping these words, she withdrew her hand and left the restaurant with White Wen.
The north wind whistles past your ears.
White Wen’s car was heated enough, and once he got in he said easily, “It’s still some time before two o’clock, what’s interesting in Hounslow, take me for a walk.”
“Do you think I’m in the mood for that right now?”
“Then I don’t care,”
White Wen gripped the steering wheel with long, strong fingers, slowed to a stop at the traffic light, gently said, “You still owe me a meal, and just to help you get out, I even my old bottom out, for me is a pretty troublesome thing.”
Amelia Bright didn’t say a word.
White Wen, however, suddenly asked
“You don’t seem the least bit curious about what I just said to him, don’t you want to know what I really am? Even Hounslow’s chief couldn’t care less.”
At the words, her heart stuttered and she immediately looked up, “Ah? I …”
White Wen what identity she already knew, but now this moment does seem to be the right time to show surprise and curiosity, their own reaction is too bland some.
“In a bad mood even curiosity is gone, huh?”
White Wen even found a reason for her on her own.
She gave a related laugh, pretending to look out the window at the scenery, stammering, “Count, sort of.”
The light is green, let’s go, these two days downtown in the painting exhibition, not many people at this time, just as I take you to see.”
This was a slight change of subject, but White Wen didn’t seem to notice, and readily agreed.
“Yeah, locate where I’ll see.”
After entering the gallery, Amelia Bright snuck out while going to the bathroom.
She was relieved when she got a cab.
The most important thing is that now she can’t enjoy the care and consideration that White Wen gives her with the same peace of mind as before.
At 2:00 p. m., we finally met Farren Austin in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau.
“Active duty military?”
The person in charge of the procedure gave Farren Austin and Amelia Bright a surprised look, “You have to have political references if you want to get a divorce.”
“Materials? What kind of material?”
Amelia Bright froze for a moment.
“The mediation material issued by the Political Department, proving that the two people voluntarily dissolved their marriage, which is subject to review, the dissolution of military marriages are this process.”
“So if you don’t have this material, is it impossible to do it?”
Amelia Bright glanced at Farren Austin. They were both getting divorced for the first time, too, so who knew they had to prepare for this?
“Of course I can’t do it, and I don’t dare to do it for you.”
Hearing these words, for some reason, she felt a sense of relief in her heart.
But before the breath could be released, Farren Austin handed out a document.
“Brought it.”
In black and white, stamped with the red seal of the Political Department, the words “Dissolution of Marriage Approved” were printed in Amelia Bright’s eyes, which were unusually harsh.
The latter happened very quickly, the person in charge of getting the materials after the audit is correct, the divorce certificate quickly printed out, officially stamped just before she asked that
“Thinking about it? This covers up and you’re officially divorced.”
Amelia Bright glanced at Farren Austin, holding back a thousand thoughts in her head, her voice extraordinarily hushed, “Think about it.”
With the divorce certificate stamped, she and Farren Austin’s marriage was over.
There is no more connection other than this child in the womb.
When walking out of the Civil Affairs Bureau, the sun outside was very blinding and the wind was whipping even more in the open square.
“I’ll give you a ride.”
Farren Austin’s voice rang out behind him, not much emotion could be heard, but at least the downbeat was there.
“No, I’ll just go back by myself.”
She didn’t turn around, afraid that if she did, he would see her crying. After saying this, she went down the steps and walked towards the far side of the road without looking back.
Farren Austin didn’t catch up, standing straight as a statue on the highest step in front of the Civil Affairs Bureau, with a cold look on his face, his eyes following Amelia Bright’s figure until she got a cab and left.
The wind blew his nose a little red, and the back of his clenched hands were bruised.
