Allen texted me, so I checked my phone.
Allen’s message was: “If I need you to do anything, I’ll tell you. Also, why are you here?”
Rona woke up after I sent the message.
She wept and held her stomach.
“My stomach aches, Stephan. Is infant sick? ”
I sat on the bed’s edge. Rona sprang into my arms
“When will you marry me, Stephan? I’m a princess and I’m pregnant before I’m married. This will tarnish the Rosryal reputation.” She mumbled with her eyes closed.
“Don’t be like this, Rona. You’re like my sister. I won’t contemplate marriage till Mom wakes up. I’m sorry, but I can’t think about marrying you right now.”
“Stephen Buther, will you deny it?”
Rona grew agitated.
“Are you leaving me and our kid in the dark?”
I didn’t know what to do.
Rona bowed again. Her forehead sweated.
Her stomach ached again, so I contacted a doctor.
Doctors and nurses raced in.
“This lady’s emotions constantly changing. she needs to be treated immediately. Sir, it was hard to keep the infant safe. Can you be more careful?”
“Rona, you shouldn’t have been so agitated.”
Rona bit her lip.
“As the father, aren’t you being too harsh by not wanting this baby?”
“Rona, are you trying to force me to marry you? Give me some time. Stop being so demanding,” I sighed.
“Fine. But I can’t wait long because this kid can’t. I hope you won’t let me down, Stephan Buther.”
I needed my memories back to learn the truth.
I had to determine whether the baby was mine and if Daina was my partner.
Allen called the following morning.
Rona seemed to be sleeping, so I left the room to take the phone.
“Mr. Stephan Buther, I’ve read your reply. I came to the Moonlight Pack for Daina. This was the duty you previously set me.”
Allen’s words stunned me.
What happened to Daina?
“I’ve always trusted you, Allen. Right now, I’ve lost some memories. I have so many questions about things I haven’t figured out. Please tell me honestly. my What’s connection with Daina? Why did I want you to look after her?”
“Mr. Stephan Buther, I’ve been in the Moonlight Pack. I’m sorry I couldn’t defend you better. Oh my God! How could you lose your memories?”
Answer my inquiries before worrying about my forgetfulness.
“Daina is your mate. You requested me to come to the Moonlight Pack to guard her.”
Allen’s response surprised me again. My most trusted subordinate.
This proved Rona had lied to me.
Allen was asked to examine Rona’s recent activities.
“Copy that, Mr. Stephen Buther. If you wish to meet Daina, I can bring her. Ask her whatever questions you have.”
Let’s meet at 4 p. m.
After telling Allen when and where, I hung up.
Rona’s POV:
Last night was restless.
Stephan Buther’s remoteness made it hard for me to sleep.
I knew someone significant phoned Stephan Buther when he left the ward when his phone rang.
I eavesdropped on his chat out of curiosity.
I couldn’t get closer to Stephan Buther’s low voice, so I could only hear parts and pieces.
He was suspicious of me, so he requested someone to watch me.
He booked another appointment.
I tiptoed to my bed before Stephan Buther hung up.
I hid under the blanket and pretended to be sleeping, but I was worried.
I couldn’t convince Stephan Buther that this was his kid.
I planned to offer him reasons to spend the day with me.
If Stephan Buther met Daina and fell for her, my prospects with him would plummet.
Door opened.
I pretended to be sleeping when Stephan Buther returned.
The doctor informed Stephan Buther, “She may be released in two days. Please take care of her.”
A nurse delivered brunch thereafter.
We ate in the ward together.
I grasped the chance. I coughed while holding my chest.
“I’m still sick. Can you remain with me and our kid today?”
Buther shrugged.
I have to depart. Don’t worry; the nurses will take care of you.
“Stephan Buther, why do it after I leave the hospital? I need you now.”
“Rona, you’re an adult, not a kid. I need my space. Please stop bugging me, okay?”
His persistence irritated me. I clutched his wrist and shouted, “Stephen Buther, please don’t go. I’m afraid. If you want to go, take me and our kid.”
I pretended to faint.
Stephan Buther compromised.
“Calm down, Rona. The doctor said you can’t become too emotional or stressed. Fine. I’ll remain, but you can’t constantly hold me back like this. I hope you straighten up.
Stephan Buther then sat at the other desk.
Why wouldn’t I love him? My jaw tightened as I recalled how he tried to remove himself from me.
Unacceptable! So I told Oku to murder Daina quickly.
I quickly got a response.
He claimed everything was ready and I should just wait.
Allen:
Dason and I woke up together and ate breakfast with everyone.
I regarded Daina.
“By the way, Daina, I’ve also contacted Mr. Stephan Buther. It’s a good thing he hasn’t forgotten me. We’ve made plans to meet this afternoon. I’ll take you with me to see him. You can explain things to him in person. I’ll be there to back you up. He trusts me a lot. So as long as I’m with you, he’ll believe you. You two will soon clear up any misunderstandings
“Wow, thanks! You’re the greatest uncle ever!”
Daina cried.
Edgar hurried to the villa after breakfast.
I introduced him and brought him to Teddy’s room.
We saw Edgar treat Teddy.
Edgar studied Teddy thoroughly.
Daina seemed concerned.
“Don’t worry. I know Elder Teddy’s identity is a secret. Edgar is an old friend of mine. You can depend on him to keep it a secret.”
“How’s Edgar?” I inquired.
“His condition is complicated. I’ve dealt with many cases, but none was like his. I plan to stay here and take him on regular walks. That should help him recover. As for his identity, I’ll keep it a secret. Allen told me everything about him. Rest and proper exercise should help Teddy regain his sanity. Fortunately, this villa is in a remote location and pretty safe. I won’t take him too far.”
We both grinned.
I’m delighted I can assist Allen, and I’m convinced I can treat Teddy.
“Thanks again, Edgar.”
Everyone thanked Edgar when Daina bowed to him.
