Chapter 255

The moment the cold instrument touched her thigh
The moment the cold instruments touched her thighs, there was a loud boom of the door opening, accompanied by noisy blocking sounds and women’s curses, the whole operating room became like a vegetable market in chaos.
The metal instruments all overturned and sent out ear-piercing sharp clashing sounds.
Doctors and nurses were in a mess.
Amelia Bright’s overlapping light was suddenly obscured by a figure, backlit, she saw an angry face, but the effects of anesthesia suddenly came up, her thinking was a bit confused, propped up on the operating table to sit up, the moment she received a heavy slap in the face.
The “pop” sound, the flesh collided with friction.
“Amelia Bright, what have we in the Austin family done to you? How dare you abort Farren’s baby behind our backs?”
The slap brought back the clarity in her eyes, and all at once she saw the woman in front of her.
It was Erlina Lee, her mother-in-law.
“Mom, what are you doing here?”
She covered her face, the fiery pain invaded her whole body, her back hurt even more than when she had just been put under anesthesia, and for a moment her mind was empty.
Erlina Lee was shaking with anger, “I didn’t come, so you aborted Farren’s baby, right? Amelia Bright, what do you have against me to our the Austin family, you say it, why do you take it out on the baby?”
“I… No, Mom, it’s not what you think.”
“What’s not what I think, I saw you lying on the operating table, isn’t this an abortion?”
Erlina Lee grabbed her by the wrist and yanked her straight down the table, “You get down here, I’m telling you, no matter what you think, you want to hurt my grandson, no way.”
“Ma’am, you can’t do this.”
“Stop her now.”
The doctors and nurses in the operating room were in disarray, but Erlina Lee had not come alone, and was followed by two bodyguards who stopped all the doctors and nurses who tried to come forward.
“Mom, let go of me, it’s not what you think, this child …”
She tried to explain properly to Erlina Lee, but as soon as she looked up, she saw a figure she least expected to see.
Calla Moon unexpectedly came too.
At this moment, Calla Moon walked in quickly, with a face of urgency
” Aunt Austin, what’s going on? Amelia is still pregnant, you can’t drag her like this.”
“She’s going to kill my grandson if I don’t drag her, Calla Moon, leave it alone … Amelia Bright, get down and come with me.”
Amelia Bright was yanked and stumbled, she was not even wearing pants at the moment, her lower half was covered only with a green surgical disposable sterile cloth, which was also almost ripped off in the tug.
It was a humiliating and absurd scene that she had never expected.
Calla Moon stopped Erlina Lee.
“Mothers and children are connected. Amelia probably just had a momentary argument with Farren and didn’t really mean to do this,” she said.
She tried to help Amelia Bright and said.
“I know all about your fight with Farren, you can’t make fun of the baby even if you’re angry.”
Amelia Bright blushed at the sight of Calla Moon, and, holding back the humiliation of the moment, said in a muffled voice.
“Miss Mu, this has nothing to do with you, please go out.”
Calla Moon’s outstretched hand stalled in mid-air, seemingly a bit embarrassed, “I mean well.”
“Put away your good intentions,”
Amelia Bright said weakly, as she pulled the operating table with one hand to prevent being yanked away by Erlina Lee.
“This is between me and Farren, no need for outsiders to get in the middle of it.”
Calla Moon froze for a moment, seemingly speechless.
The sound of footsteps at the door of the operating room was steady and strong, but with a sense of urgency.
Farren Austin, still in his training uniform, all camouflage, his military boots stained with dust from the training ground, puffing out the wind and dust, pushed the door open and came in at a brisk pace.
Without asking the reason, he quickly went to Amelia Bright’s side and directly took off his jacket and tied it around her waist.
After doing so, he turned around and asked in a cold voice.
“What’s going on? What are you doing?”
This statement undoubtedly included ‘Calla Moon’ who was standing next to Erlina Lee.
Calla Moon blushed and immediately explained.
“Farren, I happened to be looking for Master for something at noon, and I was chatting with Auntie before I left, but I didn’t know that Auntie suddenly heard the news that Amelia was going to have an abortion, and I was afraid that there was some kind of misunderstanding, so I came along.”
Erlina Lee is cross-eyed, angry, said.
“Farren, do you know that if I had come one step later, this vicious woman would have aborted your child, which is your first child?”
Farren Austin’s brow furrowed slightly as he looked down at Amelia Bright, who was leaning in his arms.
She kept her head down and didn’t say a word, not meaning to explain in the slightest.
Half a day later, a cool, calm voice came from overhead.
“Mom, I will explain this matter to you later.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I know about the abortion, but I’ll tell you the exact reason later.”
Amelia Bright looked up in amazement and looked at Farren Austin with a dazed gaze.
Why did he say that? Did he really know … or was it just to defend himself?
Erlina Lee almost exploded.
“Farren, you can’t defend her without a bottom line, helping to cover up even this kind of thing, do you know why she is so eager to abort? Don’t you suspect that the child is not yours at all?”
In one sentence, the dirty water was almost poured through. The doctors and nurses in the operating room looked at each other, exchanging unspoken gossip about the gentry with their eyes.
Amelia Bright almost pinched her nails into her palm, humiliated, but because so many people were present, even the woman she was most concerned about, she was so exhausted that she didn’t even have the strength to argue.
There was nothing she could say about it.
“That’s enough,” Farren Austin, however, gave his mother a cold look, “Mom, watch your words out there.”
Without further ado, he picked Amelia Bright up in his arms and walked towards the outside of the operating room.
“Farren!”
Erlina Lee’s voice was extraordinarily shrill, but could not call out to the two figures.
Calla Moon watched them leave, one hand gradually tightening into a full, bony knuckle whitening.
Farren Austin carried Amelia Bright to the car and instructed Adjutant Xun to drive.
There was no sound in the car on the way, the air seemed to freeze, even coughing seemed abrupt.
When we arrived home, the anesthetic had completely worn off.
After the door was closed, the living room looked a bit dim.
Farren Austin casually touched a thin layer of dust on the shoe rack in the foyer, frowned, and glanced out of the corner of his eye to see Amelia Bright with his jacket tied around her waist and both legs still bare.
“Go change your clothes first, I’ll wait for you in the living room.”
Amelia Bright let out a hint, took a deep breath, and went upstairs.
What was to come was always to come.
She wanted to bring this matter to a quiet end, but God forbid, things had gotten so big that it looked like it was already impossible to end it.
Five minutes later, she came downstairs.
Farren Austin had made tea on the coffee table in the living room, the fragrance of Longjing waved throughout the house, warm, but the smell was cold.
Amelia Bright clenched her hand and went over to sit down.
