Arabella’s point of view.
“I think we should head back, Ara, Wymond gave you a strict warning not to see Drake without him” Renee said for the thousandth time.
“Don’t worry, I’ll take every blame” I assured her for the thousandth time too and continued pulling her with me.
We’re currently searching for Drake’s cell in the dungeon, because I wanna have a talk with him privately before Wymond does.
“What if Wymond comes in and sees us here? How are you gonna defend yourself?” she asked.
“That’s why we should hurry up” I stopped by a cell as a familiar scent whiffed past my nostrils. “It’s here” I nodded at the cell.
Renee quickly faced the guards, she ordered them to open the door, which they did without asking any questions and we rushed in.
My eyes searched around for Drake and I saw him sitting in a very dark corner, I wouldn’t have seen him if I wasn’t a werewolf, because it’s so dark and I had to locate him with the aide of my wolf.
“Drake” I called him.
He quickly raised his head when he heard his name, or more like heard my voice.
“Ara, Ara, Ara is that you?” he reached for my hands and held them tightly.
“Drake, what happened? Why did you collaborate with that evil man? And how did you even got to know him?” I asked.
These are the questions I wanna ask him and there’s no need beating around the bush.
“It’s a very long story that I can’t tell you now, but there’s something very important I want you to do right away” he said, there’s a hint of urgency in his words.
“What?” I asked.
“The kids…” he trailed off and coughed a few times.
Kids? What kids?
That’s when my mind flashed back to those kids that were kidnapped and are kept in isolation.
“What about the kids?” I asked him.
“They…” he coughed again. “… they don’t have much time left, they’ll soon start vomiting and it’ll be too late to save them once they pass out after vomiting”
“So, what should I do to save them?”
He sighed.
“I have been researching on how to detoxify the poison to prevent them from transforming into those monsters and get them back to normal” he paused and gestured towards his inner pocket. “There’s a bottle of medicine, take it out”
My eyes landed on the handcuff in his hands, which is making it impossible for him to reach his inner pocket.
I quickly reached for his pocket and there’s truly a small bottle of medicine inside, which I pulled out without wasting anytime.
“It’s the antidote I’ve managed to produce, but I haven’t tested it on anyone before and I can’t guarantee how effective it is”
A frown appeared on my face as I stared at the tiny black pills inside the bottle, I raised an eyebrow at him.
“It’s not gonna kill them, but I don’t know if it’s gonna work right away just try it on them -it’s better than nothing” he said.
“Alright, I’ll be back later” I told him.
“Hm” he hummed and nodded. “Hurry up, go!” he urged me.
I got up and faced Renee.
“Do you know where Wymond kept those kids?”.
“Yeah, come with me” she replied and led the way.

Third person’s point of view.
King Wymond rubbed shut his eyes and rubbed his forehead in frustration, he could only watched the kids groaning and rolling in an excruciating pain.
“Your Majesty, we fed some of them your blood, but it seemed like it’s worsening their conditions” Edward said.
King Wymond sighed, he pushed his hair back and focused his gaze on a little girl who was crying bitterly.
“There’s no way to save them, your Majesty, killing them is the best option now”
King Wymond walked towards the little girl, he carried her in arms and studied her eyes that were already changing colors.
“It’s too late” he muttered.
His mind flashed back to the promise he made to his mate, he promised her he’d not kill them but now he has to since there isn’t no way out.
“Kill them!” he ordered and dropped the little girl.
He quickly turned away when his eyes caught a guard, who was about stabbing a kid with a sword, he balled his fist and took a very deep breath.
Then all of a sudden, just when the guards were about stabbing the kids, they heard a loud yell….
“Stop it!!”

Arabella’s point of view.
Renee stopped at a door and pushed it open, my eyes widened at the sight that beheld me and a frightened gasp left my mouth, that I didn’t even realized when a scream left my mouth.
“Stop it!!” I shouted, my voice was so filled with authority.
They freezed and turned towards me, I rushed towards Wymond.
“I thought we agreed that you wouldn’t kill the kids until I see them!” I snapped at him.
He looked away from me, making sure to avoid my eyes.
“We have no choice, it’s already too late…”
“Who said we have no choice?” I cut him off. “And besides it’s not too late, I have an antidote here” I said flaunting the bottle of antidote in his face.
He narrowed his eyes at the bottle and I know he’s trying to figure out how I got it.
“Where did you get this antidote from?” Wymond asked me.
I didn’t answer him because I know he’d be angry if I tell him, I simply ignored him and turned to face the kids that were still groaning in great pains.
I started putting the pills in their mouth, two pills to a kid.
“You know I can tell you where you are coming from with just a sniff, so, it’s better you start talking!” he growled in a intimidating tone, but I’m not intimidated at all.
“Wymond, let’s talk about this when we get back” I told him.
“No, we’re talking about it here”
He grabbed my hand and snatched the bottle from me, his expression changed drastically as he took a sniff and he narrowed his eyes at me.
“You went to see him?” he asked, but he didn’t let me answer before he continued. “I told you not go see him alone, but you didn’t listen and still went there, right?”
Is this argument really important right now?
He’s staring at me with some kind of doubts lurking around his blue iris, why is he doubting me? Or is he suspecting me of something?
“Why are you not saying anything?” he asked.
“What should I say?” I asked him back as I snatched the bottle back from him. “Yes, I did meet Drake and he gave me these antidotes, if….”
“I told you not to meet with him alone, do you know how dangerous it is? What if he had did something to harm you?”
“But he didn’t and I wasn’t alone, Renee went there with me. Besides, Drake is not a bad guy, he was…. ”
He cut me off with a scoff.
“He’s not a bad guy?” he scoffed again. “Then what was he doing with Marshall in that cave? Why didn’t he report Marshall if he isn’t a bad guy?”
“He was under Marshall’s control, Marshall casted a deception spell on him and he wasn’t himself until lately…. ”
He cut me off with a loud laugh, then pushed his hair back which made him look so young and handsome, no, beautiful, that should be the word to describe him right now -he’s fuçking hot even in the heat of an argument.
“You’re defending him, why?”
“I’m not defending him… ”
“You are!” he yelled at me. “Oh, right, I recalled what your brother told me about you two”
I frowned slightly, Arthur told him something? When? And what the heçk did he say about Drake and I?
“He said you and that son of a bitçh love each other so much…” he paused briefly. “… to the extent you both wanted to give up your mate, right?” he asked looking directly in my eyes.
What? Arthur, that blabbermouth told him this too?
My eyes took a quick glance around, there are a lot of guards here and talking about any of this here doesn’t make any sense -it wouldn’t look good for Wymond’s reputation too.
“Wymond, let’s talk about all this at home…”
“We are not talking about anything at home!” he snapped. “You’re always nervous when it comes to that motherfuçker, I told you to stay back in the palace but you snuck out because of him, I told you to rest at home and wait until I bring you with me to see him, but yet again, you couldn’t wait and snuck out to see him… are falling for him again now that he’s back?”
My frown deepened at once at his words.
“Wymond, you’ve got to stop talking, because I’m starting to get pissed off by your words -are you even listening to yourself right now?”
How can he say I’m falling for Drake?
Yeah, I hate Drake, but it doesn’t mean I’d watch him die when I know he’s not a bad guy.
“I’m not wrong, you wanna get back together with him”
“Wymond…”
He grabbed my arms and look into my eyes for a moment, then let out a sarcastic laugh as he nodded.
“I get it now” he said.
“Get what?” I asked in confusion.
“You didn’t want us to mate because you’re saving your virginity for him, right?”
“What?”
He let out another sarcastic laugh and let go of my arms too.
“Or, you’ve already given it to him?”
I’m not a kind of person who let others see my tears because words don’t easily get to me, but surprisingly I’m letting tears flow from my eyes right now, it seems like Wymond’s words got to me this time and I don’t understand why -weird.
Why can’t I retort his speech? Why couldn’t I defend myself when he said those words? Why am I weak in front of him? And very importantly, why did I let his words get to me?
“You wouldn’t let me touch you because of that motherfuçking @sshole, right? You’d prefer him touching you to me, your mate, touching you, right?”
I couldn’t take it anymore, I raised my hand and landed my palm on his cheek, giving him a resounding slap -though I felt my hand hurting but I didn’t care, because my heart’s hurting even more at that moment.
“You’re jerk!” I growled. “A childish jerk at that!” with that I stormed out as I let more tears flood my face.
