Arabella’s point of view.
A loud bang on my door disturbed my peaceful sleep, I reached for my pillow and covered my ears as I tried to go back to sleep.
But unfortunately, someone is against me and doesn’t want me to sleep.
Another louder bang came and I was forced to open my eyes, I sat up and threw a malicious glare towards the door, wishing my glare would just send whoever is behind that door six feet under.
Anger was still boiling in me, until I took a whiff of the scent coming from the door and I realized it’s Arthur.
I gritted my teeth and balled my fist, of course, it’s him because no one would bang on my door like a mad dog -I growled mentally.
I was so ready to storm over and beat him black and blue, but then last night’s event replayed in my head and my face heated up as embarrassment got the best of me -I mean, I’m never gonna get the end of it from Arthur today.
“ARABELLA HUMPHREY!” he shouted from outside.
Oh, no, what should I do now? I can’t let him or mom see me, what should I do?
I turned to Wymond’s side but he’s not there, don’t tell me he left me to face this embarrassment alone.
Amy scoffed.
*Isn’t it obvious that you’re alone?* she sassed.
*Huh?* I started to panic.
She barked a laugh and I could imagine her shaking her head.
*Fret not, he’s around, I can feel him*
*Really?*
*Yeah, I think he’s in the living room or kitchen* she said.
“Arabella Humphrey, open this d@mn door!” Arthur shouted still banging on the door.
Hmm, maybe I should just sneak out through my window and hang out with Daphne until Wymond’s ready to go back to the palace -yeah, that’s a very good idea.
Thankfully, Wymond isn’t here to embarrass me even more.
“Ara, don’t tell me you intend to hide in your room all day” Arthur said with a hint of cockiness in his words.
I scoffed.
“Hiding in my room is better than seeing your annoying face” I replied.
“Oh? So… aren’t you going to school?” he asked.
“Nope, today’s saturday dummy” I laughed at his ignorance.
“Heh” he scoffed, then I heard his footsteps fading away.
A triumph smile spread on my face, he thinks he’s very smart, I will outsmart him this time.
I jumped off my bed and dashed into the bathroom, I stood in front of the full length mirror in my room and stripped off my towel, then I began admiring myself.
But a short scream escaped my mouth, when I saw hickeys from my neck down to my chest.
“Wymond!” I growled his name lowly as I glared at the hickeys.
Thank goodness for foundations that exists in my time, else I wouldn’t know what to do with these.
“He’ll answer to me for these” I narrowed my eyes like those villains in the movies.
★★★★★
Taking a final look at myself in the mirror, I nodded in satisfaction and winked at myself.
My foundation did a perfect job covering the hickeys Wymond left on my chest, that silent Mr romantic.
Silent Mr romantic? Wow, what a nickname.
“Oh Ara, you’re so pretty, I love your heavy @ss” I praised myself -though, I’m nothing compared with Wymond’s sisters but I didn’t fall behind.
I reached for my bag and flung it on my shoulder, my phone beeped as I approached the window.
Quickly checking it, I saw it’s a text from Daphne, explaining she can’t hang out with me today because she and her family are visiting our neighboring pack on Alpha Jarek’s command.
I sighed softly, I guess it’s just me now.
I lazily dragged my feet towards my window and without wasting time, I jumped over.
“Phew, that was pretty smooth” I said and dust my hands as I land on my feet.
But a startled scream left my mouth when I raised my head and saw Arthur leaning by my window with his arms perfectly folded on his chest.
He raised his eyebrows at me with a sly smirk playing on his face, oh no, don’t tell me he’s been waiting for me here.
“Surprise” he waved at me.
I simply glared at him.
“Sister Ara, are you rushing somewhere that you couldn’t leave through the front door?” he asked mockingly.
“This is so low” I gritted out.
His shoulders shook as he laughed at my expression.
“I knew you’d wanna escape through your window”
I held up my head proudly, trying to make it seem as if I wasn’t actually escaping like he had said.
“I wasn’t escaping, I had to go shopping for phones and I thought taking my window is the shortest way” I said.
“Shopping for phones? Isn’t your phone still new?” he asked, nodding at my phone.
“Yes, but my mate doesn’t have a phone, so I wanted to get him one” which wasn’t a lie by the way.
“Hm” he hummed. “Then you should wait for your mate and you can go together, after all, you don’t know his choice”
“It’s none of your business wether I know his choice or not, he’ll accept whatever I choose for him” then made a run for it.
Arthur chased after me immediately and quickly caught up with me, he grabbed my hand.
“Well, Miss Humphrey, mom said you can’t leave the house without having breakfast” then be started pulling towards our house.
“Let me go, I’m not hungry” I tried to get away from him, but the annoying fool had a strong hold on me.
“Mom said breakfast is the most important meal of the day” he replied.
I used my free hand to continuously hit his back as hard as I could, hoping he’d let go but he didn’t let go or even wince.
“Let go of me, let go of me you brute!” I shouted. “Help, someone help me, he’s kidnapping me!” I looked around as I called for help.
Our neighbors (a man and his mate) who were working on their garden, simply laughed in amusement instead of coming to help me, they shook their head at our naughtiness, no, Arthur’s naughtiness.
“Ara, your brother can’t kidnap, he’s taking you home to eat breakfast” Mr West (the husband) said, he must have heard when Arthur was talking about breakfast.
“Thank you, Mr West” Arthur thanked him.
“Don’t thank him” I hit his back, then raised my head. “Mr West, he’s taking me home to get me killed”
Mr West laughed.
“Don’t worry, Ara, your mate won’t let him kill you”
Mr West words just seem to worsen my case, Arthur burst into an uncontrollable laughter and I clearly know why he’s laughing.
“Don’t worry, Ara, none of remembered what happened last night” he said.
“Shut up” I smacked his head.
He continued laughing as he approached our porch.
