EVERGREEN PACK (Pack’s boundary)
Alpha Jarek looked at the fields, his eyes narrowed in anger when he saw his warriors being slaughtered, the grass was covered in their blood.
“Alpha, the warriors morale are dropping, it seems like we’re losing the fight” one of the top warriors said.
“They took us unaware….”
“There is no taking unaware” Alpha Jarek cut in. “We should always be prepare for the unexpected, this wouldn’t be happening if our warriors took their training seriously!” he growled.
He balled his fist and glared at the attacking wolves’s leader, the leader was smirking from the other side of the field -he’s waiting for Alpha Jarek’s attack.
“Alpha, how about you take out their leader?” his beta suggested.
“Yes, the others will retreat if their leader’s out” another warrior added.
Alpha Jarek shook his head in disagreement.
“I can’t, my wolf is blind and I’m too old to withstand him” he gestured at the leader.
“How about marrying my mom and making me your heir?” Arthur asked, jumping out of nowhere.
Alpha Jarek frowned slightly when he saw him.
“Arthur, what are you doing here?” he asked, but didn’t let Arthur speak before he continued. “Leave here right away and go to the safehouse, hurry!”
Arthur sighed.
“Alpha Jarek, I can take out that guy for you but on one condition -marry my mom” he said.
He rushed to the middle of the field before Alpha Jarek could say anything, he waved at the attacking wolves’s leader.
“Hi, I’m Arthur Humphrey”
“I don’t care whatever your name is little boy, run home and hide yourself or my warriors would crush you” the leader said.
Arthur pouted his lips and looked at the leader with puppy eyes.
“Aww, and here I was thinking we could be friends”.
He shrugged his shoulders, puffed out some air, twisted his lips slightly and folded his hands behind him.
“Well, since you don’t wanna be my friend, then you can be my enemy”
“Interesting”
“You’re not worthy to fight my alpha, how about you fight me first and see if you can beat?”
The leader scoffed.
“Alpha Jarek, are you really hiding behind this little boy?”.
“Oh? Little boy?” Arthur chuckled. “Let’s fight and see if I’m truly a little boy or if you’re a dying chicken”
“You…”
The leader narrowed his eyes, barred his teeth at Arthur showing him his canines as if to scare him away, but Arthur didn’t flinch.
“Oh, just a heads-up before you fight me, I’m the beast king’s brother-in-law… do you wanna be the beast king’s enemy?”
The leader laughed.
“And you think I’d believe that?”
The leader charged at Arthur, but his legs were suddenly stuck and he couldn’t move.
He tried a few times, but still couldn’t move. He glared at Arthur.
“What the fuçk did you do to me?!” he growled.
“Nothing” Arthur replied, opening his hands to prove his words.
“You b@stard, release me and watch me tear your pack down!” he growled.
Arthur looked around and realized both their warriors and the attacking wolves weren’t fighting, everyone halted in funny positions; some were having their teeth on another wolf’s neck, some were about slashing another wolf’s back or face.
He frowned as he wondered what’s going on, everyone is as surprised as him.
He faced Alpha Jarek, but Alpha Jarek was even more confused.
“Jarek let go of me this instant and watch me burn down your pack!” the leader ranted.
“Shut up and….”
Arthur’s words were stuck in his throat, when two men suddenly appeared in the middle of the field.
There was a moment of silence as everyone were staring at the two men in surprise, nobody knows or recognize who they are.
The leader cleared his throat and broke the silence.
“Hey, who are….”
One of the men turned his head towards him and he (the leader) shut up immediately, he gulped nervously and looked away quickly.
“Brother-in-law?!” Arthur exclaimed with a smile.
He towards Alpha Jarek and shouted. “I know him, he’s my brother-in-law” he turned to the leader. “The great King of all supernatural creatures!”
Everyone gasped loudly, Edward snapped his fingers and undid the spell he casted on them earlier.
They all fell on their faces except the leader who was actually thinking of running away, but Wymond narrowed his eyes at him and his legs stayed rooted in a place.
Something caught Wymond’s attention in the woods, he leaned closer to Edward.
“Take him to the dungeon” he nodded at the leader. “And send my brother-in-law home, my mother-in-law is worried about him” he said then dashed into the woods.
★★★★★
Arabella’s point of view.
It’s so rowdy when we arrived at our pack, it’s foggy everywhere as very thick and dark smoke were emitting from burning houses.
Dead bodies laid on the ground in pools of blood, my heart squeezed painfully when I saw a pup crying bitterly next to his mother’s corpse.
Everyone’s running for their dear lives, trying to find a safe place for their family, while some are fighting either in their wolf’s form or human form.
Grunts and groans filled my ears as those in their wolf’s form were biting and slashing each other with their claws.
This is just a fight in the streets, if the fight in the streets is as bloody as this, then how would the battlefield be like by now?.
“Fuçk, don’t tell me we came late!” Renee exclaimed quietly as she looked around.
My shoulders slumped down as sadness hit me.
“We’re late, we’re too late” I whispered.
This doesn’t seem like a rogue attack because I can’t perceive any foul smell of rogues in the air, it’s definitely one of the other packs.
But why would they attack us so suddenly?.
We’re (Renee, Daphne and I) currently hiding behind a tree and observing the situation, we can’t just rush in without finding out what’s going on.
Wymond and Edward didn’t come with us because they didn’t even know we’re here, they both rushed off earlier immediately I told them about the situation in my pack.
“Ara, I think I should head home too and check on my family, they must be worried about me too” Daphne said.
“Ok, take care of yourself” I told her, she nodded, her clothes ripped into tiny shards as she transformed and ran off.
“I guess I should head home too, my brother’s missing and my mom might be in danger” I told Renee.
“Alright, I’ll come with you” she said.
I turned towards the direction of my home, but feet stayed frozen when something or should I say someone caught my attention.
My eyes widened and a scream left my mouth when I saw a burning wood falling, towards a girl of about five or six years underneath it, she squatted and covered her ears as she closed her eyes and cried desperately for help.
I rushed towards the girl without thinking twice, thanks to my wolf’s speed I was able to snatch her from there but I wasn’t fast enough -the wood fell on my leg and I hissed as it burned me.
“Ara!” I heard Renee called me as she rushed towards me.
But I ignored the burn and pushed it off quickly then turned back to the girl, I looked her all over and sighed in relief when I didn’t see any injuries on her.
“Are you ok?” I asked her.
“Ye-yeah” she hiccuped.
“Where’s your Mama?” I asked again.
The little girl looked around for a moment then shook her head, she rubbed her eyes and started crying.
“Hush, hush” I hushed her gently. “Your momma must looking for you too, how about you stay with us until your Mama come back for you?” I asked suggestively.
“Hm” she nodded quickly.
Renee squatted to our level and stared at my burnt leg pitifully, she touched it softly which made me hissed loudly.
“Are you ok?” she asked me.
“I’m fine”
“Let’s get out of here” she said, I nodded and she helped me up.
I carried the little girl in my arms and we started running towards the direction of my home, but then again I halted when I saw a helpless teenager trying to fight off a very big wolf.
There are some pups behind her whom she seemed to be protecting, but unfortunately, from the look of things, the wolf’s obviously way stronger than her.
I turned to Renee.
“It seems we can’t leave now” I said.
