Mara’s POV
I felt a musculine touch…with both hands resting on my shoulder…massaging them as I sat on the soft chair in my library.
“Ethane” I said without raising my head to look at my boyfriend.
“Babe” he kissed me on the cheek
“Ethane I am very busy now…maybe later” I took his hands off my shoulders and focused all my attention on the file that was in front of me.
“As usual” he let out a deep breath and I could sense that he was disappointed.
“And what do you mean by that?” I closed the file and faced him as I stood up from my chair.
“You always do this…you are always busy…too busy for me. It’s quite unfair” Ethane complained as he grabbed me by the waist and pulled me close towards him…making my b**bs hit his chest.
“Ethane I am not in the mood for this right now…I have work to do” I tried to pull myself away from him but he refused to let me go.
“Baby…you are always busy and if I continue to do only what you want then there would be no romance” he brought his lips close to mine and brushed his lips against mine as well.
“Don’t you think now is the best time for me to claim you” he whispered as he caressed my face.
“Ethane we shouldn’t do this now.. I..” I struggled to whisper but he placed his index finger on my lips and shushed me.
“Let’s go baby…I am tired of all this waiting” he pulled me even closer and that was when I knew that we weren’t even close enough.
“Ethane” I whispered slowly as I could feel myself melting in his arms.
“When” I heard my mum clear her throat from outside as she stood by the door.
“I’m sorry…I didn’t mean to disturb you two…please continue whatever you were doing” my mum left the door step.
Ethane finally freed me and I could breath properly again not until he went to lock the door.
He gave me an evil smirk as he slowly made his way towards me.
“Now no one will disturb us,” he said.
“Ethane we can’t do this here…I mean it’s not comfortable” I swallowed a huge chunk of my saliva.
“Don’t worry baby…I have my ways of making you comfortable” he whispered as he stood in front of me with his hands wrapped around my waist with his index and thumb on my chin.
“Stop it! That’s enough” I pushed him away.
“Why?” Ethane looked very confused and lost.
“Don’t you love me anymore? Did I do something wrong?” He was panicking and asking me so many questions at the same time.
“No Ethane you didn’t do anything wrong” I looked at my feet in disappointment and regret as to why I pushed him away in the first place.
“THEN WHY DO YOU TREAT ME THIS WAY!!” Ethane yelled at me and his voice echoed in the room like a thunderstorm.
“Ethane please..” I tried to calm him down as I clutched into his elbows but he flung my hands away.
“No Mara!!! No!! Not any more…I am sick and tired of this attitude of yours. I can no longer keep up with it. You don’t care for me, you don’t show me any form of love…you are always too busy and you never have my time.
Sometimes I feel like you don’t even love me.. MARA I AM GOING TO ASK YOU THIS FOR THE LAST TIME DO YOU LOVE ME?!!” He shook me and angrily moved himself and me towards the wall.
“Ethane you are losing your mind…you have to calm down” I was so scared.. he was becoming something else.
I looked into his eyes and I could no longer see the caring Ethane who would do everything for me…all I saw was an angry monster, ready to devour me.
“THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER TO MY QUESTION!!” Ethane roared and slammed his fist on the wall behind me. I saw as his blood gushed out and stained the wall…it made me feel so irritated and I could almost puke.
“Ethane you are going to hurt yourself seriously if you don’t stop right now…what is wrong with you? You are becoming a monster” I carried his hand in mine as I used my shirt to wipe his blood.
“You are turning me into a monster Mara” he declared and I was more shocked than ever.
“Yes you are the one who created this monster…you made me a beast because all I do is shower you with love and you only pay me with so much hatred” he was so devastated and I could see that he was trying his best to hold back his tears.
“I don’t hate you Ethane” I shook my head nervously.
“Then what do you call this attitude of yours…is something wrong with me? Is there something I am not doing right?.. please tell me” he looked at me with teary eyes.
I couldn’t give him an answer…what was I going to tell him?
“Ethane…please stop.. I don’t want us to engage ourselves in any kind of argument now. If this is because of s*x then let’s do it now”
“It’s not about the s*x…it’s about you not understanding me and you not paying any attention to this relationship. Are we even in a relationship?” Ethane sounded so upset and fed up with the whole issue.
“Ethane!” I scolded him as I pointed my index finger at him.
“Mara!” He scolded me back
“Don’t push me to the wall,” I warned him.
” I shouldn’t push you to the wall but I’m already in contact with that same wall Mara and believe me I got hurt as I hit myself hard on the wall”
Ethane covered his eyes with his palm…I guess he was trying to hide his tears away from me as he turned away from me in an attempt to walk away.
“Are you leaving me?” I asked him.
“What’s left…you already left me a very long time ago” he angrily said.
“I never left you Ethane” I shook my head.
“THEN ANSWER MY F*CKING… DO YOU LOVE ME?” Ethane turned around and yelled.
