Still at Lakshmi’s house
Alyssa gave Scott a peck on the lips as he wrapped his hands around her waist and returned the kiss. He lifted her up and placed his hands firmly on her soft bums.
“Lakshmi” he stopped k*ss*ng Alyssa suddenly and dropped her on the floor carelessly.
“What was that for?” Alyssa scolded him.
“She is bleeding…is she alright?” He declared with wide opened eyes and Alyssa rolled her eyes.
“So what is our business if she is alive or not. You should be bothered about me and no one else…is that understood?” Alyssa ordered as her eyes turned bloodshot red and the more Scott looked into her eyes.. the more he fell into her trap.
He was completely under her spell and he would do anything she wanted and nothing more.
“Yes” he followed her like some kind of zombie.
“Now carry me to your room.. I came here for you…but unfortunately I met this dumb sister of yours” Alyssa became disappointed.
Scott did as she instructed him.. he lifted her and was heading for his room when Alyssa heard a car drive into the compound.
“Oh no…your parents are here. I cannot let them find us like this…I guess I have to help this sister of yours” Alyssa waved her hands in the air and Lakshmi was back to normal again except she didn’t remember seeing Alyssa that day.
Scott made his way to his room as Alyssa had instructed. Lakshmi’s father had brought some hefty men to drag Scott to the mental hospital.
“Let him go!!” Lakshmi kept on trying to stop them as she climbed on them biting and hitting them on the head but they didn’t even budge.
“Dad!!… They are taking him away. Please stop them” Lakshmi was screaming and crying and making a lot of noise.
She ran towards her dad pulling his shirt and dragging him but all her efforts went to waste. There was really no use acting up because her father had already made his decision.
The next school day
At Mia’s school
“You just needed to see the way those heartless men dragged my brother away…and…and…and my father just stood there watching them” Lakshmi was crying her eyes out at the lunch table.
“Crying won’t solve anything. It would only make the issue alot worse” Mia focused her blue eyes on a group of students gossiping behind Lakshmi…though they weren’t gossiping about her.
“Maybe it’s good they took your brother away” Mia suddenly took Lakshmi’s palms in hers. She looked at her palm and slowly began to draw circles on them.
“What are you doing Mia?” Lakshmi giggled in between her cries as Mia was tickling her.
Although it made Lakshmi smile, that wasn’t Mia’s purpose of rubbing her fingers on Lakshmi’s palm. It was more than that.
“Can you close your eyes?” Mia asked her with a faint smile on her face.
“Yes…okay” Lakshmi didn’t want to argue. And since she was giggling, her senses were slowly returning to her.
Lakshmi let out a deep breath as she closed her eyes very tightly.
“You are never going to find peace” she heard Alyssa’s voice in her head. Everything that happened the previous day began to play in her head.
“I remember” she freed herself from Mia’s grip.
“Yes you do…it’s good Scott has gone off for now. He needs to be away from home.
I don’t think Alyssa would be able to find him wherever your dad is taking him…and if she does then it would be very difficult for her to manipulate your brother the way she is doing right now.
I believe that she is completely responsible for whatever is happening to him now” Mia spoke rather softly while she played with a pen and adjusted her glasses.
“So my brother is going to be under Alyssa’s spell? But for how long?” Lakshmi slapt her palm at her forehead.
She was disappointed and lost, she had mixed feelings but most of all she was sad and she felt helpless.
“Will my brother ever be okay?”
Lakshmi found herself asking Mia.
“I don’t know” Mia stood up from the chair and went to class without staring at Lakshmi again, she just left her there to sit all by herself.
“Awwwn…did she leave you?” Alyssa chuckled as she sat in front of Lakshmi where Mia was sitting before.
“Alyssa, haven’t you had enough. Why don’t you just want my family and I to have our peace. What have we ever done to you?” Lakshmi looked at Alyssa with so much hatred and disgust.
“Don’t look at me like that. I wasn’t after you in the first place. You decided to play the female heroine for your friend.
Since you have decided to play the heroine you will have to play it to the end” Alyssa smirked as she looked at Lakshmi with joy written all over her face.
” Honey there is no need for you to be upset…I have a solution for the both of us. After all where there is a will there is surely a way” Alyssa drew herself closer to Lakshmi.
“What do you want?” Lakshmi asked in a rather deep voice.
“I want your friend’s necklace. If you can get it for me then I will stop making your brother dance to my tunes.
I will remove my spell from him and you can have your boring family again” Alyssa was trying to strike a very dangerous deal with Lakshmi. She had really put Lakshmi in a very difficult position that made it almost impossible for her to say no.
“I WILL NEVER DO IT” Lakshmi angrily stood up and banged her hand on the table.
“There is no need for you to shout…you don’t want to draw attention to yourself do you?” Alyssa also stood up from the chair.
“Think about what I have said. From toying your brother around who knows??… I might decide to k*ll him and then I will come for your father and then your mother.
“If you wanted to…you could have k*lled him but I guess you are powerless when it comes to life and death” Lakshmi tried to sound bold.
I want that necklace…you must give it to me whether you like it or not” Alyssa lowered her eyebrows and stared at her in a frightful way before she walked away.
