At Lakshmi’s house
Lakshmi’s POV
“SCOTT!!!” I screamed at the top of my lungs as I touched my brothers body and it had become cold… I couldn’t feel him breathing and his heart had also stopped beating.
What has that witch done to my only brother.
“Scott…Scott…Scott please open your eyes. I swear I am no longer mad at you. If you want you can touch me, you can do anything you want but please open you eyes, please I want to hear you call out my name.
Don’t leave me Scott… if you die then what I’m I going to tell our parents?… what will happen to me then? Who is going to cook for me?.
Scott I know I got mad at you earlier but I am sorry.
Please forgive me and just open your eyes Scott” I cried out as my tears made his shirt wet I rested my face on his chest and his shirt was already soaked with tears.
One of the maids must have heard my voice as she entered my room which was open already.
“Ma’am” she looked at me with her eyes wide open. I am sure that she didn’t expect to enter the room and find me on the floor crying my eyes out while I rested my head on my brother’s chest.
I looked at her with so much anger and hatred. How dare she pretend as if she didn’t have a hand in this?.
“We’re you here last night?” I aksed her as I stood up from the floor and slowly approached her.
“Yes ma’am” she was shivering and her entire body was shaking.
“Okay” I gave her a faint smile as I patted her head and tactically made my way to the door, locking it from the inside so she couldn’t get out.
“You are also responsible for my brother’s death. You will also be punished” I dragged her hair and flinged her to one side of the room…she hit her head on the door and quickly stood up.
She tried to open the door but she was trapped already…there was no way out for her.
“Please ma’am just let me go. I don’t know what happened…your brother clearly asked to be left alone with that girl…I don’t know how he ended up in your room lying here like this” she was crying as she sat on the floor, pleading and begging for mercy.
Why didn’t she fight back? Why was she so much at my mercy,?. I threw my gaze away from her as I scoffed angrily and rubbed my forehead vigorously with my palm.
“Get out of this place. I don’t want to see you…I don’t want to see anybody!!” I yelled at her and she ran out of the room.
I locked the door and went closer to my brother, I couldn’t help but feel like everything was my fault. If I had just let him do what he wanted then he wouldn’t have been alone with Alyssa and all this wouldn’t have happened.
I don’t care whether he is dead or not… he is still my brother…no he isn’t dead… he is alife and I am going to stay with him.
I climbed on the bed and laid beside his cold body as I placed my hand around him and slept next to him.
I felt comfortable…I felt happy as I went into a deep sleep.
At Mia’s School
Alyssa sat on her chair as she couldn’t take her eyes off Mia.
She had begun to wonder why Lakshmi wasn’t in school … why did she have to leave her friend all alone but for some reason Mia didn’t look like she cared…she went through every class queitly.
Knowing how calm and composed Mia was at all times she decided to taunt her…just because she couldn’t kill her didn’t mean she couldn’t make her life a living hell.
“How are you doing Mia?” Alyssa whispered in her ears as she sat beside her.
“Go away” Mia gave a faint smile which rested at one side of her face and attempted to stand up but Alyssa held her hand and pulled her back…making her sit down against her will.
“Don’t try to act funny okay…I just want to have a friendly conversation with you…we can talk like classmates don’t you think?” Alyssa raised an eyebrow as she gave off a very suspicious smirk.
“What do you want?” Mia looked at her, she looked very scared and that gave Alyssa alot of joy, she felt like she was so powerful.
“Your necklace” Alyssa tried to bargain with Mia, at least while Mia wasn’t on her neck and making things difficult for her.
She knew Mia’s greatest strength was Lakshmi and since Lakshmi was absent, she felt she could take advantage of Mia.
“I can’t give you that” Mia tried to free herself from Alyssa’s grip but Alyssa was too strong for her.
“Mia don’t let her take advantage of you, show her who you are and let her know how powerful you have become” she heard her father’s deep voice whisper in her ear.
She tried to ignore that voice by covering her ear but the voice kept on getting louder and louder and echoed in her head.
Alyssa looked at her very confused, even Alyssa couldn’t understand what was going on with Mia.
Mia looked at Alyssa as she vibrated on her seat, she was sweating for no reason. The more she looked at Alyssa, the more her fear got intensified.
Alyssa could now clearly see the fear in Mia’s eyes and she also wanted to add fuel to the fire.
She made her eyes glow, her eyes were now bright green and that worked as Mia was now scared but suddenly Mia stood up from the chair and her nails were so long that she used it to scratch on Alyssa face earning a cry from Alyssa.
“Mia!!” Alyssa’s yelped in pain but Mia didn’t answer her as she just left the classroom in a haste.
For some reason no one in the classroom was paying attention to the insane scene that was going on either because Alyssa had cast a spell on them earlier or because they were too busy with their cell phones but either way they didn’t notice.
Alyssa who was so ashamed of the mark Mia had just given her that she covered her face with her handkerchief and went to rest her head on her desk.
