As night fell, Adjutant Xun and Farren Austin sat in the gazebo in the courtyard of the old Austin family home.
The evening breeze brushed by, interspersed with Adjutant Xun’s voice.
“Fei said, the wife to the Bright family before and after less than half an hour, before coming out the Bright family suddenly argued, inside all the chaos, said that the family wrestled together.”
“She was not hurt, right?”
“No, came out intact, Xiaofei said that the wife came out when she could be vigorous, with the victory, the Bright family side of the noise is too strong, Xiaofei left by hand to help them report to the police, the police should have arrived at this time.”
“Know the Bright family called her back what matter?”
“No need to ask the Bright family people can guess, Darold Bright recently had a batch of goods detained in the customs, quite tricky, the Darold Bright’s company caused a lot of damage, I asked the customs side, in fact, there is no big problem, it is his greed for fast procedures, there are procedures not done before shipping the goods. Sir, do you need to say hello to the other side?”
“No, if she needs help, she’ll come to me herself.”
“But looking at the wife’s attitude toward the Bright family, nine times out of ten, she won’t care.”
“She won’t care.”
At that, Adjutant Xun frowned, “Sir, do you feel that the wife is too desperate to do something, after all, that is her father, even if it is not good for her, really to force to the extreme is not good.”
“That girl grew up with a hard life, you do not know.”
As we were talking, the sound of an engine came from the garage in the front yard.
Adjutant Xun said sagely.
“It should be the wife coming back, then I’ll go first.”
Farren Austin nodded, drained his cup of tea, and sat down in the gazebo to enjoy the moon as if nothing had happened.
Amelia Bright came in after parking her car and met Adjutant Xun and greeted him very politely.
“The young master is waiting for you in the pavilion.”
“He’s waiting for me?” Amelia Bright looked in the direction of the gazebo and saw Farren Austin’s figure.
The sun was beating down in the west here?
She was in a good mood and walked towards the gazebo with her car keys, approaching carefully from behind Farren Austin, originally wanting to scare him, but just as she got close, she heard his voice speak.
“So late, where have you been?”
“You scared me,” Amelia Bright said, covering her chest and dropping her car keys to the ground in shock.
Farren Austin bent down and picked up the keys for her, “Where did you go?”
“Went back to my mother’s house.”
“What happened? Did something happen?”
“Why do you ask? Do I have to go to my mother’s house because something happened at home?”
“What else?”
“Nothing, I’m just going back to check.”
She never mentioned the Bright family’s request for her help, which Farren Austin had expected.
“What are you so happy to be here today, enjoying the moon?”
“Blowing off some steam, the air in the house isn’t very good.”
Farren Austin is not an interesting person, Amelia Bright however is more noisy, so it has been her to find all kinds of topics, the evening breeze inside the pavilion, indeed it is open and more comfortable than inside the house.
“How do you think one can live a lifetime and be considered not to have lived in vain?”
Farren Austin gave her a sideways glance and saw that she was looking up at the moon with her chin propped up, looking very much in a trance.
“I’m not ashamed of the sky, and I’m not submissive to others.”
“It’s very true,” Amelia Bright gave him a look, “but some people are born with a bad heart, not to mention ashamed of the sky and upright, it’s a very bad kind, they live a life what?”
Farren Austin did not answer, but the look in her eyes deepened a few points.
It seemed that this was not the first time he had heard from her about life and death. She used to talk in her sleep, often crying out in her dreams, calling out for her parents and sometimes shouting things like ‘I hate you’.
It sounded so dramatic that he didn’t take it seriously at first, but the dreams seemed to repeat themselves endlessly day and night for Amelia Bright.
Once she was crying so hard that he couldn’t stand it and gently patted her, she curled up in her arms like a kitten and refused to leave.
“Gu Gu Gu …”
A strange sound echoed in the gazebo.
Farren Austin looked at her in consternation.
“Ahem …” she coughed awkwardly, “It’s human nature, I didn’t have enough for dinner so I came back.”
It was long after the Austin family’s dinner time, and luckily the Austin family had a maid on duty at night, cooking chaos for Amelia Bright in the kitchen.
“Auntie, put a little more chili in it for me, I like spicy food.”
“Okay.”
Amelia Bright sat at the dining table and kept looking towards the kitchen, as if she couldn’t wait to eat it right away.
It took less than ten minutes for the maid to bring up a bowl of wontons.
“Thank you, Auntie.”
Amelia Bright is sweet-talking, she has only been back for a short time, and the maids all like her very much.
“You’re welcome, I’ll clean up after eating, I’ll go and get busy first, you and sir take an early rest, madam.”
“Hey, good.”
After saying that, Amelia Bright held the spoon and blew cool air into the wontons, sucking a mouthful down or being burned, constantly huffing and puffing, a small face turned red.
“Ha …”
She thought she heard wrong, looked up and saw Farren Austin sitting across from her smiling, and was a bit baffled.
She had hardly ever seen Farren Austin smile since she came to the Austin family, and that face had the same expression for a million years.
“What are you smiling at?” She blushed, “What’s so funny?”
Farren Austin pushed his wheelchair closer to the table, “Is it good?”
“Of course it’s delicious.”
Amelia Bright frowned and wrapped her bowl around her like a food guard, “I didn’t eat dinner, if you want to eat, have your aunt give you the next bowl, don’t worry about mine.”
“Did I say I’m going to eat yours?” Farren Austin was bewildered by her look.
Amelia Bright slowly relaxed her guard, spooned a spoonful and blew it cold, originally to her mouth, but saw Farren Austin kept staring at her, then hesitated for a moment and sent it to his mouth.
“Just one sip, no more.”
Farren Austin looked stunned, his gaze fell on the floating chili powder in the spoon, he actually ghosted to take a bite.
He looked up and saw the woman across the table looking at him with an expectant expression.
“Delicious, right?”
He frowned and said, quite frankly.
“It’s not good.”
“How can that be?”
Amelia Bright looked unbelieving and took a bite herself, “It’s obviously delicious, hey? Why are you blushing?”
Farren Austin blushed a little and said in a dumb voice.
“Go get me a glass of water.”
Amelia Bright froze for a moment, looking at him with tears coming out of his eyes, and suddenly came back to her senses, “You are not allowed to eat spicy food.”
She went to pour tea, watching Farren Austin two cups of ice water down, his face still did not improve at all, followed by the fire like red.
“You can’t eat spicy food, why are you staring at it?”
Amelia Bright was so anxious that she wandered around the room and finally found ice cubes from the refrigerator.
“You open your mouth.”
