Sofia’s pov
“Which would you recommend between the two?” I asked the pleasant looking attendant and she eagerly beamed at me before proceeding to explain the difference between the two similar products I currently had in my hands.
Once she was done speaking, I glanced from one product to the other before glancing back at her. “I guess I’ll settle on this one.” I said while dropping said product in my cart.
I had left home about two hours ago, and one thing led to the other before I decided to do a little shopping before heading home. Since Luca wouldn’t be home yet until night time, makes me not eager to rush home. The only one currently at home was Matilda, and as much as I loved her, I get easily bored after talking to her a little because there’s not much to talk about any longer.
My mind strayed towards Sarah and I felt my mood sour a little. With a small sigh, I promised myself to find the time to pay her a visit this weekend.
I shopped for a few more things, picking whatever caught my eyes without hesitation because I knew it wasn’t going to make a dent in the money in the black card.
My phone rang as I began to push my cart once again and I stopped to fish it out from my bag and check who the caller is. Surprisingly, it turned out to be Zander.
It’s been a few days since the housewarming gathering and after not hearing from him the next day, I had assumed he wasn’t ever going to reach out to me, so this call is definitely a shock to me.
I accepted the call and placed the phone against my ear, eyes settling on my cart as his voice flooded my ears.
“Sofia! It’s been ages.”
I breathed out a small chuckle with a shake of my head. “It’s been a few days.” I murmured and he laughed softly after that, reminding me of the childhood we once shared once again.
“It felt longer than that though.” He argued and I hummed as I reached for something that caught my eyes once again. I examined it once before dropping it into my cart and then I began to push it forward this time.
Zander continued to speak and he more he spoke, the more he reminded me of Armani. Speaking of Armani, he hadn’t really been home for the past few weeks, compared to how he used to be before, whereby he’d be all over me keeping me company as I painted. I have a huge feeling jt has something to do with this new person whom he likes now, and although I do not want to jump into conclusions yet, everything was pointing towards that hunch.
“Where do you suggest we meet up?” I asked Zander who suggested we meet up in order to hang out and properly catch up. We discussed some more before finally ending the call, and then I shoved the phone in my handbag and proceeded to walk forward, pushing the cart as I walked.
But that was until the unexpected happened.
From nowhere, a smack landed on my ass tore a terrified and startled gasp from my throat as I hastily whirled around to see a bunch of four guys who were guffawing their lungs off, like they had done something impossibly funny right now.
Meanwhile what they had done was to harass me sexually, and there was nothing funny about that.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I demanded angrily at who was definitely the culprit because he was the one gloating while his friends snickered on and on.
“You look so damn sexy in that pair of shorts, couldn’t resist. Bet you’d fold so well when getting fucked, tiny thing that you are.” As soon as he was done, his friends laughed on and on like the biggest joke in the universe has just been cracked.
Embarrassed color flooded my cheeks and I felt small and unseen in their midst. I knew they wouldn’t be saying these things right now if they knew who my husband was, and I considered calling Luca at this very moment but decided against it, because it would definitely not end well for these guys should I do that.
“Disgusting sick fuck.” I spat out but they were ready with another creepy response that made genuine fear grip me, especially when I glanced around and didn’t see any of my bodyguards in sight.
I ignored the group of guys and began to hastily walk forward, and when Ethan emerged a fleeting moment later, I informed him a quick rundown of what had just happened.
Ethan slammed the first guy he laid his hand on in one of the shelves of beauty products and the shelves crumbled at once, to my utmost shock.
The rest of the guys scattered in the opposite directions and Ethan forcefully swore as he hastily called Ryan and demanded he catch the rest of the guys who were unknowingly running in his direction.
I found myself wringing my hands while silently wondering why I didn’t keep it away from Ethan, because now they’re definitely going to make it into a really big deal than it actually is.
Once Ethan pocketed his phone once again, he reached down and hurled the guy whom he had managed to get real good, to his feet, and then he growled into his face.
“Do you have an idea of whom you and your dumb friends messed with? You’ve poked the wolf in the eye and you’re all definitely going to pay.”
“W- we… we don’t, I’m sorry, sir. Please let me go.” The guy spluttered desperately with so much horror painted on his face and I scoffed while wrapping my arms around myself and shifting my weight around, because a lot of people have now gathered, making me feel bare in a way.
When Ryan arrived, he walked towards me and tugged me into his arms at once.
