Sofia’s pov
The sudden urge to visit the beach once again has definitely got to because of my birthday which had happened a few weeks ago.
I never used to ever think about visiting the beach, having not been allowed to except on rare occasions while growing up, and on those rare occasions, I was hovered on throughout the entire time by my bodyguards.
I was currently seated in the hair salon, one of the biggest one here in Italy.
As soon as the stylists had recognized who I was, they treated me with utmost respect and all wanted to be friends with me at once, which I found extremely endearing.
I’m currently getting my hair done, getting it curled professionally this time, and so far, they’re doing a better job than I had done on my hair a couple of weeks ago.
“Do you care for a drink, ma’am? It’s on the house.” One of the stylists came forward and as she spoke, she shook the glass of wine a little.
I gave a polite shake of my head as I responded. “Aw, I really wish I could, but I’m going to have to pass. Thanks for offering!”
Luca had reminded me countless times to be careful of what I take in, because none could be a hundred percent sure of who’s working against who, and knowing how ruthless and brutal people could be having witnessed it a handful of times, I had taken that advice to heart at once.
I shook a quick text to Kayla, asking her if she’d like to accompany me to the beach this evening.
She responded almost immediately, informing me about having to be somewhere with her husband today, which automatically makes her unavailable.
I took a look in the mirror before me and grinned at how the curls gleamed and framed my face beautifully. I had no idea why I never wondered about how I’d look with curls while growing up with my naturally straight hair my entire life.
After about an hour, they were done with my hair and getting my nails done as well. I made the necessary payments and exited the salon while contemplating on if I’d still visit the beach today or if I’d cancel It.
I knew I could easily ask Luca to come with me, but I don’t want him cutting back his workload just to go to the beach with me, knowing damn well that he’d still come to me at night.
I contemplated asking Armani to get into the car, but I was quick to discard that thought as well because it suddenly dawned on me that he hadn’t been around home a lot for the past few weeks, now that I’m thinking about it.
That left me with Angelo, and I know he might be busy with other important things compared to taking a drive to the beach.
The car was pulling into the compound when it suddenly dawned on me that I could ask Hyacinth– Blair to come with me.
After that particular dinner which took place a week ago, Blair and I had exchanged contacts and we’ve been keeping in touch ever since. Luca had encouraged me to go ahead to develop something stronger with her after I recounted the particular scene of my teenage years when I had run into her.
I still had no idea why she wasn’t going by her real name any longer, but I knew it would be rude to ask. That didn’t stop me from still being extremely curious, especially because it had been in the news for over two years that she had died with her mother.
I sent her a text as the engine of the car was getting killed, and it was after I was done that it dawned on me that she might have other things to do, but I decided not to dwell on it too much since I had already sent the text.
And so, I exited the car, slanting Ryan a warm smile as I alighted the car before making my way into the house.
On getting into the bedroom, the first thing I did was FaceTime Luca. I knew he’d most likely be in some important meeting right now but I didn’t care, especially knowing fully well that he’d definitely answer it.
I was proven right as soon as he answered the call on the second ring, and from the looks of the background, I knew he’s currently in a meeting.
I pretended to be shocked, offering to end the call, but he refused vehemently and instead asked the meeting to be halted for a moment while he attended to something ‘important’, while I couldn’t stop feeling giddy, and then he proceeded to choke on his spit when I pulled down my shirt to reveal my tits to him before ending the call.

Blair did agree to come to the beach with me. She was even excited to come with me, which fueled my own eagerness perfectly.
We met up at the beach a couple of hours later, choosing to bring along some blankets. I decided to pack a basket of snacks along with me, and Blair and I didn’t hesitate to dissolve in giggles on realizing that we both thought about bringing along a basket of snacks and fruits.
We ended up eating from both baskets while losing ourselves to some many conversations at once. The conversation all merged into one another effortlessly, it wasn’t awkward or tense in any way, and I loved every second of it.
I wasn’t sure of when we got to conversing about the men in our lives right now, and it genuinely pleased me on listening to her talk about how she felt about James.
She revealed how they got to meet for the first time, and the entire scene was so James coded and ridiculous, it made me laugh so much till my stomach began to hurt.
By the time we both had to say goodbye, neither of us wanted to leave.
