Luca’s POV
I knotted my tie while throwing a quick glance at the wall clock was, we were already running late and the venue was at least a thirty minutes ride away.
“Bunny? Are you almost ready?” I called out as I picked up my guns and shoved them into their respectful positions on my body, as Sofia called out a response.
“Yeah… but, I can’t reach my zip, can you please come give me a hand?”
I made my way towards the dressing room and was speechless as I closed the distance between us to stop behind her. Feelimg floored concerning how perfect she looked, I pinched the zipper and carefully pulled it up.
The dress was silver in color, and the straps holding the gown up was tiny silver linings. It was long, although the slit at the left side of the dress was so high, it was directly under her bubble butt.
She turned around to glance up at me and I puffed out a deep breath as I cupped her cheeks in my hands.
“I guess you’re going to call me stunning right now?” She asked and I let out a thoughtful hum as I shook my head.
“Nope, not this time.” I responded and she giggled, sounding very melodious.
“Could have sworn that was what you were going to say, since that’s what you call me a lot these days.”
I glanced around for her shoes and when I spotted them, I went to pick them up, and then I crouched low before her and positioned one sandal before her.
“Although you look stunning as fuck right now,” I began to speak after glancing up at her for a moment.
“The first thing that popped into my head when I first saw you in this dress, was that you looked ethereal.” I murmured, and then I was helping her into the sandal and doing the buckle up.
“Oh.” She whispered as she held onto my shoulder firmly when I helped her with her second sandal as well.
“Yeah, really, really ethereal.” I murmured as I pushed myself up to my feet. I leaned down and pressed a kiss over the exposed curve of her shoulder.
“You look like an angel… like a really slutty one though, because this slit is really doing crazy things to me.” I finally continued as I took a couple of steps away from her, while shoving my hands into my pockets because it really is hard for me to keep my hands away from her.
“Now, hurry… we’re running late already.”

“Did you get a gift for the wedding celebrants?” Sofia asked and I hummed in response, thanks to James who always reminds me about stuff like this on a normal day, he’s the reason why I’d never forget to not get a present when going to a wedding.
“You said it was your cousin’s wedding, right?” Sofia asked after a few moments and I nodded my head in response.
“I had no idea you have more cousins.”
“This is like a really distant cousin, but we’re all still blood related which technically makes us cousins.
When I had received the invitation later, I had been hesitant about attending, but James had suggested I attend it, since it was taking place here in New York and I was here right now, and I decided to go, seeing as he also attended my wedding.
The groom’s father was the reason as to why I was here, he had reached out to me a couple of times some years ago whenever he needed help, and vise versa for him when I needed some links and connections here in net York.
We arrived at the venue in no time and the wedding was thankfully starting when we walked into the hall. There were a lot of paparazzi around and I was sure we were definitely going to be on the front of the papers tomorrow.
I recognized a few people in the crowd and I spotted the groom’s family at the front of the church. The crowd was large, but definitely not as large as mine during my wedding with Sofia.
I sank into my seat along with Sofia and instantly began to will the time away, I didn’t want to be here in the first place, what I actually wanted to do was to spend the night alone with Sofia, or to take her out on a date here in New York like I’ve been planning for a couple of days.
In no time, it was time for the couple to exchange rings, which means we were almost coming to the end of the wedding.
“Is there anyone here that would like to object to the joining of this man and wife here?” The priest paused and glanced around like they all normally do, even though they knew no one was ever going to object to a wedding like this.
“If there is, the person should object right now or forever hold their peace.” The priest paused again for a few seconds that had me rolling my eyes.
Just when the priest had began to pronounce the bride and groom husband and wife – a low hum went up all the way from the back of the church that had me turning around, to notice a man standing with his hand raised up.
“I object to this wedding– because the bride here just broke up last night and is pregnant with my child.” The man said in a loud voice, and the whole crowd scattered in the blink of an eye.
It got worse when the bride began to shrike and deny knowing who the man that had spoke was, while at the same time, the man who had objected to the wedding, kept proclaiming his love for the bride and how he doesn’t want another man to bring his child up for him when he was still alive.
No one understood what was happening, at least I didn’t, along with Sofia who was staring at the whole thing unfolding before her eyes with wide eyes.
It was like that drama had been planned on purpose to distract the crowd, because before anything could happen next, the sound of a loud gunshot made the whole crowd shriek in horror, and that was when all hell broke lose.
