Sofia’s POV
I sat down beside Luca because I wanted to be close to him and I was glad he wanted that as well, seeing as he was the one that pulled the seat out for me before sliding in the one exactly beside me. Kayla chose to sit beside me with her husband sitting beside her on her other side, and James, the only one who didn’t come here with a date, chose to sit opposite us. We ordered wine and I was pleased when Luca ordered a particular brand which I had just discovered that I like, as expected there was little to no alcohol in it but I was alright with it, because I wasn’t ever looking forward to getting drunk just because I wanted to drink some wine.
Kayla got curious and decided to share the bottle of wine with me, and she surprisingly fell in love with it. I wasn’t expecting her to love it because I used to feel like she was someone who’d be more into drinks with lots of alcohol in it, and not this particular wine which was more fruit than alcohol. The men all ordered something that looked like scotch or whiskey and they all shared it together. I exchanged a few words with Kayla as I slowly sipped my drink, but a part of me was relaxed and laid lax, because I wanted to be able to also listen in on whatever it was that the guys were talking about. Sadly, they didn’t talk about interesting things and most of what they kept discussing about was work and money related and after a little while, I decided to tune than out because of the way Kayla was also speaking to me at the same time and it had started to sound like what she was talking about was starting to get interesting.
“Huh?” I asked in a low voice as I leaned into her side of my chair in order to meet her halfway. She repeated herself this time and I breathed out a small laugh at what she had said once again. We continued to talk after that and one thing led to another, and we both kept downing glasses of wine as we spoke to each other.
My insides felt like it was floating on a still water bed in the middle of the night, and it seemed like my mind was getting a little bit clouded a little. I knew that there was no way it could be that I was getting drunk because I didn’t even drink a thing other than this fruity wine, so I guess it was just some edophines that was making it feel like I was floating.
I puffed out a deep breath as I swallowed down the last drop of my wine for my glass before placing it on the spot on the table before me, and then I leaned into Kayla once again.
“Do you know who owns this hotel?” I asked Kayla and watched as she blinked once before tilting her head to the side a little, as her finger lightly tapped against the side of her glass, creating a little tapping sounds that was neither loud or low, thanks to her long nails.
“It’s your husband’s, isn’t it? Travis said we were having a dinner with you guys tonight and that it was going to be taking place on Luca’s hotel, so I figure thid is his? Unless if you guys changed your mind at the last moment and decided not to have the dinner at his hotel anymore…” She trailed off along the way and gave a small shrug of her shoulders, then lifted up her wine glass to take another long sip from it.
I was a bit glad that she didn’t know that Luca was the owner of the hotel, because sometimes, it seemed like Kayla knew a lot more about my husband compared to me, the ones that married to him, so this particular thing made me feel a little bit better.
“He’s the owner.” I said to her on a small sigh and watched as she huffed out a small cute sound. “See? I knew it.” She responded and I rolled my eyes instantly.
“I didn’t ever disagree with you.” I pointed out to her and watched as she sipped from her glass of wine once again, making me lick my own lips as my eyes darted towards the wine glass once again. I’ve had over three glasses already and I knew I couldn’t have anymore, at least right now when we still haven’t started to eat dinner yet. The glass of wine was between Kayla and I but I was a lot sure Luca was watching everything I did, and that he wouldn’t be happy with the fact that I was going against his orders.
He had warned me severely that I shouldn’t ever dare to take more than three gkass of wine whenever we’re out for dinner. He was trying to kill my obsession with the drink and he had come up with a way to discipline me in his own way.
He spanks me.
Sometimes I ask myself if the said punishments I get are indeed a punishment or a means to get more adventurous in the bedroom, because sometimes, it always feels more pleasurable than disciplinary.
I eyed the glass of wine once again, sliding my tongue over my lower lips to get a taste of the wine once afsin.
“Guess what.” I whispered to Kayla as I leaned into her. She moved her lips from side to side before whispering out what I had requested for her, without bothering to even try guessing, like I honestly knew she was going to.
“Luca gave me this hotel.” I said to her and watched as she wheezed and started to choke. I slapped my hand over my mouth and stared wide eyed at her, taking her glass of drink out of her hand and cradling it in mine, as Travis saw to his wife, rubbing and pounding in her back until the whole fit finally created.
“What happened, baby?” Travis whispered to his wife as he stroked her hair and I watched as she started to shake her head like I had hoped she would.
“It’s nothing, I just got carried away.” She said to him as she slowly sipped on a bottle of water. Travis leaned forward and kissed the side of her head, making James gag a little in a way that made her snort at him while I breathed out a little laugh.
I felt Luca’s hand at my waist and I slowly turned my head around until I was staring at him, and our eyes locked instantly. I puffed out a small breath as soon as I noticed how his eyes dropped on my lips in the next second.
“You want another glass of wine, don’t you?” He drawled out just as he tightened his hold on my waist and I bit on my lower lip and shook my head instantly, staring wide eyed at him.
“That’s a good girl.” He murmured before nodding his head a little, “You can go ahead and continue to talk to your friend.” He continued and I gave a small nod of my head before turning back around until I was once again staring at Kayla, who was already waiting for me seeing as she’s currently leaning into my side of the chair.
“Bitch, were you kidding?” She whispered and I shook my head slowly, with a small and bashful looking smile. Her eyes grew wide in the next second.
“That’s a whole lot, oh my gosh I’m so happy for you.” She breathed out and I only smiled as I watch her fawn and and gasp as quietly as she could.
“It’s an early birthday present.” I said to her at the last moment and I faintly heard her groan a little in excitement.
“Really? Wow. That’s so freaking generous of him.” She stated and I couldn’t agree more with that and so I only nodded my head in response to what she had said.
Some time later, food got ordered and everyone dug in. Some time into the food and that was me all men finally stopped talking to themselves, and when James finally had my time. We talked a lot and after a little while, I was pretty much convinced that I liked his energy and vibe which was floating around him.
Of all three men, he was the only one whose energy was really shared and also the coolest. Everything about him screams relaxed and nonchalant and cool, but then it also screams dangerous. I’ve known not to trust any cool and calm looking man, because there’s most definitely going to be a fierce being underneath that surface.
Although, Luca was an exemption. I haven’t actually seen him fight before, but I’ve seen him give orders and radiate so much power and energy in the midst of other men and it was also so damn hot to me.
