Luca’s POV
I glanced sideways, my eyes landing on the group of guards who were all currently staring at me and I watched with an unreadable expression on my face as they all averted their gazes away from mine immediately, like they hadn’t been watching all that had went down between the dude and I.
“You know, you always seem like a complete different person each time you get into this kind of mood.” James started to muse audibly, although his voice wasn’t as loud as it used to be on a normal day, and I knew it was because he wanted those words tone for my ears alone, and not for the guard’s.
“Oh yeah?” I drawled out, raising my brows at him as soon as I finally settled my gaze on his face. He nodded his head once moving a few steps forward unt he had almost closed the space between us.
“Yes, you always seem like a completely different person. Smoothly moving from the calm, quiet, cold and collected Luca into an extremely cold, fierce and dangerous Luca which screams evil and so much fire all at once.” James explained slowly, his low voice drifting into my ears slowly and calmly and I absorbed the whole thing he had said, turning the words and things he had said around in my head.
“I wouldn’t really say I am like a completely different person whenever I get that way, because it’s still inside me, you know. It’s still in me, it’s a part of me– I guess I had just learned to shield both sides of me from each other, that way I can easily slip into any part I want without any hitch.” I explained to him, picking my words and breathing them out as soon as they popped into my head, my eyes darting towards the front of the house every no and then on the complete lookout for the two set of stupid boys.
“I’d say something almost similar to that happens to me, although mine can be a little intense…” James slowly trailed off, leaving his sentence to tangle in the air and I glanced at him immediately, raising my brows at him immediately and he rolled his eyes at me, the moment his eyes locked with mine and I didn’t miss the quiet snort that slipped out his nose as well.
“Well, alright. Maybe a lot intense, instead of a little intense, because I feel that I get wey too lost in those particular moods, that it gets into my head to much, and most times than few, results in me losing control of myself.” He started to explain after a few moments and I nodded my head once, lifting my gaze and dragging it towards the front of the house, my hands moving towards the guns on both sides of my pants and ensuring that they were in a position that would be really easier for me to pull it out a start firing shots immediately – just incase that dude dares go against my plan and put me to his bosses, or if something goes wrong and his bosses finds out about us by some other reason which didn’t involve him opening his own mouth.
“It’s alright, it is alright.” I started to say with a small move of my shoulders, glancing behind me to check if the guards were watching James and I speaking quietly between each other, or if they were watching the house like they were supposed to.
They were all watching the house, their gazes sharp and intense – although one of two out of the bunch had been watching James and I, and I slowly takes as I watched as they quickly turned their heads around until they were staring at the front of the house they way they were supposed to be doing, instead of staring at me like they could even make out a thing that I was saying with my head turned the complete opposite direction.
“You two, go around the corner of the house and be as subtle as you can. Try to see if you can pick out anything fishy or slightly suspicious.” I said to the first two guards and they nodded their heads at me before moving into action immediately, their legs barely making sounds on the ground as the both tooo different corners of the house, disappearing out of sight in the next second.
“It’s past five minutes already, I think that dude outed our plans to his stupor bosses.” James growled beside me and I chucked quietly, shaking my head from side to side.
“Those small boys are honestly nothing to worry about,” I started to say to James immediately. “I’ve met them before, remember? I had an encounter with them before, and from what I saw last time, I am more sure they’re going to be extremely scared of me even more.”
“Yeah, I remember you saying this. I’m just pissed that I haven’t started beating some ass up at the moment.” James replied to me instantly and I breathed out a small snort, my head darting towards the front of the house once again, like I had been doing ever since the dude disappeared towards the side of the house– the same corner which my boys had gone into, a couple of minutes ago.
The door of the house started to pull open and I snapped my gaze towards the front of the house immediately, my eyes narrowing and my whole body going stiff as I strained my ears furthermore, ignoring the feeling of James lightly nudging the side of my shoulder with his suit clad ones.
The door started to get pushed open and I watched as the second boy whom I remembered to be Ivan’s cousin pushed his head out of the door and glanced from side to side before his gaze suddenly landed on the group of people standing some feet away from the black gate of his house. I watched as his eyes widened and his mouth got parted soundlessly, and as soon as his eyes locked with mine– he ducked his head immediately and was about to pull into the house and slam the door shut, but Ivan who was completely oblivious, pushed him out of the way in order to make his way out of the house, and both men were standing out of tne house at the moment, but Ivan was still in the dark about what was waiting in store for him, behind him.
I watched as Ivan who was currently slowly puffing his smoke out of a rolled up marijuana slowly noticed the dreaded look on his cousin’s face– because one moment, he was staring into his cousin’s face with his burning stick loosely held by his index and middle finger as he placed his hand on his cousin’s sounder to ask him what was wrong, and in the next moment, he was whirling his head around to glance behind him and I noticed the exact moment in which the whole color drained out of his face as realization started to dawn into his brains one moment after the other.
He threw his smoke down and punched the air, stretching his hand down his face and tugging on his hair as he cried out in a voice that wobbled a little, “Not again!”
“Not fucking again.” He repeated almost immediately and I knew he was doing all these in order to try to compose himself and get a grip on what was currently happening around him at the moment, seeing as he obviously wasn’t expecting what he had seen after he completely turned around.
He was probably trying to plan quick, trying to quickly think of a way in which he could use to have an upper hand on what he was currently being faced with, and by the groin which he let out after a few seconds, I knew he had already figured out and come to the conclusion himself that there was completely nothing he could do at this very moment.
“Enough of the whole dramatic display of emotions, Ivan.” I started to say after a few moments and I didn’t miss the way Ivan’s face morphed into a frown, and how his cousin trembled in fear at the same time.
“Step off the patio and get your asses here right this moment, you lots are in a lot of mess.” I started to say once again and Ivan groaned loudly as he hesitated while his cousin instantly did as he was told, moving off the patio in the blink of an eye and walking towards me like I had ordered as fast as he could, a tremble currently wrecking him as he stood before me, a couple of large space of feet separating us.
“Would you like me to come get you, Ivan? Because I assure you that I am going to pull the fucking trigger right into your face if I have to come fetch you myself, and then I am going to drag you over here by your feet, ever though you’re bleeding out of you fucking forehead.”
