“Are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital, Haw? You look pale and look not ok.” Cooper asks Lileth.
“I am ok, Mint, I’ve been feeling pretty bad for a few days now. But Dustine taking care of me.” Cooper looks at me and I give him a smile. Cooper calls her Haw because Lileth loves haw candy while Cooper loves menthol. They have a call sign that is related to their favorite. They got that plan from Dylan because Dylan was like that when he was a teenager.
I had already told Cooper that Lileth was sick but he still visited. He is leaving this week and he wants to see Lileth before returning to Canada. I am seated beside Lileth while holding her hands. Wrapped tightly in clothing and also in blankets.
“Does this friend of mine take care of you, Haw?” Cooper asked with a laugh.
“Yeah, Mint. As in, I have nothing to say about my husband taking care of me.” Lileth smiled at me so I tightened my grip on her hand to show Cooper that we were ok. “Thank you, sweetheart, I love you,” she said and instead of answering her, I kiss her forehead.
“Wow, that’s what I want from you, Dave, quiet but sweet. Not showy but deep inside lovable.” And he looks at Lileth. “Just tell me if this idiot is fighting you, huh? I am one of your backups.”
“You don’t have to worry, Mint, my husband and I are ok and I know he won’t hurt me and leave me,”
“I know, I know how much this’ crazy ‘ love you.” They keep on talking about random things. Lileth keeps on listening to him. Cooper talks a lot to Lileth. About his travel, business, and such. While Lileth doesn’t have much to tell because apart from the fact that we don’t do much and she’s just here at home so the things she tells are her dishes.
“Ow, that’s why this one is getting fat?” Cooper laugh and give me a peace sign. “Just kidding.” Again they keep on talking. Lileth happily smiles at Cooper. Until Cooper’s cellphone rang like an alarm.
“Are you leaving?” Lilith asks when she sees Cooper looking at the cellphone. We all know that Cooper has always had time for everything.
“I don’t want to, but I have dinner with, Dane, Haw.”
“What’s the real score, Mint?” Cooper smiled sadly.
“We’re friends, that’s important.” No one talk until Cooper stood up. “I need to go, I’m happy to see you ok, Haw, and Dave took care of you.”
“Thanks, Mint.” Cooper kisses him on the cheeks and they hug.
“I’ll bring him outside,” I said goodbye, though, I don’t really care about her opinion but I have to show it because of Cooper. She nods and doesn’t seem to want to let go of her hand.
“I will miss you, Mint.”
“Me too, Haw.” Then they separated and we went out together. I took him to where his car was parked. Opening he did not immediately enter and he just stood first and then looked at the whole house.
“Problem?” I ask.
“No, I’m just a little jealous of you because your dream has come true. Marrying the woman you love and living with her in one house. Let her carry your name and soon build a family. I wish the same as well, with Dane.” I just smiled at him because he was in his dream.
She has been telling me for a long time that her dream is to start a family with Dane. He was glad to see Dane pretending to sign with his last name. There was this one time that Dane called him hubby and he did nothing but smile.
I remember how he had already planned their future. His dream home, how many children he wants. What he should do for Dane. Where they vacation annually and where they go first. He already plans everything.
Well, not too late. As long as Dane isn’t tied to Wallace, there’s still a chance. Then it seems that the two are getting confused because I heard that they don’t spend much time together anymore. So, I am hoping that Dane and Cooper will get back together.
“If you ask me I prefer you for Dane, Cooper. But the heart is not forced. As far as I can see Dane’s love for Wallace is deep. Sorry to brag this but my sister wasn’t a fool then, he’s just a fool now because of that man. That won’t allow for such a set-up with that idiot if she did not love him.”
“I know,”
“But they seem to be confused based on what I heard, so you already had a chance.”
“If my job was not important, I would not continue to go. Now that the two have misunderstood I have a chance, I can be close to Dane again. But the company really needs me.”
“Then, keep in touch with her.”
“Yeah, I will. So you take care of Lileth because you are lucky and you already have the one you love. So take care of her, ok?” He tapped my shoulder and I touched his hand.
“I am, I will.”
“Good, because I’ll take her from you,” he joked and I just smiled. “Need to go, man.” I hug him and he hugs me back and taps each other’s back.
When Cooper left I went back inside and went straight to the room to go back to Lileth. Take care? Take care of my ass. If I could just kill I would have done it. I hope I don’t marry her.
I slammed the door shut as I entered the room. I saw her in the bed wrapped up and shaking hard. Can I turn up the aircon to make it even cooler? And because of that, I thought I simply picked up the aircon remote.
“You can be a good actor. You convinced Cooper with your acting. Well, me also, you convinced me that you’re good.”
“Dustine, please. Can it be just one day, one day, Dust, don’t fight me. Even now.”
“Hmp, it can depend if you open your legs and make me cum.” She was just shaking because of what I said so I sat down next to her. “Why, who do you like? Is it Cooper? “He’s a man with honor.” I frowned at what he said.

“I know you used to give me abortion pills, but because I love you I let you,” I smirked and then showed her that I turned on the aircon. So, she knew that I was killing her child but she didn’t say a word.
“Who is that man?”
“He was a man of determination and he would rather die than hurt others and himself. If I didn’t introduce him to you, it’s because I don’t want you to criticize him and make him look down on himself when he finds out what he really did to me.”
“I don’t get it.”
“When you find out who he is, you two will feel no difference.”
“And you protected him?”
“Yes, and I’m protecting you both.”
“Why?”
“Because I love you both.” My anger intensified because of what she said and in a flash, a loud slap hit on her face which caused her to lose consciousness. And when she completely lost consciousness I undressed her and removed the blanket so she will soak in the cold.
