By the time Macy and Richard were pulling to the driveway towards the main house, Asher had already done his part and returned to his mansion just next to Richard’s.
Asher had been an avid supporter of his elder brother since they were young and he was always behind Richard in everything he did.
He knew how cold his brother was and when Richard clocked twenty five and there was no sign of a girl or any marriage looming in the corner, his parents decided to take matters in their own hands.
They thus used the person nearest to him and whom he trusted: Asher.
At first, Ash was against it. He could not bring himself to betray his brother. The person who trusted him.
But his father threatened with taking him to Mississippi or Louisiana to study there.
Ash didn’t want to leave home and so, he took his father’s deal.
He one day took Richard for dinner as they usually did and as their father had commanded, he put and aphrodisiac in Richard’s drink.
They had already prepared a girl from one of the wealthy families of DC whom Richard would sleep with and the girl was just too glad to agree because she had hit the jackpot.
But they had underestimated this man.
He realized what they were up to and despite the fact that he had been dragged, he was able to leave the hotel where he and Asher were dining and drive to his suite at Grand Hotel.
He went to his suite and since he just wanted to take a very cold bath and relieve himself, he didn’t remember to lock the door in his hurry.
He went straight to the bathroom and took a cold bath.
When he finished, he walked to the bedroom and started looking for something to wear and he was all naked because he was alone.
But as he was standing there feeling all hot and wishing it away, he was startled when he heard someone open the door.
He grabbed a towel and went to the living room where he was met by a beautiful black young girl with long black flowing hair.
She liked like she was half white and black due it her hair but he didn’t look at her face since he hadn’t switched on the main ligh just s table reading light.
“Who are you and what are you doing here?” Richard asked angry that his time was being interrupted.
The girl mumbled something and fell on the floor.
“Hot. Please help. Me.” She said and Richard realized then that she was in the same predicament he was in.
She had been drugged.
He held her to make her sit on the couch and she clang to him.
His body’s temperature rose rapidly and his little brother rose to attention at her smell.
She smelt so feminine and beautiful.
She raised her face and claimed his lips.
He just stood there surprised but the heat was too much for him.
Before he knew it, he and the girl were rolling on the sheets and she was gone by the time he woke up the following morning.
He thus wasn’t able to know who she was and he let it go because even after looking at the CCTV cameras, her face was blurred and there was no need of looking for her anyway because hs didn’t look for him either.
Anyway, Asher knew all this because he was the one who was helping Richard look for the girl and he blamed himself for everything.
He had to bootlick Richard for a long time to receive his forgiveness.
After that, Richard avoided women like a plague.
Thus, seeing this same man being interested in Asher and being all confused about it was like a breath of fresh air for Asher.
Since Richard had shown signs of wanting to be with Macy, Asher wanted to be their adhesive and make sure that they stayed together.
But he wasn’t sure how his parents would take it seeing that they were traditional Caucasians whose family had migrated from Scotland in the nineteen hundred and Macy was a mixture of a Chinese woman and a black man.
Anyway, they would close that bridge when they came to it because he had never seen his parents be racist at all.
As Asher was remembering all this, he was at his window checking his brother’s house to see whether and when they would come back.
He had already brought everyone there Mel didn’t even know that she would wake up not where she fell asleep.
As he was watching, he saw his brother’s sleek car pull in and out came Macy and Richard.
Macy made as if to walk towards the boot of the car but his brother said something to her and led her to the house.
A man came out running and Richard directed him to the car.
Macy and Richard went inside the house and although it was early in the morning, Richard wanted to give her a tour of the house.
It wasn’t as big as the one in the main house but it was comfy.
They started with the first or ground floor where she was shown the workers rooms, the kitchen and the pantry, the game room with a big TV set that doubled as the cinema, the gold course, though it wasn’t a standard field, the swimming pool, the basketball court and the play ground for Mel.
Macy could tell that the play ground had been added recently because everything looked new.
After the tour of the grounds, they went upstairs.
There, she was shown Mel’s room, Richard’s room and the guest room which would be hers and her two suitcases had already been brought up.
“You can rest for a whole and fresh air up before Mel wakes up,” Richard said and left Macy in her room.
As she bent to open her bags and take her clothes out, the door was opened and Richard stuck his head in.
“If you need anything, feel free to ask me and don’t bother with that, the maids will do it for you,” he said and closed the door and then left.
Macy hadn’t slept at all that night and she wanted to catch some sleep before Mel woke up because she knew that she won’t rest after that.
She thus took a quick shower and headed to bed and sleep came quickly.
Me woke up and realized that this was a room she hadn’t seen and like her father had told her, you don’t scream when you found yourself in a strange place.
You calmed yourself down and then walked slowly and stealthily and try to investigate where you were.
That’s what she did.
She tiptoed to the door and opened it slowly and peeped outside.
She didn’t see anyone and she closed it slowly and started walking very very slowly barefoot hoping that she hasn’t been kidnapped by her evil mother again.
She saw the stairs and took them when she felt the front door open and the person came in before she could hide.
“Baby, you are awake,” Asher said with a smile as he walked towards her and picked her up.
“Uncle, what is this place?” She asked now relaxed.
“Oh, sorry. We came at night and your little head was so sleepy that you didn’t wake up even when I carried you out of bed into the car.
This will be your new home and guess who will be living with you?” Asher asked the little girl with an air of mystery around him.
“Auntie Macy?” Mel asked excited ad Asher placed her on the ground to wear her house slippers.
“Ah, you aren’t fun to tease.
Yes, your aunt Macy would be living with you here,” Asher said as she led her to the bathroom.
“Let’s freshen up for breakfast,” he said as he handed her her small toothbrush as squeezed some toothpaste for her.
“Remember, don’t swallow the…”
“I know how to brush my teeth uncle. Where is auntie Macy now?” Mel said and Asher held his side of the chest where the heart is dramatically.
“Ouch! That hurts,” he said and made as if to cry.
“Uncle, if you behave like this, you will never get a girl to love you,” Macy said with toothpaste in her mouth and Asher looked at her for a moment.
“And tell me granny, what do you know about love?” He asked.
“Oh, a lot. For example, I know that my mom doesn’t love dad and my dad doesn’t love her anymore now and he wants auntie Macy.
I also want auntie Macy for him but he is so slow.
Of I don’t help him, he will die single and I don’t want to leave him all alone when I grow up,” she said leaving her uncle speechless.
“How do you so much?” He asked her helping her wipe her mouth.
“I read a lot and watch TV. Or did you think I only watch cartoons?
I am a big girl. Six years old. I watch documentaries and educative programmes and I googled about falling in love,” she said and Asher shook his head wishing that Richard knew he had a sixty year old woman for a child.
“You are in the wrong body,” he told her.
“No. I love being a girl,” she said as she skipped ahead of him.
