No one dared to speak out. They froze where they stood, staring at the person lying on the bed with a look of horror.
“F-Flynt?” Dean voice cracked on silence.
Park turned and walked out of the room. He picked up his cell phone and called Grant. “Bro, what are we afraid to happen.”
“Park? What’s the matter? Is this about Flynt? How is he?” asked Grant quickly.
“He just woke up, Grant, but he doesn’t remember any of us, not even Dean.”
“Damn” Grant cursed. “Wait for me, i’ll go there.”
Flyn let go of Dean’s hand which was still in his grip and closed his eyes. “You guys are too loud and it disturbs my sleep. Doesn’t this hospital have any restrictions on visitors?”
Dean slowly touch Flynts hand. “Flynt? Do you know  me? Them?”
Flynt looking at Dean and shakes his head. “Do i have to know you?”
Tear lingering on Dean’ cheek. Kay sobbing in Mike’s embace. “Why?” He whispered on Mike’s chest.
“We have to call a doctor,” said Tom. He came out of the room and looked for the nurse on duty.
Everyone gathered in the room when a team of doctors, under the leadership of Pete’s father, examined Flynt who looked upset. Trent, Grant, and Will stood near Flynt. They didn’t tell their father and mother before knowing Flynt’s true condition.
“What I fear happened too,” said Doctor Moreni to the three brothers in front of him. “He’s got amnesia. His physical condition is improving, he’s strong and tough as a bear, but for his memory, we’ll have to wait.”
“We’d better keep on guard. Arrange for two people every day to keep him in the room. Not too much because Flynt looks uncomfortable with many strangers around him,” added doctor Intochar.
“So, your name is Dean? And you said, we are close friends? Wow! Seeing you, I don’t mind being more than just friends with you. You look handsome, cute, and pretty too,” said Flynt, staring at Dean carefully. “You are … Adorable. Georgeus.”
Dean is crying. Peter and Kay led him out of the room. Flynt looks confused. He saw Lama and Tom who were standing at the end of his bed. “Why is he crying like that? And who are you really? Why are so many people gathered here?”
Lamar patted Flynt’s leg softly and smiled. “We’re your friends and people who care about you. Come back soon, Prince, we miss you. The new semester is about to start and the freshmen need their handsome head hazer to attend.”
The following days, Dean never left Flynt’s side. He refused to go home, because he didn’t want to leave Flynt. Grant and Will made sure that every day someone was in the room besides Dean. Peter, Kay, and Mike take turns looking after Dean, making sure he keeps eating well and bringing new clothes and personal items to the hospital.
The last report from the police and Joaqin’s men, Gray just disappeared, as did Flower and some of his trusted people. This makes Joaqin nervous because he worries that he will come back sometime and manipulate the amnesiac Flynt.
It was the ninth day when Dean started feeling unwell. He felt dizzy and had a fever. Peter and Wyland brought their dinner and stayed for a while to accompany Dean. Wyland couldn’t stop crying when Flynt teased him. Tonight Dean is accompanied by Dazzen – an economics student and Nadia – an art student, Maxine and Tom’s men.
“Dean, can I and Nadia go out for a moment to meet Maxine at the base? We have something to take. Peter and Wyland are still here, right?” Asked Dazzen to Dean and Peter.
“Go. We will accompany Dean. Besides, there are police guarding them outside,” said Peter.
Dean nodded. “Don’t worry about me and just go straight to go home, bro.”
“Babe, I have to go home,” whispered Wyland to Peter, after a while. He showed his phone which had been ringing. “My uncle passed away, this afternoon. Father asked everyone to gather to pay their last respects. How about this?”
Dean tapped Peter on the knee who looked confused. “Hey, go and take Wyland home. You can’t worry your father-in-law. I’m fine. There are police outside, so i will be fine”
Dean turned off the large light in the middle of the room after Peter and Wyland came out. The policeman on guard outside looked in and made sure everyone was safe, telling Dean they would guard from outside. Flynt slept since Peter and Wyland were still there. He only teased Wyland briefly then returned to his usual coldness.
Dean lay his head beside Flynt’s hand on the bed. He was tired and felt dizzy. Dean just closed his eyes when he felt Flynt’s hand shifted and rubbed his head gently. He wanted to raise his head to look at Flynt, but the hand held his head in its original position.
“You have a fever, Dean,” muttered Flynt. “Why don’t you go home and rest in your own house instead of here? You don’t have to look after me all the time.”
“I’m fine and I’ll be here to look after you, even if you kick me out because you’re tired of seeing me,” Dean said softly. “I want to be the first person you remember when your memories return.”
“Get up here and sleep,” Flynt sighed. “This bed is big and you are slim. I don’t mind sharing it with my best friend.”
Dean hesitated for a moment, but Flynt’s hand on his forehead felt pleasant. He stood up and stepped to the side of Flynt’s bed. He slipped under Flynt’s blanket and lay on his side with his back to Flynt, so as not to be too narrow. Dean’s tears flowed when he smelled Flynt’s scent that he missed so much, felt so close but could not be reached.
Dean’s heart feels so heavy. He wants to hugs and kisses Flynt, but he is afraid, Flynt will pushes him. He miss the man behind him so much.
Flynt touched Dean’s back and rubbed him up and down gently. “Why are you crying? Do you need a doctor?”
“No. I’m fine. You go to sleep, Flynt. I’ll just lie down for a while until Peter or anybody else come.”
Flynt reached out and turned around Dean’s trembling body. “You smell so good,” Flynt muttered as he buried his face in Dean’s hair and inhaled deeply. Dean didn’t know how to behave when he felt Flynt’s warm embrace melt his body.
“F-Flynt …”
“You’re very soft and warm and fragrant, Dean,” muttered Flynt in Dean’s ear. “How could someone be as seductive as I feel about you?”
Dean looked up to looked at Flynt’s eyes. His tears were flowing and he reached out to touch Flynt’s face. He doesn’t care that Flynt will be angry or feel disgusted by him after this, but he must touch Flynt to release his longing.
“Dean, I want to kiss you right now. You’re so seductive.”
“So? Kiss me,” whispered Dean, clutching the collar of Flynt’s hospital shirt.
Flynt smiled. He brought his lips to Dean’s ear and whispered. “I’ll do it later. Now, will you listen to a secret?”
