An hour’s nap was not able to heal Vana’s fatigue at all. On the contrary, she felt even more tired. But Simon had promised to Ethan. If Vana did not go, he would feel very hurt.
Simon had been reminding her not to push herself too hard. Vana leaned against the back seat of the car and nodded, “don’t worry. It should be a good time to enjoy autumn moon on the Double Ninth Festival. Besides, it’s novel for me to attend the parent-child activity of Ethan.”
As soon as Simon stopped talking, Vana and Ethan started to have fun. At last, Simon took some desserts prepared for them and then the two people stopped playing so that Vana could have the energy to hold on to the activity place.
The activity was held in the HR District, which was an area with the rise of entertainment and tourism. There were many special construction facilities in the area that were worth the friends from all over the world to linger on. Moreover, the construction of the city was very fashionable. There were not only Disneyland Theme pavilion but also pavilion with theme of scenic spots all over the world. Of course, in the Magic City, the river and lake were the most common. The Lake of Autumn was a famous lake and it was located in the place which was not far from the suburb of the HR District, attracting tourists from all over the country.
It took less than an hour from the SG District to the HR District. When the car was halfway through, Vana felt sleepy again. She leaned against the soft and comfortable seat and slept for a while. She vaguely heard that Simon told the driver to turn off the music.
After a long time, the car began to slowly drive up the slope. Vana was woken up by the shake. Simon handed her a bottle of water and said, “We’re almost there. The cars in front of us are queuing up to enter the parking lot. It seems that there are a lot of people today.”
Vana sat up straight from the seat and looked out of the window. She found that all the people here were wearing the same school uniform as Ethan. As soon as she saw the spoiled girls not far away, she was immediately shocked. “Oh, my phone…”
Simon said, “Your phone hasn’t been with you since you came back yesterday. You must have lost it.”
Vana patted her forehead and said, “so Lola must have contacted me because of this activity, but my phone was taken away by Emily. Now Lola must be very disappointed. How could she attend the activity alone?”
Afraid that Vana would be anxious, Simon asked the driver to put down the window of the business car and said, “how about we go to look for her? If she comes alone, we can take her with us.”
Vana nodded and looked around with Ethan through the window.
The car was moving very fast. On both sides of the road into the garden were all tourists and the parents of the students who participated in the activity. Ethan had found the place where his class was. He could go there to report as soon as the driver stopped the car.
Vana remembered what Simon had said to her on the bed before, so she asked, “Simon, you said that their school was going to have an outing in the autumn before, but because I couldn’t walk, it was changed to enjoy the autumn scenery. What’s going on?”
Before Simon could answer, looking out of the window, Ethan answered, “Uncle is one of board members of our school. All the extra reward system of our school is provided by uncle’s company, so he has the right to decide this activity project.”
Vana was immediately shocked. She turned her head and looked at Simon who was a seat distance away and said, “you are too willful. If I were the other board members of the school and knew that you changed everyone’s decision because of a woman, I would definitely think you are a fatuous man.”
Sitting on the passenger seat, Terence nodded in agreement. Behind Vana, Ethan even clapped his hands with Vana to show that he shared the same view with her. But Simon didn’t notice it. He was still sitting and watching the world calmly.
The car finally arrived at the entrance of the parking lot. Vana and the others got out of the car. Simon took Ethan to register at the class, and Vana began to look for the traces of around there with Terence and the driver Jack Zhang.
The park of the Lake of Autumn was too large, and the long road was full of tourists. Some of the classes in the ZH High School had already entered the park, so it was difficult to find Lola.
After a while, Vana decided to look for her separately. They would return to the parking lot in about thirty minutes. Vana estimated the time and walked towards the place where there were the most students in the ZH High School.
The Lake of Autumn was a half-opened tourist attraction. The local people of the Magic City were allowed to travel here for free and the people from other regions needed to pay for the tickets, so there were many people coming here.
Moreover, the outing in the autumn in the Double Ninth Festival was a great spectacle that almost all the Magic City people gathered. Therefore, the more students gathered, the more irrelevant people there would be.
Vana looked around the area where there were a lot of students in the school uniform, but she didn’t find any traces of Lola. Unexpectedly, she found Chloe Tang, Lola’s classmate that Lucas had taken home before. When Chloe Tang saw Vana, she called her “Sister” affectionately, which lit up Vana’s hope. She pulled Chloe Tang and asked, “Chloe, has Lola come to report here? When will your class enter?”
Chloe Tang smiled sweetly and said, “In the morning, Lola said that she couldn’t get through to you, so she called her grandpa and grandma. But I don’t know when they will come. As for the time to enter, we should wait for the staff to confirm it. Sister Vana, are you here to accompany Lola? ”

Vana was speechless. She raised her head and was about to roll her eyes and leave, but she saw the grandmother of Lola sitting on the passenger seat.
“Mother Linda? You brought Lola here?”
When Linda Xie saw it was Vana, she was also shocked. She immediately urged the young man in the driver’s seat to turn off the engine. Then she got out of the passenger seat, and the back door of the car immediately opened. Lola rushed over too.
