~Maya’s POV~
Ivy and I waited patiently while Finn devoured his meal. He was swamped relating to us about his business trip to the Maldives, which he had recently taken. I listened in on their conversation while they kissed and hugged each other. I couldn’t be happier that Ivy had moved on from Nathan. I am aware that it was difficult for her to let go of everything. I mean, the two of them have been sleeping together for some time, and it wasn’t going to be a simple chore to forget about the fact that they had been doing so. But as of right now, it looks like Finn is the guy for her, and I have to say that I really like him. He’s more mature than Ivy is. When Finn was done with his lunch, he and Ivy left together, and I remained behind as I still wanted to feel the cool breeze that came with the lovely sun that was pouring into my face and the view of the ocean complimented the weather. As I sat there soaking up the sun, I decided to place yet another juice order. I was suddenly overwhelmed with pressure, and I had the urge to use the restroom. I needed to go to the restroom, so I signaled one of the servers to watch over my children while I went. Because I was aware that one of the children might start to stir at any moment, I decided against taking my time in the lavatory. After I was done with my business, I washed my hands and headed outside. After thanking the waitress, I took a seat, but she kept staring at me as though she couldn’t understand what was happening. I tilted my head in her direction, but all she could muster was a scared expression. Then, at long last, she opened her mouth.
“Ma’am, did you come with someone here?” As she asked, a smile crossed my face.
“Yes, my sister and I came together,” she responded. I saw that she let out a sigh of relief as if she had been holding her breath for a considerable amount of time before doing so.
“Blonde hair.”
“What, blonde hair?”
“Does your sister have blonde hair?”
“No, my sister has brown hair,” I said. Her eyes became wide.
“A lady with blonde hair and a blood-red outfit just entered this place, ma’am. She said that she was your sister, and she took one of the infants with her when she left. She went… Oh, my God, she’s no longer where she was standing.”
“What!”
I turned around and looked around, wanting to chase after whoever might have taken my baby, but then I realized that I couldn’t just dash after her since I would have to leave both of my babies with the same waitress who had let the unknown woman take one of my babies. But then I noticed my driver, and I summoned him to help me put the two children into the car as I rushed after whoever had taken my child. While we were doing that, I chased after the person who had taken my kids. Even breathing was difficult for me. My thoughts were scattered all over the place. After checking, I was able to observe. The woman took my baby girl. I immediately started running in the direction that the waitress had indicated. But I didn’t see anyone. After being defeated, I threw myself upon the dunes of the beach and started crying.
Zion
My hands were shaking as I reached for my phone because I didn’t know what to say to Zion and I was afraid that he wouldn’t react well to anything I said. When the phone rang, he answered it almost before it even finished ringing.
Zion: Hello!
It was impossible for me to inform him that his princess had gone missing. Where do I even start? I couldn’t find the words, so I just burst into tears.
Zion: Maya, can you tell me what it is?
I was at a complete loss for words. It was a total disaster and I was a mess. There was no sign of my little girl. But then I had the realization that if I didn’t tell him right away, the other woman might try to leave the country with my daughter. I had to tell him.
Zion: Maya, you are scaring the living daylights out of me, baby. What exactly is it?
Maya: Zion, Au… Aurora has been kidnapped.
Zion: What?
I couldn’t say anything. I kept crying and running to God knows where. I didn’t know what to do. I had no idea who stole my girl,
I had no idea who stole my girl,
Kelly Martins,
I froze.
Kelly stole my child.
No! I couldn’t believe the woman would be capable of doing something like that. What is it that she wants from me, exactly? I don’t understand why she doesn’t take her frustration out on me. It is I who took her man, not my baby. I feel numb. And all of a sudden I fell limp, and my mind went completely blank as I gave in to darkness after falling on the dunes of the beach.
~Zion’s POV~
When I got a call from my wife, I was in the middle of a meeting at the time. But when it comes to Maya, everything has to wait. I went outside the meeting room to answer the call and she couldn’t talk. I could tell that she was having trouble articulating her thoughts because all she did was cry. It seemed as if he had been crying for a considerable amount of time.
Zion: Hello!
I didn’t get any response from my wife. I was barely able to make out the sound of someone sobbing on the other end of the line.
Zion: Maya, can you tell me what it is?
She was inconsolable and didn’t utter a single word the entire time. I felt my heart racing. Is one of the kids sick? What is wrong?
Zion: Maya, you are scaring the living daylights out of me, baby. What exactly is it?
I said as I fiddled with my tie, anticipating that she would soon speak to me.
Maya: Zion, Au… Aurora has been kidnapped.
Zion: What?
I felt like the world had come to an end. My little girl has been kidnapped. By who? Maya is in such a state that I am unable to question her about anything at this time. What led to this occurrence? It was difficult for Maya to talk, so I got someone to track her location and they told me she was by the sea point. I made a mad dash to the shore point and immediately began looking for my girls. However, by the time I reached Maya, she was already unconscious.
