~Zion’s POV~

I looked around my office to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything, then took my bag and headed out to pass it to one of my bodyguards. We walked all the way to the parking lot, and there I was greeted by yet, Kelly Martin. What is the matter with this woman? I mean, in all seriousness, I’ve reached the point where this annoys me. I walked past her and into my car. I was going to start my car when she darted in front of it. My two bodyguards dragged her out of the line of my path. I think I need a restraining order against this woman. Aren’t women supposed to know when a man is uninterested? This woman is beginning to get on my nerves exactly at this very moment. I was very sincere when I said that I had no interest in having her. Why is it so difficult for her to grasp? I drove away without looking back, and after a while, I noticed my bodyguards following. When I returned home, I found Sophia in my bedroom, where she was actively massaging Maya’s leg. However, the girl gave me a dubious look. I turned to face Maya. She was sound sleeping. Just when I was about to go to bed, Sophia blocked my way. Suddenly, I found myself looking in her direction. She was gripping her waist and stared at me, clearly agitated. She was testing me. I could have pushed her away if she hadn’t been my sister, but she was so cute.
“What exactly is it, Sophia?” I inquired as I removed my tie. She didn’t respond. Instead, she directed a glance at Maya and said,
“Come with me.”
“I’ll do everything for my younger sister.” I took off my shoes and put on some slippers before following Sophia into her room. She pulled out her laptop. “No, no, no Sophia, I told you I’m no longer good with that. I’ve already taught you everything I know.” She gave me a warning look, which made me laugh. She is, in fact, an archer. She is starting to act like my father after spending time with him. That thought made me happy, but my happiness was short-lived as Sophia opened her laptop and showed me Kelly’s profile. I took a glance around. Her door was open, so I rushed to shut it. “What is the point of this?” When I asked her, she crossed her arms across her chest and looked me in the eye.
“Are you cheating on Lady Maya, Brother Zion?”
“What? Wait, how do you even know such a thing, Sophia?”
“I’m aware of these things.” I became enraged.
“Sophia, what do you mean, you know these things? Tell me you don’t have a boyfriend. I swear I’m going to kill that kid.” I yipped.
“Please stop growling. I’m aware of what men and women do behind closed doors.” I froze and stared suspiciously at my darling Sophia. She saw me about to pounce and replied, “Brother Zion, I don’t have a boyfriend. I promise, it’s not like you’ll let me have one. But there is a big bloke on whom I have a crush.” I looked her in the eyes. This girl has a lot of guts. She immediately moved her laptop away from her. “Are you or are you not cheating on Lady Maya with your ex-fiance?”
“Do you want Lady Maya to shave my flesh off while I’m still alive? Nope, I am not.”
“How did this woman get Lady Maya’s phone number?”
“What exactly do you mean?”
“Today I was playing games on Maya’s phone. We agreed that I would keep her company for the entire day if she borrowed me her phone, but then your ex-fiance chose to call.” My eyes widened. Oh my goodness, did she inform Maya about what she did in my office before I told my wife? I was agitated.
“And?”
“And when I answered the phone, she went silent for two minutes before hanging up. Then she called again, this time asking to speak with Maya. I pretended to be astonished and asked who Maya was.” This situation is getting completely out of control. What does Kelly want from my wife? Maya doesn’t need to be stressed right now because she could give birth at any time. “When Maya questioned who the caller was, I informed her it was a spam call. When she went to sleep, I did this and blocked her number of Maya’s phone and removed it from her call log.”
“Come here, clever girl.”
“I don’t want Maya to be worried.” She added. I brushed her hair, and she pouted her lips.
“You did well.” I praised.
“Do you swear you’re not going to see her?”
“No, but I think it’s about time I spoke with her. Allow me to go freshen up, kiddo. I love you.”
As I walked out of her room, she grinned. Right now, a lot of thoughts are racing through my head. When it comes to my wife, I’ll go to any length. Maya doesn’t need all of this; she just wants to be stress free. At least let her stress about how swollen her legs are. Not some insane ex. What exactly am I saying? She was never even an ex-girlfriend of mine. Maya was not on the bed when I entered my room. She appeared to have peed on herself as she exited the bathroom. When I glanced at her, she cried and stroked her tummy. I was terrified. That meant she was in labour, which I knew. Am I ready to meet my kids? Will I be a good father to them? I should have known better, yet I stood still and froze. I fucking chicken out.
“Zion, I think the babies are coming.”
What’s the matter with me? Do something, Zion, fucking move before something bad happens.
I then dashed up to her and helped her sit down before sprinting over to Grandma. I fucking didn’t even know when I entered her room for the first time in my life. Fortunately, they were drinking tea while watching their favourite show. I hesitated, not knowing what to say, but it was excitement this time. I was going to meet my princess and my prince.
“Maya is in labour, Grandma.” I watched as she moved faster than her normal movement. She walked into her walk-in closet and took her medical kit out.
“Follow me,” she ordered, and I followed her right away.
