Kristi gently tasted the wine and looked blankly at her surroundings. She decided to go back to her office.
Her gorgeous face was intimidating. She saw her employees looking at her with full amazement.
But when she looked at them they were in a panic. They continued what they were doing.
The sound of heels isn’t louder. Her face was serious like she was ready to fight.
She sighed heavily. She tasted the wine and smirked at the same. She got her cell phone and dialed someone who could help her.
“Hello, Madam,” The man said repeatedly.
“I want you to investigate, Catriona. I want to know if she was the woman that I saw two years ago,” Kristi commanded.
“Madam, alright, I will call you back when I found out everything,” The man answered. Kristi ended the call and sipped her wine also.
The elevator stopped and she elegantly walked into her office.
“Madam, someone wants to meet you. He said you know him,” her secretary informed her.
Kristi gently raises her eyebrows. Her face was full of dominance and she looked blankly at the man who was waiting for her.
A handsome man looked at her with amazement in his eyes. Kristi was shocked when she saw him.
“Shaun,” she called his name. The man smirked at her and hugged her quickly.
“Kristi, I miss you!” Shaun said. Kristi hugged him back.
“You’re hurting me, Kristi! You’ve married again?” Shaun told her. He hugged her tightly and gently kissed her head.
“You don’t love, Kristi? After we date and kiss each other,” Shaun added. Kristi chuckled at what he said.
“Why aren’t you talking? Did you cut your tongue? Did you regret that you married your ex-boyfriend, divorce him, Kristi,” Shaun says and gently holds her hand.
Kristi was relaxed and didn’t even feel uncomfortable. She loves Shaun, as her friend, not romantically.
“What are you doing here? Did Daniel know that you’re here?” Kristi asked him. Shaun’s eyes went wider.
“No, he didn’t know that I’m here. I wanted to surprise him, you know as his loving friend I know he hates surprises,” Shaun kidding.
“Just prepare if he punches you, I’m famished, let’s have dinner,” Kristi told him. Shaun’s eyes shone.
“Alright, you should treat me to dinner. After all, I’m a visitor here,” Shaun replied and put his hand on Kristi’s shoulder.
Kristi smiled at him. Shaun stopped himself to smile at her.
“You look elegant! I wish I was the one you married,” Shaun retorted.
Benjamin can’t believe everything that he heard from Catriona. He thought that she was lying.
He parked his car in front of the Velasquez Company and sighed. He feels lonely and he misses Kristi.
He didn’t care if Kristi went to a mental institution. He knows there are deeper reasons. He wanted to know the truth but how?
Benjamin opened his car door and decided to enter the Velasquez company. He was nervous about what he did to Kristi. He feels that Kristi stopped herself to cry in front of him as she did when he found out that she aborted their baby.
He looked at the secretary who was shocked when he saw him. Benjamin’s face was serious.
“Hello Sir, Madam was not here,” The secretary told him. Benjamin’s forehead creased.
“Where did she go? I thought she didn’t have a meeting today?” Benjamin can’t stop himself to ask.
It’s his wife! Of course, he needs to know about her schedule.
The secretary sighed. Benjamin bowed his head and wanted to shout in frustration. He took his cellphone and immediately dialed her number.
“Hello,” Kristi answered quickly. Benjamin closed his eyes and gently massaged his head.
“Where are you?” Benjamin wanted to shout at her but he stopped himself. He wanted to know everything first before he reacted.
“I’m with a friend, did you go to my office? What about your friend, Catriona?” Kristi sarcastically asked him. Benjamin swallowed when he heard her icy tone.
“Who’s your friend? You didn’t even tell me,” Benjamin bluntly told her.
“Did you tell me first when you went to Catriona’s house and spent the night with her? Are you freaking kidding me, Benjamin?” Kristi shouted at him. Benjamin can’t believe it.
“Oh, who’s that Kristi? Your husband?” Benjamin heard a man’s voice. He wanted to find Kristi quickly and lock her in their bedroom.
“Who is that?” Benjamin ran towards the elevator. The secretary was left dumbfounded by his action but decided not to talk.
“A friend, Daniel knows him,” Kristi simply answered. The man laughed louder.
“Stop laughing, Shaun!” Kristi irritatedly shouted at the man who was beside her.
Shaun gently bit his tongue, he knows that Kristi’s husband will be jealous because of him.
“Oh, Darling, stop it!” Shaun acted like Kristi was doing something to him. Kristi’s eyes went wider and her cheeks were pink.
“Shaun!” Kristi yells at him and gently slaps his back.
“Oh, babe! Stop it, stop pushing me,” Shaun moaned and acting like he was doing something nasty with Kristi.
“Kristi, I don’t want to see who that man is, I want you to go home or else, I will find you and lock you in our bedroom,” Benjamin shouted at his wife but Shaun was laughing and stopped the call. He turned off her cellphone and smirked.
“Let’s see if he will find us, I want him to learn his lesson today,” Shaun playfully informed her. Kristi shakes her head in dismay.
“And why are you doing this? Are you bitter today?” Kristi asked.
Shaun stopped himself to laugh at her. He shakes his head at her question.
“Kristi, you know that I love you right? I want your husband to learn his lesson, I know that he secretly went to his best friend’s house, Daniel told me,” Shaun explained.
“Daniel wanted to punch him, you know that we love you. And we can’t accept the fact of how he treated you,” Shaun added.
Kristi gripped the steering wheel, she didn’t want to cry but her tears flowed down her pretty face.
“Oh! Don’t you dare cry in front of me! I will tell Daniel about this,” Shaun warned her. Kristi slapped him hard on his legs.
“Ouch!” Shaun yelled in pain. His eyes went wide and can’t believe that the love of his life had slapped him.
“Oh, you’re like Cassandra! Your brother was unlucky to have her!” Shaun retorted and wanted to cry. He pouted his lips and made cute faces in front of Kristi.
Kristi laughed and parked her car in front of the expensive restaurant. Shaun didn’t know that she texted her brother.
“Oh, wow! It’s your treat, right? Daniel will be envious if he finds out that his sister treated me to an expensive meal,” Shaun proudly says but he shrieked when someone grabbed his neck.
