After Clara left, Laura didn’t want to spend any time with Helena any longer.
Laura took out her cell phone and made a call to her servant, asking the servant to pick her up right away.
Hearing what Laura said on the phone, Helena was a little unwilling. “Laura, you haven’t recovered. Why not stay with me for a few more days?”
With neither Clara nor Horace around, Laura didn’t pretend to be close with Helena, saying impatiently, “I will take care of myself. It’s none of your business.”

Helena had been focusing on Laura during dinner. When Clara was eating the meat, Laura’s eyes were shining with excitement.
Helena was strange because Laura was so excited. She guessed there must be a motive hidden somewhere.
When remembering that Laura took the initiative to help Helena with cooking, Helena had a bad premonition, hoping it didn’t go as she thought.
Hearing Helena’s words, Laura was somewhat shocked. She did not expect this Helena to be so careful. Laura thought what she did was perfect, it failed to deceive Helena.
Trying her best to play calmly, Laura said, “What are you talking about? We had a meal. I can’t do anything for her.”
“Then why did you look at Clara that way when she was eating the meat?” Helena hurriedly walked to Laura’s wheelchair and squatted down. “Laura, tell me the truth. Did you drug the meat? What exactly do you want to do for Clara?”
Laura finally knew what went wrong. Her eyes turned sharp. “Yes, drugged the meal. Are you worried about Clara now? Will you tell her about this? After all, you brought her up. Thus, it is reasonable for you to be partial to her. You want to sacrifice me for the sake of her, right?”
“Laura, what are you talking about? You are my daughter. I would never do anything bad for you.” When Helena heard that Laura did drug the meat, Helena was heartbroken, wondering why Laura was so crazy about plotting against Clara.
“Shut up! You’re not my mother!” Hearing Helena’s words, Laura freaked out. “If it weren’t for you, how would I have become like this? Now that you have decided to give me away, why did you tell Clara about it! Why don’t you keep it a secret for the rest of your life?”
Being questioned by Laura, Helena almost lost her balance, and tears soon flowed down her cheeks.
“Laura, what happened back then was all my fault. You can be angry at me whenever you are annoyed. But Clara is innocent. She is as poor as you. You cannot be so against her.”
” She didn’t do anything wrong? She took away my brother, Horace, and my status as a member of the Hutchinson family! I hate her! I hate her!” Clara shouted hysterically, “I just want to get back at her. I just want her to pay for what happened back then! I just want to teach her a lesson for fighting with me!”
“Laura, you are right. You can vent your anger on me at will. But please let Clara go. She is innocent.” Pulling Laura’s hand, Helena cried and pleaded.
“No, I will let her pay the price!” Pushing Helena away, Laura shouted crazily, “You can tell her what I did, but I won’t come anymore if you do that!”
After glaring at Helena, Laura pushed the door open and left.
Helena had just had surgery, so she remained very weak. Due to Laura’s push, Helena fell to the ground and could not get up. She could do nothing but watch Laura leave.
“It was all my fault, but why did Laura and Clara have to suffer from that?” As Laura walked away, Helena cried, lying on the ground.
Clara was in danger! She ate the drugged meat! Helena remembered it and hurriedly crawled to the telephone.
Helena didn’t know what kind of drug Laura put on the meat, but she was very worried about Clara. Helena regretted not telling Clara this before she left.
Having found Clara’s phone number and dialed it, Helena anxiously waited for Clara to answer the phone. Clara should have enjoyed a rich life. However, she was switched to Laura. If there was something wrong with Clara, Helena would be more guilty.
“Answer the phone, Clara. Hurry up!” However, Clara was not answering her cell. Helena was so anxious that tears trickled down her cheeks.
Helena was afraid that Clara was in danger now.
Thinking of this, Helena almost freaked out. She grabbed the phone and cried loudly. “Clara, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault. It’s all my fault! I’m so sorry!”
