One minute I was at the castle and in the next second I was transported to an empty wide field but I could see a house in the distance, Sophie started to walk towards it and I followed her trying to talk to her, she ignored me acting like I wasn’t talking to her. I blocked her path causing her to stop dead in her track.
Ignoring the glare she was stabbing at me, I told her what I wanted. “We had a deal and I’m not going anywhere with you until we talk about this arrangement, you went against the deal we had” I pointed out.
“Look human, I recalled informing you that our deal was off” She replied trying to move past me, for a moment I wondered why she didn’t just teleport us inside the house then I figured out maybe the boundary spell Claire and I talked about was the reason why.
“You abducted me, there was no way I would have come with you after what you did to Jet. I will never tell you what you want to know. Never” I told her not believing I had almost fallen for her words, Jet wouldn’t believe me if I told him I’d never wanted to come with her, dread filled me, what If Jet is too angry to come and rescue me? I swallowed her telling myself I was overthinking, he would never abandon me.
“I do not need you to tell me anything” She rolled her eyes at me. “I need you to be there” She moved me aside and continue walking towards the building, realizing I wasn’t coming with her, she stopped and turned to look at me.
“It is a full moon tonight, I believe the werewolves shall be pleased to have a human meal tonight” At the mention of the full moon, I freeze in shock. I had forgotten all about the full moon, I run after Sophie to catch up with her but she walk so damn fast and at some point, I was convinced she was doing it on purpose.
She only stopped once we are at the mansion entrance, two huge-looking guards opened an iron gate for us to go in, and I followed Sophie in not wanting to be a full moon snack for the werewolves. “Sophie please, you cannot keep me here, it’s the full moon tonight, it’s dangerous for me to be here” I shivered as I brief flashback from the last time a full moon occurred, Jet had almost snapped my head not to talk more about tonight being a full moon. It was getting dark already.
“We need you alive not dead” She reported not batting an eye in my direction, we stepped into a long hallway passing many curious servants who twirled around to look at me no doubt wondering what a human was doing in their castle.
“We?” I stopped walking for a second. “Who are we?” *Oh God! This should not be where I think Sophie is taking me to, please no* I prayed inwardly.
“Finally our guest has arrived,” Darren said bursting out of nowhere with a perfect smirk on his lips, he said something to Sophie that made her roll her eyes, no words were exchanged as I followed them to a huge living room with only a centre table.
“You guys should let me go, Jet will not spare you if you hurt me” I threatened to dart a look around for any weapon despite not even knowing how to use them.
“Humans and always talking funny,” A new voice said, I turned to look at her as she strolled in. There was something about her that creeped me out and I took a step back, she had a flock wrapped around herself, and her long black hair was braided into a single braid stopping at her waist.
“I believe we have not met. The name is Elena” She introduced herself before gesturing towards the table. “Get on the table, the sooner we are finished the better” She ordered looking over her shoulder.
“Once you are done with her, I want her to be handed over to me,” Darren said out of nowhere like I was a rag doll that get to pass around, before I could give him a reply, Sophie beat me to it.
“No” Her voice was sharp but Darren wasn’t having it, he took a step towards her, flashing his fangs in anger.
“You shall hand the human to me when you are done with her” His voice was low and threatening reminding me of Jet only that Jet’s voice affect me in a way I don’t even want to think about right now, I look outside the huge glass window, everywhere was completely dark and it only a matter of time before the moon rise.
“Please let me go now” I pleaded to push back the panic swelling upside me but they ignored me like I hadn’t spoken at all.
“You are not my Alpha Darren, I answer to no one including you, getting the human here was my idea. We all needed her for the same thing, if you want your revenge go after Jet” I couldn’t tell if she was protecting me or not. “Or are you scared?” She taunted.
“That is enough from both of you” Elena growled stepping between them. “The human remains here until the next council meeting then we shall decide what to do with her” I snorted like Jet would leave me here. Another part of me was afraid Jet might not come for me after our last argument.
My heart almost jumped out of my chest when I heard a howl in the distance, followed by another and another, it almost seems like with each howl the nearer the sound was getting and that finally seems to get their attention. I composed myself resisting the urge to sway, the heat had started to spread through my body, I could feel it.
“There is no need to be afraid, the headquarter is guarded and they know better than to come to a place where a pack of Alphas live” Sophie informed me taking my heat reaction as fear.
If it was up to me, I might have been able to hide the fact that I was in heat but I couldn’t, the pain started like a slow burn through me before bursting into pleasure, I moan reaching to grab the table, I started to sweat, the next heat reaction had me crying out.
“This is interesting” I heard Darren murmur with undisguised interest.
“Is this what I believe it is?” Elena asked exchanging looks with Sophie who suddenly look scared.
“She is in heat!” She yelled. “How is this possible? Do you think she is Jet’s soul mate?” She demanded ranking a hand through her hair.
“Jet…” I gasped. “Is going to kill you” I cried again trying to fall properly on the table, Darren stepped forward to stop me but Sophie pushed him back.
“What are you trying to do? You are unmated! You are not her mate” She hissed at him. “Elena there is no use finding out anything because it appears that she is Jet’s soul mate, it is the reason he brought her here. Why had this taken us long to figure out?” The howl came again, this time I could swear I heard them outside the window.
I couldn’t think properly, it was too much, I needed Jet. I don’t want to fight it any longer, I was fighting to lose the battle, the more I fight the stronger the heat. I started to cry, moan and thrash about on the table Sophie and Elena had managed to place me on.
“We shall have to worry about that later, the scent of an unmated human is drawing the unmated werewolves to this building. They could not detect her human scent due to the desire she is feeling. We need to do something” Elena said looking at me briefly.
“I shall keep an eye on her, you should go and take care of the arising problem, I brought her here,” Sophie said.
“No” Darren growled. “Jet killed my cousin, it is only fair I mate with his soul mate before he gets the chance to”
Darren’s words made me freeze in fear, my eyes widened in shock. No! No!! I cannot let this happen, if he touch me there would be no stopping him because of the heat, tears filled my eyes. No, I belong to Jet not him, I’d rather die than let him touch me.
“No!” I shouted drawing their attention to me. “No one is touching me! I will kill you” I gasped biting hard on my lips to stop a moan.
“I am unmated and in heat so are you. I am afraid there is not much you can do about it. I get what I want, Jet took my cousin from me. I shall claim his mate then pass her around to the others who I can feel approaching the building” He spat his eyes turning red.
I look at Sophie begging her to help me but she looked away so does Elena, they were all Alphas and Darren had made his own decision as an Alpha, unless they want to break the council up that was the only way to stop him which would result to war and I don’t see that happening.
Dread filled me and I felt so sick all of a sudden. *Please God, Let Jet come in time cause I’d rather die one way or the other before I let Darren touch me* I vowed.
