CHAPTER-03

Book:Queen of Hell Published:2024-5-28

Sydney’s POV:
Fallen. I am falling. Falling down. From where? The portrait? I fell hard on the rough ground. My chin hits the ground bringing me pain. The pain isn’t equal to the fact that I lost Lydia. I opened my eyes to see the hell for the first time.
I have no imagination how it will look like. But it’s like the Slateville. Not exactly the same. Everything is dark around me. I am in the middle of a road. It’s a street and looking just like Slateville. Except for one thing, everything’s a disaster. The building, houses, the road has many cracks and it could fall at any moment. I feel like I am seeing a disastrous city which couldn’t be back to its normal state. The sky is dark. I am not going to see the daylight around here. I am sure of it.
I stood up brushing the dirt off my long blue gown. When I turned back there’s a small spark of white light in a circle which vanished slowly but completely. That’s the way I came to hell without hearing anyone’s words. I have no idea how will I return. But I know I will. Only with my Aunt Lydia. She’s my aunt, guardian and I am not gonna lose her.
I wandered around the road looking for nothing specific. I didn’t know where I should go. I stopped walking when I spotted something specific. My house. The place where I lived with my aunt for many years. I know this is not my house. It’s hell. I told to myself and opened the gate to my house.
I can’t spot anyone here. I feel like I am the only person in hell. I reached the hall and the memories came into my mind. This is the place where I have been without knowing my true parents, lost all my memories, dumped with some fake memories. The dining table is broken, there’s no light. I walked up to my room through the stairs. I slowly opened the door to my room in hell. My bookshelves are broken and most of the books are down on the floor. My laptop, the phone screen is cracked. I don’t care, it’s not true at all. It’s not Slateville.
I am not in Slateville.
When I was thinking, I heard some footsteps approaching somewhere near me.
” Who’s that?” I asked as I heard my echo voice. Who could enter my house in hell? Did my friends follow me? Did they come for me? I can feel some hope I am having when I heard the footsteps. I remembered of Jacen. I broke up with me but if he came here. I don’t think this is the right time to think about it. It could be anyone. Friends or strangers? Known or unknown? Alive or dead?
By the time I am back to the hall and I caught of glimpse of someone’s shadow crossing over Lydia’s room near the hall.
” Who’s that? Show yourself?” I shouted. I am not scared. If it’s my friends or mom, they won’t scare me. No reply. Nothing. Okay, am I hallucinating?
I wish it’s all a nightmare so I could wake up in my room to realize I am with Lydia and I never left my house to any academy.
” I know someone is here,” I said silently this time. I carefully walked to Lydia’s room. Before I could realize I heard a voice and someone pushed me down. I hit the dining table and fell on my knees.
” You should have died a long time ago. You are too late,” I looked up as I can’t recognize this voice.
” Welcome to Hell,” An old man said folding his arms in front of me. I don’t know him.
” Who the hell are you?”
” Give respect. I am older than you and you already know me. Try to remember ex-Slateville princess,” I am still the princess. I am not dead. I will go back. Did I know him?
” I don’t know you?”
” Right. The princess’s mind is too slow to remember. I was the one who tried to kidnap you a long time ago in the forest and two idiotic boys beat me till I ran away,” he explained as I recalled it. It happened when I went hunting with Jacen and Noah.
” You?” I am glad you are dead,” I snapped getting up leaning on the broken table.
” Haha. poor child, you are dead too,” He said laughing in his old cracked voice. He thinks I am dead. I am not. Let’s fake like I am dead till I find my aunt. I don’t know why am I seeing him instead of Lydia in our house.
” Laugh out loud. I don’t care,” I said making my way out of the hall. It’s frustrating to walk in a long gown in hell. I never expected to end up in a situation like this.
” You should care about that. I am dead because of you. I want to kill you more than once.” He said and grabbed my hands hardly.
” Get your hands off me. I am not the reason for your death. I don’t even you,” I shrieked and lifted my hands as a blue light came out of my palm, knocking the old man down. He deserves this. He tried to hurt me twice.
” How dare you can harm him?” I heard another voice over the other side. A young voice. Who could it be? I don’t want any more problems.
” You have powers? Aren’t you dead?” the old man said struggling to get up. I looked at the side where the other voice came from.
” She is not dead, uncle. But she will be,” A boy said furiously and walked straight towards me. I am defiently not alone in this house anymore. I don’t know how many people are here. Dead ones.
” Catch her, Mason. If she isn’t dead then she needs to die now,” the old man ordered as I decided to run. I know I could protect myself with my power. But I can’t do without knowing who am I dealing with.
” You are not running away, princess,” Mason or whatever his name is. He said and pinned both of my hands on the hall forcefully as my head hits the wall hard.
” I may try to run but I am not going to do that. Get off me or you will regret it,” I snarled.
” Aww. You can’t make me regret anything. I am already dead. But I can be able to kill you,” he said as I strained to get my hands off his grip.
” Before you speak I need to talk. Rule number one, stop resisting, so we can have a little chat. If you break it, then you will be listening with a rope tied on your hands, tape on your mouth. Which one is comfortable, princess?”
