Most of the missed calls were from Kevin. Some were also from Leo, the university, and some strange phone numbers.
Annetta called Kevin, who immediately picked up. “Wow, Annie,” He exclaimed. “Your university is crazy! What event requires such strict surveillance that you can’t even pick up your phone?! Do you know what you’ve missed out on during this time? The video you asked me to upload caused such a huge sensation. It is a brilliant plot twist that can’t even be found in TV dramas!”
Yes, Annetta had sent the video Douglas had given her to Kevin, asking him to post it on the Internet at 7 pm the day after he had stabilized Leo.
Everything had gone just as she had anticipated.
“Within a minute, the video had over a thousand views. Those who were scolding Leo went on to slam Armani on Twitter. I did what you said and set up a Twitter account for Leo. Overnight, his fans increased from zero to 50, 000. He already has over a million followers after less than ten days. What a slap in the face to Armani’s public relations team! They attempted to take advantage of us, but instead, they ended up helping Leo publicize for free.”
Annetta checked Leo’s Twitter whilst on the phone with Kevin. His Twitter had hit 1. 6 million followers.
There was not a single piece of content on Leo’s Twitter.
However, after a search of Leo’s name, she could see a lot of pictures of Leo on set. A fan had managed to take a picture of Leo’s side profile whilst he was on set, and that post was a hit on Twitter.
“Leo’s side profile and his fan page have slowly become the hottest search on Twitter. Our boy Leo is now someone with fans!” Kevin said excitedly. “By the way, Annie, how did you know that the effect of posting the video the night after would be much better?”
“I gave these keyboard warriors one day to bash Leo online. They’d realise they’d been attacking the wrong person once they saw the video you posted. Instead of making them feel bad, it would infuriate them even more, and they would turn their rage on Armani. At the same time, a lot of netizens would sympathize with Leo. In the future, if we do a good job with Leo’s public relations, we should be able to convert all of these netizens into his fans.” Currently, only Armani’s ardent fans were still siding with him. Leo had surpassed him in popularity.
“Tsk, tsk, my little Annie, I never knew you were so smart,” Kevin said. “But honestly, these keyboard warriors. First, they go and attack Leo, then after that, they go and attack Armani. Why don’t they apply to be the Fume-shrooms from Plant vs Zombies since they’re so good at being trolls?!”
Kevin’s rant made Annetta laugh. She said, “Is Leo on set today? I’ll visit him later.”
“Yes,” Kevin replied. “However, Armani remains as pompous as ever. Even though he’s been dormant on Twitter because of all the online bashing, he is still as obnoxious as ever on set. He doesn’t bully Leo anymore, but he set up his own private lounge on set and has five assistants to wait on him, hand and foot. Sphinx Media treats Armani as though he is a first-rate artist even though he is barely a third-rate artist.”
Annetta knew that it was Raelynn giving Armani the special treatment, not Sphinx Media.
Annetta arrived on the set of ‘Hero’ at three o’clock in the afternoon. Ethan had not returned since he left with Hugo.
Annetta saw a splendid building outside the set when she arrived. At first, she thought it was part of the set but never expected it to be Armani’s private lounge.
Annetta had expected Armani to be pompous, but she had not expected him to be as conspicuous as this.
However, it was none of Annetta’s business. As long as Armani did not provoke Leo, she wanted nothing to do with him either.
A familiar voice rang out just as Annetta was about to look for Leo, “I’ve already told you that Elizabeth is just my manager. Many aspiring artists would love to have the daughter of the company’s owner take a personal interest in them. Why are you always so suspicious? It’s so annoying! What will you do when I start getting female fans? Will a petty person like you be able to manage it??”
