*Freya*
His lips hovered just above mine, teasing, testing, playing. He knew how badly I wanted to kiss him and he reveled in it. He grinned devilishly, taking in my disheveled state.
My breath hitched as Rafe’s gaze burned into mine, the air crackling with an almost tangible tension. The anticipation of his touch sent shivers down my spine, teasing my senses and igniting a fire within me. Slowly, achingly so, he leaned in, a hunger in his eyes that mirrored my own. His strong, warm hands found their way around my waist, gripping softly but firmly, He pulled my body against his. Heat radiated from him, and his musky scent intoxicated my senses, leaving me dizzy with desire. I needed him so badly!
A soft moan escaped as our lips finally met, a press of warmth and need. Rafe’s lips were everything I wanted and more, we explored each other’s mouths, our tongues dancing a sensual waltz. My fingers found their way up and tangled in his hair, pulling him even closer, not wanting to ever let go. Everything around us melted away, leaving only the two of us lost in the heat of the moment.
My heart pounded in my chest, my breathing erratic as Rafe’s lips trailed along my jawline, planting feverish kisses along my neck, shoulders, sending shivers down my spine. His hands roamed my body, gently pressing my backside, leaving a trail of goosebumps on my skin. Heat pooled between my thighs, and I couldn’t help but grind myself against him, seeking pleasure in his touch.
The passion between us was uncontrollable, the desire insatiable. I felt myself being lifted off the ground, my legs instinctively wrapping around his waist as he pinned me against the wall. Our kisses became more urgent, more demanding, our clothes seeming to be an unbearable barrier between us. With shaky hands, we frantically tore away the fabric that separated us, desperate to feel every inch of each other’s skin.
In this heated frenzy of desire, we stumbled towards the bed, our clothes discarded along the way.
“You’re mine, Freya” he muttered in a rough voice. I moaned in response.
The moment our naked bodies met, we both gasped, our skin slick with sweat, our breaths ragged. Rafe’s eyes locked with mine, a mix of desire, lust, and something else I couldn’t quite place. “I’ve wanted this all day. It was all I could think of,” he whispered hoarsely.
My response was cut off by a moan as he slammed into me, filling me completely, our bodies finally connected as we were always meant to be. “Oh God! Rafe” I screamed
The sensation was indescribable, the feeling of him inside me sending wave after wave of pleasure coursing through my veins. I dug my nails into his back, my nails leaving a trail of red on his tanned skin, but he only groaned in response, his thrusts becoming harder and faster.
“Tell me you you’re mine,” he growled, his voice barely recognizable. “Tell me you will always be mine alone, Freya.”
In that moment, as our bodies became one, I knew it was the truth. “I am yours and yours alone, Rafe.”
The world shattered as we climaxed together, our screams and moans of ecstasy mingling with the crashing waves and the pounding of our hearts.
I slowly opened my eyes, squinting against the morning light through the curtains. As my vision adjusted, I realized Rafe was already awake, propped up on one elbow and gazing at me with a soft smile on his handsome face. My cheeks flushed pink and I quickly glanced away, suddenly feeling very self-conscious.
What had come over me last night? I’d been so bold and willing to give myself over to desire even after making a promise to myself not to. Yet, I couldn’t help that I felt safe, cared for… with Rafe. I snuck a peek back at him from beneath my lashes. He was still watching me, his expression tender yet heated, as if he wanted nothing more than to pick up where we’d left off.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Rafe reached out and gently tucked a stray hair behind my ear. “Because you look so beautiful even when you sleep,” he murmured. “So peaceful and content.”
His words made me blush even deeper. I was just an ordinary girl, nothing special. And he was the Alpha, strongest and most powerful of all the werewolves. What could he possibly see in me?
Yet the way he looked at me, touched me… I was beginning to think that maybe, just maybe, he felt the same way about me as I did about him. I ached to tell him how I was falling for him more each day, but the words stuck in my throat. He was the Alpha, and I didn’t want to overstep. For now I could only hope that he understood how I felt, and pray that one day I’d find the courage to say it.
I thought back to just some moments ago, when Rafe had burst into the sunshades and saved me from certain death at the hands of Alpha Zephyr. I had been terrified, certain my end was near. But then Rafe appeared, his eyes glowing fiercely as he tore the Sunshades apart. He fought with a savagery I’d never seen from him before, as if my life meant everything to him. In that moment, I knew something had changed between us. The way he looked at me after stopping me from being thrown in that awful pit… it was as if he was seeing me for the first time. I wondered if nearly losing me had awakened feelings in him that we’d both been denying.
As we gazed at each other now, the air thick with tension, I ached to kiss him again. But I knew I couldn’t stay here much longer without the other women finding out. They would surely tell Rafe’s Gamma who had his heart set on Rafe marrying Jessica for whatever reasons I had no idea of.
Reluctantly, I murmured, “I should go. Before someone realizes I’m here.”
I started to slide out of the bed, but Rafe grasped my wrist gently. “Don’t go yet,” he pleaded, his eyes burning with desire.
My pulse quickened at his touch. “Your Gamma will be furious if he finds out about… this again,” I whispered.
Rafe shook his head, unconcerned. “I don’t care what my Gamma wants. I’m the Alpha. The only woman I want is you.”
“Right now.” I finished for him. He glared vehemently at me.
“You’re talking like you have plans to leave me. Is that what you want to do?” He asked roughly. He looked thunderous.
“You know that’s not it. This competition, I don’t fit in. we both know it.”
“Precisely why you’re special.” He took my hands in his. “You’re the best thing that has happened to me in a long while Freya Hadid” Tears of longing welled up in my eyes, Rafe kissed them away tenderly, his lips brushing over my cheeks, my eyelids, my nose.
“Don’t cry, my sweet Freya,” he murmured. “I know this won’t be easy, but we’ll find a way to be together. Just be patient with me. Everything will work out fine, I promise.”
My heart swelled with temporary relief and I clung to him, no longer trying to hold back my feelings. We stayed that way for several blissful moments until Rafe pulled back reluctantly.
“As much as I want to stay in this position forever, you should get dressed,” he said with a rueful smile. “I have something extraordinary to show you before the meeting tonight.”
I nodded, my curiosity piqued. What surprise could be in store for me? My mind raced with possibilities as I gathered my clothes.
