Penelope held Warren’s hand and waved goodbye to everyone.
Today was not a day off, and he should have been very busy. But he was worried about Penelope, so he went along with her to ensure she settled in. X University was a well-known domestic university.
It had been established for a hundred years, and the talents that graduated here were outstanding, especially in the news department. The successive principals were all well-known figures, heroes who had made great contributions to the country.
Such a school was the place that students dreamt of, and it was also the place that Penelope had not dared to think about previously. Today, she was standing in front of this university. Red and white doors, low-key and simple temperament, green trees on both sides, leaving a steady and smooth road.
“My heartbeat is so fast, definitely more than two hundred and five.” Holding the suitcase, Penelope closed her eyes and exhaled.
Warren touched the back of her head and said, “Let’s go.”
Penelope nodded.
He dragged her suitcase, and they walked into the school. There were young faces and busy parents everywhere. They lined up to fill out forms and get the training uniforms.
“I heard that this college requires outdoor development training,” Penelope said as she pulled Warren’s sleeve.
“Well, yes,” he replied.
“What will we do?” Penelope asked curiously.
Warren replied, “Your schedule will be strictly arranged. And you may learn something like field survival to become more independent.”
Penelope asked him, “Oh… have you experienced this before?”
“No, there wasn’t outdoor development training at my university,” he replied.
“So how do you know?” Penelope looked at him suspiciously.
Warren looked back at her. “I have searched for information for you. Are you satisfied?”
Penelope was waiting for these words. She held his arm happily like a little squirrel who had a cheek full of nuts. “I can’t be more satisfied.”
“Please step forward,” the boy responsible for the training uniform yelled.
“Okay,” Penelope let go of Warren’s arm and rushed forward.
The boy blushed and asked, “What size of shoes do you wear?”
“6. 5,” Penelope answered with a smile.
“Oh, okay.” The boy turned to get the shoes.
Penelope took the shoes and flipped them over to inspect them. Warren pulled her aside, preventing her from blocking the people behind her.
“The quality of this shoe is not good,” she said.
Warren told her, “You don’t have to wear them for a long time. After the training, you can throw them out.”
“So waste them?” she asked.
“Then you tell me, on what kind of occasion can you wear these shoes?” Warren questioned her.
Penelope touched her chin and thought for a moment. She nodded and decided they should be thrown out.
She got books and a series of daily necessities following her supply list. Then she looked for her dormitory. “The third floor is very low,” she chirped. The assistant and Warren were carrying her suitcases behind her.
She carried a small bag and walked in front excitedly.
“306… here.” Penelope stopped and looked up at the dorm number on the door.
There was just a girl passing by. She watched her coming in and asked, “Are you also in 306?”
“Yes.”
“I am also in 306. I’m Bella Lee. Where is your luggage?”
Bella raised her glasses a bit and glanced behind her as Penelope said, “At the back.”
Warren and his assistant arrived. Bella looked at the things they were carrying, and then she looked at the new classmate who was empty-handed. Bella believed right away that this was a spoiled young lady.
Warren said, “Nice to meet you, Bella. This is Penelope, and she has a little difficulty with facial recognition. If she bothers you in the future, please excuse her.”
Bella looked at the man who stood before her, speaking to her in a gentle tone. She almost blacked out; he was so handsome.
“Face recognition difficulty…” Bella turned to look at Penelope. “Is that face blindness?”
Penelope smirked, saying, “You can also say that.”
Bella nodded and said, “Come in, you can sleep in the bed next to me.”
What did the university bedroom look like? It was a small room with four beds, each with a table beside it. A closet was next to the table, and there was also a balcony and a bathroom.
“I like it here.” Penelope stood on the balcony and spread her arms in a good mood.
Warren said, “Four people, it is not very difficult to remember. There shouldn’t be big mistakes.”
Penelope turned her head. “You look down at me. I have already remembered Bella Lee.”
“What are her characteristics?” Warren asked.
“She wears glasses, Warren,” Penelope proudly bypassed him and strode inside. Then she found the other two new roommates had also arrived, and both of them were wearing glasses. Three girls stood in front of her, all wearing the same black glasses. Penelope’s eyes were like looking at three identical apples.
Now, she was asked to pick out the apple she had just touched. ‘This is difficult,’ she thought.
“She has face blindness, and everyone should have some tolerance,” Bella explained to her other two roommates.
“Face blindness? It’s my first time meeting such a girl!” one of them seemed very curious.
“You think we are ambiguous or difficult to identify?” asked the other.
Penelope was stunned momentarily and said, “It is difficult to identify.”
The three people breathed a sigh of relief. “That is fine,” they agreed.
“Where is the ‘fine’ on it?” Penelope wondered.
When she settled down, Warren left and said that he would pick her up at night.
After he left, Penelope was preparing to go to bed to feel it; however, one of the girls, called Linda, said to her, “Let’s have a chat.” She smiled and looked at her.
“Oh, okay. I don’t know what to discuss, but I’m not single anymore like you girls,” Penelope explained as she sat down on the chair.
“What were you talking about?” Three pairs of bright eyes stared at her.
Penelope touched her face uncomfortably. “Though I am a little older than you guys, you don’t have to feel pity for me.”
