Chapter 86: Have You Vented?

Penelope moved her waist, feeling a little uncomfortable. “So, can you put me down?”
“Not yet.”
“Why?”
“It is you who set the fire. Are you not responsible for putting it out?” He rolled over and pressed her under his body. Then he reached out to pick up her chin.
Penelope closed her eyes. If one day she would die, she would die because of her bad mouth.
“Warren… do you know why a roadster can’t be used as a tractor?”
“In case of severe attrition.”
“Yes. We should develop a sustainable relationship. You let me go first. I will recover and cooperate with you in a few days, okay?” She begged and almost cried out.
Although she used to be a “God of War” in bed before, after having sex with Warren twice, she completely surrendered.
He said, “Your analogy is improper.”
“What?”
“Why did you compare yourself to a roadster? You are obviously a flower.” His fingers crossed her face and landed on her collarbone.
“Flower? Right, right, you have to take care of flowers…” She said earnestly.
“Flowers should be watered and fertilized, do you know? Only with fertilization can they produce beautiful flowers.” He smiled.
“Oh…” She closed her eyes and snorted.
“You… are deflowering. Are you HUMAN at all?”
He chuckled and kissed her lips.
He had been dry for a long time, and a glass of water was far from enough.
Penelope was always full of bravado in her words. Once it came to the critical moment, she surrendered faster than anyone else.

Warren said when he was looking at the computer, “Did you think that staring at me like that would make me feel bad?”
Penelope narrowed her eyes and stared at him angrily with Chris in her arms. If Warren knew what she was thinking, then he would have gone to touch her forehead to see if her brain still worked.
Penelope said, “If what I delivered were not a child but a little wolf dog, I could pat him on his butt to get revenge on Warren.”
“You want to try again?” He raised his eyebrows.
Penelope walked over with Chris. She reached out to knock on his keyboard at random until the computer crashed.
“Have you vented?” He looked up at her.
Penelope snorted and took Chris out to sunbathe.
Warren looked at her walking posture. Um, she could bear it.
He restarted the computer. The file that took half an hour to type had to be typed again, but he was not angry at all.
“Stupid girl.” Thinking of her, he couldn’t help but chuckle. She looked at him as she sat there, and he forgot what to type. Thus, he just scribbled.
Only after she had left could he finally work in peace of mind.
In the yard, Penelope poked Chris’ nose and said, “When you grow up, don’t bully me. I won’t dare to beat your father, but I will dare to beat you, understand?”
Chris, “…”

As Grace guessed, the old lady had been preparing, and her intentions were coming to life.
She had been absent at public events for a long time, and all kinds of banquets had failed to invite her. This time, she took Kathrine to attend the wedding of a friend’s son, and her attitude was apparent.
Who was Warren Duncan? He was the invisible rich man of the city, and he was the person who had been the leader of the best husband’s list for ten consecutive years. The old lady’s trick not only hit Penelope’s heart but also the hearts of some other young ladies.
The Duncans and the Fosters were the top five powerful families in London, both of them enjoying the same social status. Warren and Kathrine were young and good-looking, and no one could think of something unmatched between them.”
“They were unmatched! They were unmatched everywhere!” Penelope patted the table and stood up.
“Why are you shouting here? Does it make any sense?” Grace looked at her.
Penelope slammed the table again and said, “I am not shouting here. Where can I go?”
“Useless.”
Asher was holding Chris and teasing him with a doll. He watched Chris’s eyeballs, looking around. He smiled and said, “Your son reacted very quickly, but he is not very smart, so he is easily fooled by me.”
Penelope snorted, “Yes. Compared to a twenty-five-year-old man, he is not as good as you.”
Asher paused. “Please don’t use such a sarcastic tone. The sky is not falling.”
“The sky doesn’t fall, but I am an underdog.” Penelope sat down, depressed.
Thinking about Warren’s mother, she didn’t care about fighting against her, but what about Warren? The butler said that Warren had always been filial, and now he had lost his father. Would he allow her to upset his mother?
Plus, she didn’t seem to have the ability to pick on others.
Grace said, “If you really loved Uncle Warren, you should have made up your mind to be with him. You should have fought for him; you couldn’t have been scared like this.”
Asher glared at her, “It’s not a TV series.”
“This is a major event concerning dignity and status. Penelope certainly couldn’t cower.” Grace retorted.
“How did it get to this point? Are you women making a fuss?”
“You men’s sensitivity is too low. You don’t know how to preserve your moral integrity.”
“You mean this is Uncle Warren’s problem?”
“Of course, this is partly his fault. He didn’t deal with his affairs.”
“Exactly!”
Asher and Grace looked at Penelope together. “What did you say?”
Penelope stood up and gritted her teeth. “It was difficult to find Chris’s father, and I’ve fallen in love with him. How can I give up the fruits of victory easily? Never!”
Grace applauded, “Heroine!”
Asher rolled his eyes, saying, “… stupid.”
Warren walked inside, “Who is the fruit?”
“OMG…”
In the bedroom upstairs, Warren asked while changing clothes, “What were you talking about just now?”
“You heard,” Penelope pouted.
“I heard you want to defend the fruits of victory.” He got dressed and walked over.
Penelope blew her hair and rolled her eyes. “I am going to bother someone.”
“Kathrine Foster?”
Penelope turned to stare at him. “You won’t…”
