Warren held her waist tightly. “Don’t be late. Now is a good time for revenge.”
Penelope squinted and reached out to pull him out of the darkness. “Hey, do you think I will be fooled?”
He just didn’t want to take her out, so now he was trying to break his promise.
Penelope led the way hand-in-hand with him. They went out from the small door of the garage. After passing a path of more than ten meters, they saw lights.
“I’m free….” She stretched out and was very comfortable.
A light was on in the front, and there was a car coming.
Warren stretched out his hand and took her in his arms.
“Do you feel cold?” He asked, bowing his head.
Penelope looked up and laughed. She wrapped her hands around his waist and looked up at him. “Cold, I’m so cold.”
In July, one asked the other if she felt cold in the hot summer, and the other answered she was cold.
Fortunately, there was no one on the road. Otherwise, they would be considered to be a pair of ghosts.
He reached out to take a leaf from her head and threw it in the flower bed next to them.
“Why do you still look so well-dressed?” She asked him while she was touching her head to look for the leaves.
Warren said helplessly, “Don’t walk through the small forest next time. I am afraid that there are snakes.”
“Have you ever eaten rat meat?” She asked the question casually.
Warren’s brain ran fast. He quickly reached out to cover her mouth and took her to the main road.
“Ummm…”
She can stop talking about the details. Don’t deprive her of the right to breathe!

The two walked in the summer night. The bustling crowd on the road, the street lights, it all felt like scenery from a movie specially crafted for them.
She had delivered the baby just a few weeks ago, and her belly hadn’t fully recovered. But she looked like a beautiful young girl in her white T-shirt and blue jeans.
Pedestrians on the road frequently turned back, and Penelope leaned toward Warren.
He held her waist and asked with a smile, “Since when are you afraid of being seen by others?”
“Are they staring at my little belly?” Penelope looked back secretly and noticed that many people avoided her gaze. She felt extremely self-conscious about her body, so she always thought they were looking at her belly.
“Probably.” He nodded, agreeing with her speculation.
Penelope wanted to cry. She had to hold his arm and try to hide her belly behind him.
Warren finally felt comfortable.
They wandered around and looked for a place to eat some snacks. Warren noticed that Penelope frequently glanced at the fast-food restaurants on the street, so he brought her into a fish soup shop.
“Just order what you like.” He handed the menu to her.
Penelope looked at the pictures on the menu and felt hungry.
The sour fish soup with pieces of fresh meat and vegetables looked extremely delicious.
Warren ordered a pot of tea and helped her pick up the meat while sipping his tea. He didn’t eat much himself.
The sour soup appeared clear but had a spicy and refreshing taste. Penelope took a bite and couldn’t stop using her spoon.
“You should try it. It’s really delicious,” she said as she held a piece of fish in front of his eyes.
“I know it’s delicious. Just eat slowly and don’t choke on a fishbone,” he replied, removing a fishbone and placing the fish back on her plate.
“You’re so noble, it’s making me nervous,” Penelope said as she ate another fish bite.
Using the word “noble” here… Did she realize how many words she’s been misusing?
“Did I get it wrong again?”
“You caught that one.”
Penelope bit her spoon and said, “You can’t blame me. I wasn’t well-educated.”
“If you go to school, you should study hard. In the future, don’t send bad messages to Chris,” Warren said as he placed some hot cabbage on her plate.
“No. Chris has your genes; he will never be as stupid as I am,” she replied with a smile, rubbing her head as if she had already seen a genius son.
He smiled and accepted her praise.
When it came to this topic, Penelope put down her fork and folded her arms on the table. She said, “I’ve been thinking for a long time. I know what I want to study.”
“Tell me.”
“Literature.”
“…”
Penelope looked at him seriously.
He asked, “Do you know what you want to study in literature?”
“I have learned about it online, mainly contemporary literature, ancient literature, as well as knowledge of foreign literature and history,” Penelope said.
“Do you know the gap between you and others?” he asked.
Because she grew up abroad, her environment was not conducive to her understanding of this knowledge.
“I know. It’s big,” she admitted.
Warren continued, “You are good at dancing and singing. You have a foundation for drawing. Why do you want to choose Literature?”
Penelope sat with her chin on both fists and said, “I kind of have an obsession.”
Her body was filled with the blood of the UK. She had an unshakable curiosity about this mysterious nation. She wanted to know how people there lived and what unforgettable things had happened in that land. She wanted to know what kind of motherland her mother had given up.
The people around her couldn’t answer these questions, so she had to find out for herself.

They returned the same way they had come. When they passed through the grove, it was silent. He reached out for her, and she was almost scared to death.
“What are you doing?” She asked, lowering her voice.
Warren forced her back a few steps. She fell against a tree without warning. She looked at him, puzzled. “The moonlight rises, so the wolf transforms?”
He hugged her tightly and said, “I’ve wanted to tell you something for a long time.”
“Three words?” She asked with a smile.
He bowed his head to pinch her chin and said, “I forgot to tell you that you have always been a very attractive woman.”
