Kathrine had not contacted Warren since he appeared in the show and then left with Penelope.
She also had a conjecture in her heart. Did he like Penelope? After all, his unusualness would be explained if he did.
Even though she had feelings for Warren, Penelope had been hesitant. Was it really normal for her, who claimed to be his nephew’s girlfriend, to be living with him?
But when Warren asked her to go out again, all her reservations vanished, and she could no longer dwell on these concerns.
Kathrine was extremely happy, while Penelope felt terribly depressed.
He was about to ask Kathrine to go out while they were watching TV in the living room. He took out his phone and dialed while she pointed at the TV and laughed, seemingly unaware of his intentions.
That was until she heard what he said.
“Are you going out on a date?” She looked at him curiously.
“After talking to you, I think she’s not bad.”
Crunch… Pecans met her teeth.
“I said it?”
“You said it.” He put his phone away and stood up.
Penelope looked up at him. “Are you going out now? It’s only three o’clock.”
How long could they spend together? Her jealousy was overwhelming.
“No, I’m not. I’m just going upstairs to choose my clothes for dinner.” He walked past her, and Penelope sat back subconsciously.
He climbed the stairs and turned to ask her, “If you get bored, you can help me pick.”
Penelope immediately turned her attention to the TV, waving a hand dismissively. “I’m busy. You can decide on your own.”
The footsteps grew more distant. She slowly turned her head to gaze toward his room.
Crunch… the pecans crumbled within her mouth, almost as if they were the enemy’s body being crushed.
“Pick clothes… hum!”
Penelope tossed the snack into her mouth sharply.
Meanwhile, Warren stood in the cloakroom, gripping his mobile phone tightly. He regretted his impulsive decision.
No matter how frustrated he was, he couldn’t involve a third person in this.
He rubbed his forehead. This kind of chaos was, in fact, caused by Penelope.
“Hey, Phillip. Can you please help me arrange a meeting with Kathrine?” He called Phillip, hoping to unload some of the burden.
Phillip refused immediately. His reason was simple. He had his own personal life and didn’t want to be his brother’s fire extinguisher.
Warren argued, “You broke up with Olivia. What personal life do you have?”
“Oh, I’ve actually fallen in love with my job lately, trying to increase efficiency for the company,” Phillip replied as he continued to change TV channels with the remote control. “I’m not like our boss, who’s completely immersed in love.”
Warren was left speechless.
“By the way, you know you’re going to Japan next week?” Phillip asked.
“Yes.”
“I’ll come with you, and we can have your secretary arrange for an extra ticket.”
“You can order it yourself. My secretary is quite busy,” the resentful elder brother abruptly hung up, ignoring his younger brother’s reasonable request.
Phillip thought, ‘Can’t he call the secretary himself? Hmph!’
There was a knock on the cloakroom door. Warren put on a white coat. “Come in, please.”
Penelope pushed open the door and spoke with her hands behind her back, “I’ve been thinking a bit. Let me help you. After all, you’ve helped me a lot…”
“Are you trying to repay me?” Warren asked, arms folded across his chest.
Penelope nibbled on her finger nervously. “No, I’ll ask Asher to repay you.”
He turned around, took off his coat, and tossed it onto the sofa.
“Is that really okay?” Penelope continued to ask.
He responded, “Is he you? Can he completely replace you?”
“No.”
“That’s it. Can’t you repay on your own?” He turned back and retrieved a camel coat.
Penelope replied, “How can I repay you? I’m broke.”
He took off his coat and tossed it aside, turning to face her.
Her eyes were pure and bewildered as if she were genuinely pondering how to repay him without any ulterior motives.
Warren thought it wasn’t amusing to tease her.
“Forget it, I promised Asher.” He placed his hands on both sides, revealing the exquisite watch on his wrist. At this moment, the sunlight streamed in through the window, casting a hazy glow over everything, with only the dust particles standing out clearly.
Penelope swallowed. What a handsome man he was!
Warren noticed that she was watching him. He couldn’t help but straighten his back, even though he wasn’t sure what this subconscious action was for.
Penelope averted her gaze and quickly scanned the clothes hanging in the closet. Then she retrieved an unbuttoned black coat. She smiled with satisfaction and presented it to him. “Try this one. You look very handsome in black.”

Kathrine, noticing a smile on his face, couldn’t help but ask him, “Did something good happen?”
Warren picked up his glass and gestured, “Thank you for looking so beautiful on our date.”
“My pleasure,” Kathrine replied with a bright smile.
Warren rubbed his glass one-handedly, watching her smile.
She couldn’t hide her happiness.
He thought that Kathrine would have been a great fit for him if Penelope weren’t in the picture.
However, in matters of love, timing is everything.

Penelope scratched her head in regret. Why had she helped him dress up so well?
Why?
Clearly, there had been a chance to make him look awkward. Why hadn’t she restrained herself… Failure, failure!
She rampaged through the house, leaving her regretful footprints upstairs and downstairs.
Dressing up her beloved man as handsomely as she could and sending him to another woman, she was probably the first person in the world to do such a thing.
But… seeing him so dazzlingly handsome, like God’s most perfect creation, how could she deface it with graffiti?
She sat down next to the railing, a helpless smile playing on her lips. Despite her regrets, she felt grateful that he always maintained a flawless appearance whenever he appeared before her.
Forget it. He was happy. Penelope stood up and went upstairs to sleep.
