Chapter 33: Follow Me

Penelope stood in front of the museum and pointed to the “closed” sign. She said, “Did you expect this?”
“Do you think I’m you?” He smiled and went ahead.
The guard came out from the side and gave Warren a key-like thing. He smiled and said, “The curator said you could only stay for two hours. Please watch the time.”
Warren nodded and turned to look at Penelope. He beckoned her, “Follow me.”
“Great!” said Penelope excitedly and followed him.
Warren walked in front of her, and Penelope winced behind. She just watched a ghost movie an hour ago. Now, she is in this empty place that evoked some of her memories.
Warren halted his pace.
“We’re here?” asked Penelope.
Warren opened the door with the key. He turned sideways to let Penelope go first. “Heh heh, you go ahead.” She was close to him and refused to go forward.
This is an empty lecture theater. It’s really hard to see anything with the windows being curtained. He walked onto the platform and bent over to fiddle with things.
Penelope followed him and looked at the desk on tiptoes.
“Go sit down,” said Warren.
“Okay.” Penelope looked around and took out her mobile phone. She turned on the flashlight to find her way.
Suddenly, a few lights flash, and the entire classroom is lit up.
Penelope looked up, and the dark roof became a galaxy with shining stars.
She seems to be in space, and the galaxy on top of her head keeps spinning, trying to suck her in.
Warren stood on the platform with a remote control in his hand. When he pressed the button, the stars changed formation, and several lines appeared. The lines are connected and slowly become a shape.
“I knew it! This is the Ursa Major constellation!” Penelope pointed to the top of her head and said in surprise.
Warren gently smiled and pressed again.
The sky above her head became darkness. Penelope turned to call him and said, “Hey..”
Whoosh! A meteor shot. Before she could blame him, it immediately caught her attention.
As if on cue, groups of meteors fly in front of her and present a parabola in the air.
Like the ballet dancer’s take-off action, the arms show their strength and elegance.
What a shocking scene! She is actually there.
“Happy birthday.”
The low-pitched male voice sounded.
She turned back and looked at him, surprised, “Asher told me today is your birthday. He asked me to say happy birthday to you.” He stood on the steps with his hands behind him. He is so handsome, which is more shocking than the eye-catching starry sky.
“How did you…” she staggered.
He raised his hand and looked at his watch. “One minute past twelve o’clock, it’s right on time.”
Penelope stared at him silently. She murmured to herself, “It is not just right on time. It’s perfect.”
Gosh, this man prepared all these things for her. She is destined to remember him forever.

Warren and Phillip drank together again. But this time, Philip wasn’t the one who needed a drink.
Although the two were half-brothers, their relationship was much better than that of full brothers.
Phillip’s feelings for Warren were very complex. Awe, gratitude, intimacy… They could not be simply summarized.
His understanding of Warren probably ranked in the top three. So, at that time, he knew a little about what was happening in his mind.
“Penelope was a good girl. It seemed that Asher had good taste.” Phillip looked at his brother with a glass of wine, and the tentative meaning was even stronger.
Warren drank silently, ignoring him.
“Bro, before Jessie died, you promised to take care of her two children.” You couldn’t fall in love with your nephew’s girlfriend!
Jessie hadn’t entrusted her young children to her parents. At that time, she held Warren’s hands and asked him to take care of her children so that they wouldn’t go astray or suffer.
He looked up and drank the whiskey in the glass.
If it hadn’t been for Asher, he wouldn’t have been so depressed.
“Bro, you should have understood what was more important.” He took his hands on his lap and looked at Warren seriously. He said, “What you wanted was doomed to be fruitless. Let yourself feel better and let them be happy. Isn’t that the best outcome?”
Warren put down the glass of ice, leaned back, and closed his eyes.
“I see,” he reached out and rubbed his eyebrows.
“It’s also a good thing that Penelope couldn’t remember you. You said it would spare you some trouble.”
Warren opened his eyes. Trouble… But he hadn’t considered it a problem at that moment.
Her smiles had been imprinted in his mind, and she had been charming and lovely. Even her carelessness had become a shining point, leaving him feeling helpless yet happy.
“Bro, they are family,” Phillip couldn’t bear to watch him suffer. He could only lance this boil and help him heal.
Warren said, “I know, that’s why I haven’t done anything.”
He hadn’t cared about her, hadn’t taken the initiative to approach her, and hadn’t told her… that he had fallen in love with her.
Penelope walked into the yard with Ross, both of them displaying a similar expression of alertness and calculated movements as they listened to the sounds outside.
At ten o’clock at night, there was still no sign of a car outside. Penelope felt disappointed and returned to the room with Ross.
She should have been content that he had spent the night with her. How could she constantly expect him to stay with her?
Penelope sighed. To ease her concerns, she took out her phone and called Asher.
“When will you be back?!”
Asher was confused and replied, “Next month.”
“Hurry up, I can’t continue the game!”
“What happened? Did they find you out?” Asher stood up instantly.
Penelope touched her stomach and lied naturally, “Maybe. I think your uncle is beginning to have doubts. Then I’ll be in trouble. What if I can’t convince them?”
“My uncle can be quite difficult to handle. What about my grandmother? Does she curse you?”
“I met her once. She didn’t like me.”
Asher sighed. “Please help me until the end. You must at least help me deal with my grandmother.”
“I’m not helping you? The child in my stomach and I are both in this together.”
“Alas, please just wait another half a month. I’ll be back soon.”
“Hurry up, I can’t endure it…”
