Author POV
FLASHBACK contd.

Trinity could feel her entire body heating up from the inside.
What was going on?
How did her little advances get out of the way for Lisa to notice their great deal?
If Hardy were to find out about it, He’d get disgusted and throw her out of his domain.
Her quietness and shame caused Lisa to burst out laughing.
“Look at you. I’ve got you right where I wanted.”
Trinity snapped back to reality and shook her head.
“I believe you’re mistaken.”
“Mistaken?” Lisa laughed.
“The only mistake here is you denying it.”
Trinity gently walked out of bed and shook her head.
“You are deeply mistaken. And to have my beauty sleep. I would love it if you left.
“So now you’re throwing me out?” Lisa scoffed.
“I’m sorry.” Was the only thing Trinity said.
And after a few gazes of disbelief, Lisa walked out of the room.

Hardy’s wedding to Lisa was a whirlwind of excitement, the talk of the town. Everyone wanted to be in Lisa’s shoes, wishing they could understand the allure of being a Bensimon.
But for Trinity, the celebrations were tinged with a sense of unease. She couldn’t shake off a nagging feeling of pity for Hardy, and an inexplicable confusion whenever she thought of Lisa.
Amidst the glittering ballrooms and champagne toasts, Trinity found herself adrift in a sea of conflicting emotions.
Lisa’s confession had upended Trinity’s world, the revelation igniting a firestorm of emotions that refused to die down.
Lisa had extended a hand of acceptance and understanding, wanting their divergent desires to coexist harmoniously.
But Trinity was trapped in a dilemma, her loyalty to Hardy at war with her longing for Lisa.
She could not betray Hardy, her deal to him was unbreakable.
As the days blurred into one another, Trinity felt her yearning for Lisa who become a distant whisper, fated to be submerged beneath the waves of duty and devotion.
Trinity was tormented by the knowledge that Lisa’s motives in marrying Hardy were far from altruistic. She wanted to reveal the truth to Hardy, to unmask Lisa’s deception and protect him from further heartbreak. Yet, Trinity knew that such a revelation would fall on deaf ears, Hardy’s love for Lisa blinding him to any transgressions she might have committed.
The mere mention of such allegations would brand Trinity as a troublemaker, sowing discord and discord in Hardy’s tranquil life. In this delicate balancing act, she was trapped between loyalty and honesty, her own heart in tatters from this tangled web of secrets.

Two months after their wedding, on a frigid Thursday night, after returning from the white Aleo house,.
Lisa met Trinity in her room, changing her bed sheets and pillowcases.
Neither of them said a word.
They haven’t talked about that night since forever, and Trinity wouldn’t dare.
She had stayed away from Lisa more than she could ever have.
Other maids had washed and dressed Lisa, making her heavy work slack greatly.
It had angered Lisa heavily that she had made false and primitive accusations against the maids to get them fired to get Trinity back around her domain. But Trinity was too smart for that.
But now I am caught in her room. Which felt more like an encounter.
Lisa takes a seat on the edge of her bed.
After a dead-end silence, Trinity decided to break the silence.
“How was the meeting today?”
“Oh, you know. The usual. Anne being annoying as usual,” Lisa muffled lightly. “Why is the house empty?”
“Hardy and Theo are out, and most of the maids are on vacation.”
“Vacation?” Lisa asked.
“Yeah.” Trinity nodded.
“I’m exhausted, Trinity. Help me prepare a bath.”
Trinity didn’t say no and just went on to prepare Lisa’s bath before going away.

After freshening up, Lisa walked into the small of Trinity’s room.
“Why are you here?” Trinity asked, dropping the clothes she was folding.
“Why else would I be here?” Lisa scoffed. “The house is empty, and there’s nothing else to do.”
“Well, you’ll bore yourself watching me do more laundry.”
“That’s okay” Lisa took a seat on her bed.

The silence between them was excruciating enough to drive one insane. And after folding the laundry,.
Trinity was about to leave the room when Lisa caught her by her arm.
“Don’t fight it,” Lisa said.
“And what exactly am I fighting?” Trinity turned to look at her.
“Me?” Lisa got on her feet, and her tall figure made Trinity feel vulnerable, despite being the older one.
“You shouldn’t do this,” Trinity warned, her warm eyes begging for two things at the same time.
“You say that, but it feels like you don’t mean it.” Lisa shook her head.
Trinity looked at the woman in front of her; she was very pretty and irresistible, but she couldn’t do that to herself, to Hardy, or to herself.
Her senses and thoughts immediately disappeared when Lisa leaned down to kiss her.
A soft kiss that felt like heaven on earth.
She had never loved before; the first man she thought she liked was the one who made her realise she was interested in women. She had never really tried to explore her new-found desire ever since she started working under Bensimon.
And now Boss’ wife was making her new-found desire and passion come to an end.
She couldn’t believe it. She had always thought she would age away without being loved or touched.
She wanted it to stop; she didn’t want this mistake happening between them to become a thing. But yet, she couldn’t stop.
She wanted it, too.
To a kiss that led to something else and something worse that felt really good.
Lisa and Trinity laid on the small bed and watched nothing but the ceiling fan. And after sex feeling, that made Trinity feel like crap.
She wanted to disappear badly, but she didn’t regret what she had done with Lisa.
Lisa seemed thrilled and let the words escape her lips.
“Well, that was fun,” she giggled.
Trinity immediately sat up and pulled the blanket to cover her body.
“We can’t speak about this or do this anymore.” Trinity pleaded.
“Why? We had fun,” Lisa scoffed.
“Fun? If anyone finds out, If this gets to Hardy, it’s risky for me. I can’t; this is too much. We can’t let this happen again, and we can’t let anyone else find out about it. I am very serious about this, Lisa; please don’t give me that look.” Trinity looked genuinely worried.
“Fine. But why are you whispering? We’re like the only ones at home.” Lisa looked unfazed.
“You never know. Can you please leave now?”
Lisa sighed and carefully picked up her clothes to put them on.
As she got close to the door to leave, she pushed and turned back to Trinity, who looked like she had committed the greatest sin ever.
“Do you regret this?” Lisa asked as she slightly opened the door.
Trinity wanted to say yes. She wanted to cuss and tell Lisa she regretted every second of it. The feeling of Lisa’s warm lips on her skin, her embrace, the feeling. She wanted to scream out loud about how she regretted it and how she never wanted to experience something as bitter as that again.
But she would be lying to herself-the self she had kept hidden for too long.
“No.” Trinity breathed.
Lisa hid her sly smile before nodding and exiting the room.
That night, Trinity had spent all night awake. What had she done?
It didn’t feel right at all.

They say that when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, but sometimes you might not be able to make lemonades as it gives you the most sour taste you could ever imagine.
Trinity had meant to stay away from Lisa; she would serve Lisa as her boss’ wife, but she stayed away from her to shut down her desires. But staying away felt impossible.
In front of Hardy, Lisa was an entirely different person. But with Trinity, she was another person. And it bothered Trinity greatly.
Trinity questioned her for staying away from Lisa after they had passionate sex about nine times in three months.
The part of the stop they had talked about had completely shattered. During Lisa’s bath, during laundry, and when the house was empty,.
Lisa and Trinity buried their souls and bodies in each other’s, enjoying the pleasure and love they gave each other.
Trinity wanted it to end, but it would be crazy to actually say it. She was having the best time of her life.

Lisa was confirmed pregnant one day after becoming nauseated and throwing up around the house.
The news was exciting and terrible for Trinity. But she had to pretend she was overly excited.
The one over the moon was Hardy. His mood was spirited into what was after happiness, and his gestures were even guaranteed; he was now beyond the moon.

Lisa had secretly met Trinity that night, panic written all over her face.
“I can’t do this… This pregnancy was a mistake. I never planned for a child.”
“This wasn’t a mistake; it’s a good thing, and you’ll get to understand soon.”
Trinity was stern with her words.
Lisa’s eyes were brimming with tears.
“You don’t understand. I don’t want to have his child; I don’t even want to live in his big world anymore. I am sick of everyone. I freaking hate his best friend Theodore, who hates me. I hate these women at the Ale-o house who make me feel small every damn time. I know I wanted to secure my future with his money. But this doesn’t cut it out for it. I can’t be pregnant!”
Lisa was shaking as she spoke, and seeing how broken she was, Trinity pulled her into a hug.
“It’s okay.” Trinity was calm, patting her back to calm her down too.
“It can’t be okay like this,” Lisa disengaged from the hug and dried her eyes.
“But I can leave. Trinity, we can leave; I already have everything I need. I’ll get you out of this slave-tied contract you have with Bensimon; we can both leave together.
“Are you out of your senses?” Trinity slammed.
“I might be, yeah,” Lisa scoffed.
As tempting, ensuring, and beautiful as Lisa’s offer had felt and sounded to Trinity’s ear, Healing her fragile heart. She couldn’t do it, not in a thousand years.
Even if she wanted to so badly. She couldn’t.
“You’ll stay here. You’re married to him; you can’t do this to Hardy.” Trinity shook her head.
“But I love ‘you.”.
The words did take Trinity by surprise, but she shook her head.
“Please Trinity. Just leave with me. We can abort this child and-
“Whatever we had was just a passing flame. You do not love me, and you never will. A baby is a beautiful thing, and you’ll have yours with Hardy; you’re not going anywhere, and neither am I.”
Her own words felt like a knife to her skin.
Lisa cried, “You can’t do this to me.”
“I’m sorry,” Trinity sniffed, hating how hot her eyes were getting.
“I want to leave with you.”
“I can’t let you leave at all. Please, Lisa” Trinity sniffed.
