Theodore lips softly pressesd into a warm smile that said so much.
“Well I guess I better go out… since the zipper is like..”
He stopped talking.
I nodded in agreement and said, “Yeah.”
I attempted a smile and said, “Thanks again with the zipper.”
My stomach was experiencing that strange sensation once more, but I made a conscious effort to resist it.
Theodore wanted to leave, anyone could tell, he was standing in front of me and wasn’t trying..
Don’t make this weird and difficult Theodore.
When I snickered, “So when are you going to leave,” it seemed as though his senses had suddenly opened up because he smiled apologetic before leaving the room.
I closed the door while controlling my breathing by holding my chest.
Okay, so why do I feign sex so easily around these guys?
It was Hardy at first, and now it’s his freaking bodyguard.
I am aware that many pregnant women experience a surge in libido during the first and second trimesters, but if this is the case, then it should pass quickly and not be causing me any anxiety at all.
Never did I agree to be here. My ex-boyfriend and I only did it once, and afterward I swore I would never do it again because it was just as horrible as I remembered it being and I still wasn’t satisfied.
I didn’t ask for this baby, I didn’t ask for Theodore to be so nosy caring, all up in my business…
There was never a time when I wanted this.
I never asked for any of this!
I pushed everything aside and took the warmest bath ever; the bathroom was spotless, and I soaked for about an hour.
It was strange that everything still resembled the room in the villa. The exact same place where I kept my brushes and every other item was utilized for storage here.
It was strange, but I liked it because it made everything simpler.
Dressed in a nightgown and having dressed myself for the first time in ages, I laid on the queen-size bed and stared at the ceiling.
I heaved a number of sighs while attempting to imagine happy scenarios, but my mind was blank.
I wasn’t sleepy.
I opened the door to the room and stuck my head out to attract Theodore’s attention.
As soon as he saw me, he discarded the cigarettes he had in his mouth.
“It’s not like I’m going to bite.” I scoffed.
“You smoke?”
“No, I don’t mind. And besides I’m pregnant” I reminded him with a quirky smile.
He nodded, like he should be punished.
“So…? What do you want.” He asked.
I found myself leaving the door open, and sitting on the warm rugged floor.
I was bored to death, and thank goodness Theodore is not as hostile as Hardy.
Seeing me on the floor, Theodore sighed and slowly sat on the floor too, my eyes watching his heavy boots as he plopped down on the floor.
“What’s wrong?” He asked.
I shook my head immediately.
“Oh nothing,”
“Well I did manage to impress some lady tonight and I know Hardy’s like fully against it, but she invited me to some white Ale-o house, and have an idea what that means?”
“Some lady? Let me guess, she’s blonde, tall-
“How did you know?” I interrupted.
“Just a guess, but that’s a nice catch.” Theodore nodded.
Not understanding him, I shook my head. “Just tell me what an Ale-o house is, a white one at that.”
“It’s like the biggest gazebo in town, where the most expensive women gather to talk about plants or drink tea, or maybe show off who’s prettier, or got the wealthiest husband,”
I laughed, “You’re joking.”
Theodore shrugged.
“If you’re ever invited just consider yourself a big deal,”
“Wow, it’s kind of petty though,” I shook my head.
“It’s not, well maybe it is, but it’s like, if you’ve been wanting something impossible, meeting the women at Ale-o is becoming impossible to possible, so Hardy’s been looking for a way to get close to…
Theodore paused.
“Well I can’t tell you much details, but I think getting an invite to the White Ale-o house really did impress Hardy tonight,” Theodore nodded.
“If he wanted that, then why did he tell Me to keep quiet the entire night?” I scoffed, and Theodore smiled.
“He basically wanted both, Hardy has never been good with words,”
“Tch,” I rolled my eyes.
We both remained quiet and I found myself breathing a lot calmer than usual, this place, the air, the space, the freedom, it just felt perfect.
And it suddenly felt like I had nothing to worry about, it felt better than the life I was living.
The sudden dull but noticeable pain that moved right on the right side of my stomach, brought my senses back to life that I have a lot to worry about.
And the first thing is that I was actually pregnant.
My wince brought Theodore close to me, as his eyes read nothing but worry as he asked me.
“Are you okay?”
I nodded, as my hand slowly left my stomach as the pain vanished.
“Should we go to a hospital?” Theodore asked.
“It’s okay,” I sighed. “I know it is.”
“Okay good, how about you call it a night and go to bed.” Theodore began, helping me get on my feet.
“Why are you scared?” I laughed, as I walked with him back into the room.
“Well, kind of” He shrugged and I laughed.
“Well thanks” I said, noticing his grip was still on my arm.
“Sure,” He added, never making an effort to leave.
Does he?…
It’s not what I think, is it?
“Well…” I raised my arm to prove to him he was still holding it.
“Oh sorry,” He laughed as he let go of it.
I felt my insides quiver at that moment.
Theodore was finally leaving, but I wasn’t happy about it.
What do I want then?
He was halfway out the door, when I called him back.
“Theo.”
He turned swiftly, waiting for my answer.
But I called my head uncomfortably before walking up to him.
Oh screw this.
I almost tripped on my way to Theodore, but I kept my balance by wrapping my arms around his shoulder and pressing my lips against his.
He was quite tall, so I had to stay on my toes to avoid falling.
Theodore, who was unfazed by my kiss approach and immediately reciprocated, saw how I was struggling and immediately circled his hand around my waist, lifting me up from the ground.
