I was more than perplexed as I slowly rose to my feet.
“Theodore..? What exactly are you doing here?” I inquired, oblivious to the fact that I had just had a wild almost-sex dream about Hardy.
“To take you away, come on. We have to leave, or else we’re going to be late”
My eyes widened in shock.
Was it finally happening?
Leave, as in escape.?
I desperately wanted to clarify, but Theodore shook his head and whispered, as if he had read my mind. “Hardy’s order.”
I sighed as I put my feet in the slides next to the bed, and Theodore grabbed my hand and pulled me carefully toward the door.
What could possibly be wrong?
“What’s happening?” As we walked down the long, never-ending hall, I asked.
“Really, nothing.” Theodore answered, and it was clear that he heard the worry in my voice.
“Theo.” I called.
“Nothing, okay! It’s nothing to be worried about. You’re just changing location.” He said.
Changing location…
“Of course, like the parcel I am.” I sighed.
“You’re not a parcel.
Theodore sighed in return, still pulling to wherever.
“Sure, it’s sounds really believable when you say it.” I rolled my eyes.
He paused in his tracks, and so I had to too, and slowly, he turned to me.
“You’re not a parcel.” He said, in a more serious way and tone. Like that was going to change the fact that I was, and would be nothing more to Hardy.
“Well thanks.” I forced a smile.
Our walk began again and before I knew it, I was standing outside, outside the villa where I haven’t been before and before Theodore and I was in a big private jet that looked fine as hell with the name ‘Olive’ written on its body.
I found myself staring hard until Theodore called my name and I also found out that my jaw was basically touching the floor.
I pursed my lips together and raised a brow at him.
He beckoned his head towards a maid standing on my side.
I turned to her, and my eyes fell to the tray in her hand, which contained a bottle of water and two pink pills.
I stared back and forth at her and Theodore before asking
“Why?”
“For the Journey, it’s a stress-relief pill,” The maid smiled.
“Stress-relief pill, okay that doesn’t even sound believable.” I scoffed, glaring at her.
The maid looked like she was about to cry
“It’s Master’s order, please I have no say in this.”
I turned to Theodore. “Are you guys planning to drug-kill me?”
He sighed, “Please no. Hardy called for this, he wouldn’t do anything to harm you”
“Right,” I scoffed, yet again.
I took the pills and surprisingly emptied the bottled water.
“There…” I breathed out a sigh. “If anything happens to me. I hope Hardy rots in hell.”
The maid almost smiled at the comment, but made her way back into the villa before I could catch more of her smiles.
I got seated in the jet, with Theodore beside me, my vision was starting to get fuzzy and I was also getting sleepy and I knew right away it was those pills.
I did know a lot of seat belts were placed around my body, and I caught a glimpse of Theodore holding my hand and asking if I was okay, before I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up to the sounds of footsteps hitting the surface of a wooden clean squeaky floor, and immediately the strong smell of roasted turkey with cranberry sauce hit my nose, and my eyes flew open.
I let myself take in the view in front of me as I was nothing more than a parcel, and I was going to be moving from one place to another despite carrying another human inside me.
Well, no one cares.
So I might as well deal with it.
Moving around, were another set of maids, all unfamiliar and were dressed in blue plain dress.
The room seemed like a hotel room, with not too high walls, well furnished cushions and a bed I believed would be perfect for a newly wedded couple.
A Maid pushed a Room service trolley in front of me, and it contained the turkey I smelled earlier and my mouth watered immediately.
“I’m so sorry ma’am, but It would be great if you can eat this in under ten minutes ma’am.” The maid smiled at me, she looked way too young.
“Sure” I smiled back at her, before she walked away.
Every maid in the room looked so busy, holding dresses, moving shoes, and boxes.
I decided to get busy too and the moment I looked down at the food in front of me, I knew it would be gone in six minutes.
I finished eating in under ten minutes, and I was tossed to a chair beside the bed, where my hair, nails, and face were being done at the same time.
What’s going on?- why am I getting all dolled up?
I planned to ask, but all the maids seemed really fixated on their job, and seemed like they would snob me if I tried to ask. So I kept quiet, knowing at the back of my mind it was Hardy’s doing.
I mean, Who exactly would be wealthy enough to hire such snobbish maids to take care of or dress up a woman they don’t care about.
My hair and face was done within a few minutes and my nails after.
A red silky dress was brought forth in front of me, and my eyes dropped at how gorgeous it looked.
It was plain red, but there was a way the lights would reflect on it, it would give this rainbow shimmering glow, and I loved it.
Why would Hardy waste something so gorgeous on me?
It’s not like I don’t deserve it, but doesn’t he hate me?
“You are so beautiful,” The youngest maid complimented me with the widest grin after I finally wore the dress.
“Thank you” I smiled back, taking in all the compliments.
Indeed, I wouldn’t lie to myself either, I was gorgeous.
Staring at my reflection, I was entirely a different person.
My hair was in the most perfect French twist and two gelled strands of hair fell to each sides of my face, and please, the perfect jewelries that matched the dress, the light makeover on my face, that did so much, and I don’t know what they did to my skin, but there was this shimmer.
Goodness.
Where the hell am I going? I can’t be meeting my demise looking like this.
Each maids started to compliment me after taking in how beautiful I looked, I guess, and I thanked each and everyone of them back, at least they’re more genuine than the one back at the home-The villa, Hardy’s villa.
Each maids started to leave the room, and after the last one handed me a black expensive looking purse, she exited the room too.
“Thank you guys, for leaving me fuckin alone.” I cussed under my breath, ready to go take a seat when the door clicked open and Theodore walked inside.
His steps immediately slowed down and his eyes gave the slowest Blink ever as he gawked at me.
It took him about five seconds before he snapped out of whatever trance he had fallen into, and he nodded at me.
He shut the door behind him, and took a step forward.
“You look ready” He cleared his throat.
“Yeah, now where the fuck am I going?” I asked, my voice low when I cussed.
“A party,” Theodore replied.
“A party?” I scoffed.
“Yeah… Well it’s not really a party. It’s just this thing, you’ll meet with Hardy downstairs, and you’ll just sit with him the entire night, you’ll say nothing. All you have to do is sit there and try to look your best”.
I sighed. “Sure”
There’s no other way to put this than the word ‘use.
“Well I’m his puppet, if it’s a party partner he wants. What choice do I have.” I beamed.
“Please.” Theodore shook his head.
We both remained silent for at least three seconds. It didn’t occur to me that he was about to talk until after I had finished speaking.
“How do I look anyway? What does it look like from your vantage point?” I asked.
To tell you the truth, I had no idea why I asked that question.
It’s possible that I’ve never looked this wonderful before, and for some reason, I wanted everyone to notice me.
Theo beamed in return. “You look amazing, like really”
“Thanks.” I nodded, relieved that I could converse and joke openly with his fine-ass bodyguard despite being under the care of Hardy, a depressed, horrible, wealthy man who doesn’t give a shit about me.
“So… Are you ready to go?” Theodore suddenly looked awkward.
“Um yeah” I nodded frantically.
Theodore’s hands reached for the door knobs until he paused and looked at me like I just swallowed a raccoon.
“What?” I batted my lashes.
“You… you’ve got something on y-yourㅡ
He didn’t let himself finish his words as he let his hand wander at the top of my hair before pulling down something shiny.
“Now did a confetti or whatever this is get into your hair?” He scoffed, in a humorous way.
“You tell me, I’m the victim here.” I added and his smile widened.
I noticed we were both standing close, too close, and suddenly it was someone else looking down at me, cause no way in life would Theodore ever look at me that way.
We were both quiet, staring at each other, until he broke the silence, after realizing I wasn’t ready to break the sudden eye contact.
“So ready to finally go?” He cleared his throat.
“Ready when you are.” I muffled and watched as he opened the door for me to walk out.
What the fuckin hell was that?
