” Urrghh”, I groaned as my eyes opened slightly and I tried to sit up.
” She’s awake sir! she’s awake!”, I heard some ladies shout, their voices diminishing as they ran out.
” What’s all the ruckus about?”, I thought as I opened my eyes, blinking quite a couple of times to clear up my vision. ” Where am I?”, I muttered as I looked around, surprised at how beautiful yet familiar the place looked. Then suddenly I remembered what happened on the way to the grocery store. ” Oh my god, Janet!”, I exclaimed as I hurriedly got off the bed. ” Those men must have taken her”, I muttered as I walked towards the door. Just as I was about to reach out for the doorknob, the door suddenly swung open.
” Oh my god, Isabelle!”, he said as he pulled in into his arms. I was about to struggle but his hug felt so warm. ” I missed you baby, so so much”, he said in a jerky voice as though he was holding himself back from crying. He looked just like the man from my dreams.
” I’m sorry, but who are you?”, I asked politely. Then he broke off the hug and with his hands on my shoulders, stared right into my eyes.
” You mean, you still can’t recognize me, not even a little?”, he asked with a melancholy look in his eyes.
” Your face is familiar, I admit. I’ve seen you in my dreams a lot recently, but I really can’t tell who you are”, I said.
” Humph”, he sighed as he bowed his head in disappointment. ” I’ve got to get you to a hospital”, he said with a new flare in his eyes as he held my hand and began tugging me along. As we were walking, I suddenly remembered Janet again, and yanked my hand out of his.
He turned around and looked at me.
” What’s the matter?,” he asked.
” I don’t have time for this!”, I yelled at him, ” my friend is in danger. She was kidnapped and I’ve gotta find her”, I said. His expression suddenly changed as soon as he heard the word “kidnap”.
” Hold on”, he said as I was about to walk out on him, ” did you just say someone else was kidnapped?”, he asked.
” Yeah, and she’s my friend, so I don’t have time for all these mind games”, I said and began to walk away.
” Wait up”, he said as he ran to catch up, ” I know what I’m about to say may sound weird to you, but I’m your husband, Justin. I came over to the Greenhill county to save you from those men who tried to abduct you. It’s probably the wrong time but I just have to get it off my chest”, he said.
” Stop it!”, I yelled at him, ” what is wrong with you?”, I questioned. ” What do you take me for? an idiot? I know my husband and it’s certainly not you”, I said with my finger pointed rudely at his face.
” You leave me no choice Izzy”, he said and immediately, two huge men in black suit showed up out of nowhere.
” Lock her up in her room”, he ordered. The men quickly grabbed me.
” What are you doing?!”, I yelled at him, ” let me go!”, I said as I struggled to free myself, however futile it seemed.
” It’s for your own good”, he said and then walked away.
” Unhand me, you idiots!”, I yelled while the men dragged me to the room where they would lock me up.

” Excellent!”, I said, ” I’ll come over there soon, okay? Just make sure to keep her safe and comfortable”, I said before hanging up.
” Pheeew!”, I sighed, ” finally, I can rest easy now”, I said as I loosened my tie and reclined in my chair.
” I wonder where the secretary went though”, I thought as I remembered that I didn’t see her by her desk when I came out from my office for a meeting. ” Oh well, it’s not like I’ve got anything much scheduled for today anyway”, I said with a shrug as I spun around in my swivel chair, now happy that Isabelle was back.

” Come on Janet, pick up”, I muttered as I paced back and forth around the room. I was worried sick. Janet had been out since morning and she hadn’t texted or called.
” Where are you? dammit!”, I thought. Then suddenly, the face of the boy she usually goes out with, flashed through my mind.
” That’s it! I gotta find ’em”, I said as I took my jacket and walked out of the suite.

*** Nighttime, Abandoned factory***
I turned off the engine and got out of my car. I hummed quite a bit as I walked towards the entrance of the abandoned factory, swinging the keys around my index finger.
” Sheesh, she’s gonna be so mad that I put her here”, I thought as I looked around at the factory.
” I better call them”, I thought. So I pulled out my phone from my pocket and dialled the number.
” I’m at the factory entrance, where are you guys?”, I asked.
” Just wait a minute, I’m sending a guy over to get you”, he said.
” Alright, I’m waiting”, I replied before hanging up. I stood out here for about five minutes, before the guy came.
” It’s about time, you know?”, I said to him, annoyed that I had to stand so long.
” I’m sorry sir, we had to do it this way for security purposes”, he said as we began to walk to where she was being kept.
” Security purposes?”, I scoffed, ” you guys didn’t even put anyone on sentry duty. What if the cops pulled up on you guys?”, I asked.
” They wouldn’t even suspect here in the first place sir”, he said, ” especially not when, there’s no one in sight when they get here”, he said. ” By not using sentries, we literally conceal our presence”, he added.
” I guess there’s some logic in that”, I said with a nod, as I pondered upon the new tactic.
” We’re here sir”, he said as we got to a door.
” She’s in there?”, I asked.
” Yup, in comfort just as you ordered”, he replied.
So I twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open. The creaking sound it made quickly got her attention.
” Who’s there?”, she asked in a startled voice muffled by the bag on her head, ” let me go!”, she ordered as she kicked around.
” There she is sir”, he said.
” Yeah and so much for comfort”, I said as I looked at her tied to some creaky bed in the middle of the room, with a bag on her face. I walked over towards her.
” Calm down honey, I’m here”, I said in a warm voice as I took off the bag from her head.
” Wait what?! Janet?!”, I yelled in surprise.
” Tristan?!”, she yelled back.
” What the hell are you doing here?”, I asked.
” Those idiots kidnapped me”, she said. Then I turned around and glared at the guy behind me.
” Idiot! Is this the person I told you guys to get?!” I yelled at him. He seemed a little confused. The shouting drew the attention of the rest of his squad.
” What’s all the ruckus about?”, one of them asked as they walked in.
” You idiots can’t even do a single task right!”, I said in a really angry voice.
” Wait what?!”, Janet yelled, ” you’re the one behind this?”, she asked in a pissed voice. Then I turned to look at her.
” It’s all a huge misunderstanding, I promise”, I said to her to calm her down.
” I think we got em mixed up by accident. There were two of them walking along the sidewalk. This must be the other one”, one of the guys said.
” And you guys said someone shot at you guys?”, I asked.
” Yes sir, some crazy lady just pulled up on us and began to fire shots at us”, one of the guys said.
” That means someone saw the whole thing?”, I thought.
” Wait! You were after Isabelle?!”, Janet yelled at me.
” You know her?”, I asked.
” Why wouldn’t I, you idiot! we’re friends”, she said. Frustrated, I pulled a chair over and took a seat. These idiots had lost her. ” Where in the world would she be now?”, I pondered.
” What should we do boss?”, one of the men interrupted my thoughts.
” You fools wouldn’t be able to eat even if you were told to”, I said. ” Just get out, I’ve gotta think”, I said.
” Tristan! You bastard!”, Janet yelled.
” Shut up! Shut the fuck up! One more word from you and I’ll….”, I stopped and clenched my fist as I took a deep breath. This seemed like the beginning of a whole new set of troubles.

” Where could they have gone?”, Mom asked feeling really worried.
” Why would you even let them go out in the first place?”, dad asked Mom, ” you know how Isabelle got here to begin. with, and to not to mention that Janet’s never been around these parts before. How could you then let both of them out alone?”, he asked in frustration.
” That’s enough dad, it was a mistake and you know that”, Chanel said.
” Humph”, dad sighed, ” I’m just worried about them. I mean, who’s to say that they haven’t been taken by thugs?”, he said.
” Stop it!”, I yelled, ” this isn’t the time to be time to speculate or to play the blame game. We’ve gotta go find ’em. How in the world, am I supposed to explain to Janet’s brother that his sister went missing while she while she was with me?”, I said.
” Don’t worry chap”, Dad said patting me on the back, ” I’m sure we’ll find them”, he said. ” Wait here, let me go get the car keys, okay?”, dad said and went into his room to get the keys. ” Hang in there Janet”, I prayed silently.
