” That sure pissed him off”, I muttered with a chuckle as I shut the door and walked out.
” You’re done already?”, Madison asked.
” Yeah, we just had a little misunderstanding” I said.
” Understandable”, she said as she nodded her head in a tilted way, ” sibling squabbles, right?”, she asked.
” More or less, yeah”, I responded, ” anyway, let’s meet up tonight at your place”, I said.
” And why not your place?”, she asked, ” I’d like to visit”, she added.
” Well my sister’s around and all, so…..”,
” So what? I’d love to meet your sister. Or are you hiding me from her?”, she asked as she looked me in the eye.
” No it’s certainly not that, but, you know? I need some alone time with you”, I said which made her laugh.
” You perv”, she said with a chuckle, ” what do you need some alone time for? A date should be in a restaurant or maybe even a picnic in the park and here you are craving some “alone” time”, she taunted with a smirk.
” Okay fine, let’s do it your way”, I said reluctantly.
” Awwwn, look at you acting all sulky. Okay fine, I’ll tell you what. I’ll come over to your place tonight and next time, we can meet at my place for your ALONE TIME. How’s that?”, she asked.
” It’s fine”, I said.
” Good”, she said, ” alright, off you go. I don’t want any office rumors. It’s the last thing I need right now”, she said.
” Okay okay, I’m going. Sheesh. Just a kiss first”, I said.
” No! You’ll get that tonight, now scram”, she said.
” Fine”, I said in a groaning voice as I began to walk towards the elevator.
” I’ll call you”, she said as she waved at me. I waved back and got into the elevator, blowing a kiss at her before the doors closed.

” I guess your plan did work”, I said to Jeremy.
” Pfft, of course it did. It was my plan afterall”, he bragged.
” Yeah, a plan as basic as that could only come from you”, I mocked with a smirk as we got to the front of his room.
” I guess I oughta let you have some rest after all that”, he said.
” Humph!”, I sighed, ” I’ll see you tomorrow then”, I said and was about to walk away when he held my hand. I turned around and looked at him. ” What is it?”, I asked him.
” I wanna give you something”, he said.
” Really? what is…….”, he kissed me, interrupted my sentence. He grabbed my waist as the kiss became more intense. I soon gave in and we began to make out.
” I really love you”, he said as our lips separated, our noses and foreheads still caressing one another. My heart skipped a beat on hearing that. Our breaths got heavier as we inhaled and exhaled repeatedly. ” I’ve never felt this way before”, he said, ” and I know I’m probably not good enough for you but I hope I can make you love me just as much”, he said as he stared into my eyes.
” I love you too, Jeremy”, I blurted out as I suddenly hugged him. ” I don’t like to admit it, but it’s not that I’m not a love person, it’s just that…. I’ve barely even experienced any sort of love with my dad and all, so I sorta just built a house wall around me. I really do love you a lot”, I said.
” It’s okay”, he said as he wrapped his hands around me, ” it’s like I said before, we all have our coping mechanisms. I simply just want to be yours”, he said in a calm reassuring voice.
* Half an hour later***
I didn’t go back to my suite after all that. Rather we just kept talking and chuckling at random intervals. As we were talking, Jeremy looked to the side.
” Wait a minute, isn’t that your brother’s voice?”, he asked as footsteps drew closer.
” Pwww”, I let out a short breath from my mouth as I rolled my eyes, ” like that’s important”, I scoffed. Just then, I saw him emerge from the corridor perpendicular to the one where we were. As he emerged from the bend, so did a gorgeous, stunning lady in a red short gown and she was holding hands with Jared. I couldn’t believe my eyes. “What in the world make a lady this pretty decide to go out with my dumb brother”, I thought as I watched them approach us, so engulfed in their conversation that they didn’t seem to notice us, until I cleared my throat loudly enough for them to hear.
” Oh, hey there Janet, I didn’t see there for a second”, Jared said.
“Oh my God, is she your sister?”, the lady asked him in an excited voice.
” Oh yeah she is”, he said as he turned to her and then back to me. ” So Janet meet Madison, my girlfriend”, he said to me, ” and Maddie, meet Janet, my baby sister”, he said to her.
” It’s so nice to meet you Janet. Your brother here, talks a lot about you”, Madison said as she stretched out her hand for a handshake.
” Same here”, I said as we shook hands, ” he talks about you a lot too. I guess he just talks a lot generally”, I added with a bit of disappointment in my tone.
” Ha ha, very funny”, he said sarcastically.
” She’s actually really funny”, she said.
” Well you’ll find out yourself later”, he said as he took her hand and was about to walk away. Then he paused. ” Give me a minute”, he said to her as he turned around and whispered in my ear. ” Give us some privacy, alright? I’ve got a date to set up” he said to me.
” Sure and what’s in it for me?”, I whispered in his ear. He rolled his eyeballs. ” I’ll increase your allowance by one grand”, he whispered.
” Make it two and you’ve got yourself a deal”, I whispered in his ear.
” Fine! Just stay away”, he whispered in my ear before standing erect again.
” Alright let’s go Maddie”, he said and then greeted Jeremy with a wave before walking away with Madison.
” Geez, talk about being totally ignored. I guess love truly is blind”, Jeremy said as he chuckled.
” Oh he’ll come for you, now that he’s seen your face, that’s for sure”, I said.
” So what were you guys talking about? while whispering, I mean?”, he asked.
” Oh, he wants me to give them ‘privacy’ “, I said emphasizing with my fingers, the word “privacy”.
“Ooh, that’s crazy”, he said, ” how about we have our own alone time too?”, he said with a seductive look in his eyes.
” Hmmmm”, I hummed as I feigned to ponder on the idea seriously, ” and what exactly would we be doing in our alone time?”, I teased.
” I haven’t thought about it yet”, he replied teasingly, playing along with me, ” but let’s go inside and we’ll see”, he added with a smirk on his face. He opened the door and took me gently by the hand inside before shutting the door.

” You called me sir”, my assistant said as he walked into my office.
” Yes, you were saying something about Isabelle earlier this morning. I was a bit busy then so I couldn’t quite grasp what you said, that’s why I called. So what was it you were saying?”, I asked.
” I was saying that a few of my sources spotted her coming out from a grocery store at this location”, he said as he pointed it out to me on his tablet. I took the tablet and looked closely at it.
” Wait a minute, isn’t this the Greenhill county?”, I asked as I looked up at him.
” Yes it is sir. So it’s not too far away from the villa”, he said.
” That must be how your sources got the info”, I muttered, ” Alright, here’s what we’re gonna do. Since I can’t be too sure if she has her memories back yet, you’re gonna send some of your men over to get her back discreetly, okay?”, I ordered.
” Will do sir”, he responded with a slight bow as he walked out of the office. ” Thank God we found her”, I muttered with clasped hands.

” Oh my god! we found her!”, I exclaimed in a whispery voice. ” I gotta let Justin know asap”, I said as I took out my phone from my purse. Then I texted him everything I had heard and carried on as if nothing had happened. I didn’t want my face to betray my excitement. I was anxious to get to Justin’s place. We had to get to her before they did, and fast.
