I walked into the mansion in rage, tears flowing endlessly down my eyes. I was getting fed up of being toyed with.
” Why in the world are you crying? And don’t tell me that you were looking like this when you walked out of the company,” Mneso interrogated the moment I stepped in. She was holding Nathan in her hands.
” Help me pack my things,” I told her without any other form of emotion other than anger, broken-heartedness and despair.
” Woah! Hold on a second. What in the world is going on here?” She asked confused as she followed me upstairs.
” Nanny!” I ignored her.
” Yes madam,” she rushed to my aid quickly.
” Help me to pack the kids suitcase please,” I instructed.
” Is it just a few or…?” She stared at me confused.
” All. Not a single belonging of theirs should be left behind,” I ordered as I walked into the master bedroom which of course, belonged to I and Justin.
” Calm down, Isa. You’re not explaining things to me. Did you and Justin argue? What’s going on?”
” I don’t want to talk about it,” I picked up a large suitcase and began to stuff my clothes and shoes and products inside.
” C’mon! We’ve gotta talk about this. We can resolve this,” she tried her best to mediate. ” What could he have said to piss you off like this?”
” He didn’t say nothing, I wish he did. It would have been better of as an argument anyway,” I muttered.
” Are you going to tell me the damn thing or not?!” She yelled.
” He cheated on me okay! Are you happy now?” I screamed back. I began to cry profusely again.
” Oh my gosh,” she used both her hands to cover her agape mouth. ” But Justin… I mean, he really loves you. Why would he cheat on you?” She was dazed by the news.
” All along, I was right. I knew something was off about his relationship with his secretary but I wouldn’t tell myself the bitter truth. I guess, I was not good enough for him,” the thought of how he had used me twice now, broke my heart. Why did he keep on deceiving me?
” I don’t know what to say, Isa,” she was beyond stunned.
” I finally thought nothing could get in the way of our love again but I was wrong. If he didn’t love me, why didn’t he say so ever since?” My knees grew weak and I immediately crumbled. Thankfully, Mneso was there to catch me. She pulled me in for a hug as I cried heavily, not holding back my sorrow.
” Whatever choice you make, I’m with you,” that was her little way of telling me that I meant alot to her and so did my decisions. It was nice to have someone to fall back on, literally.
” I’m taking the kids with me,” I said frankly pulling away from her hug as I looked at little Nathan lying on my bed. He was like the symbol of a new dawn in I and Justin’s relationship but I guess I was wrong. I must have been reading the signs wrongly.
With the help of Nanny and Mneso, we carried all the luggages to the living room downstairs.
” Honey, what do you think you’re doing?” Justin’s voice came from the front door. He actually chased after me, not that it’s going to make a difference really.
” I think it’s obvious, Justin,” I snapped. I could see his heart shatter into a million pieces and honestly, it stung a bit seeing him so broken but I rather break him now than let him break me later. Healing won’t be as hard for him as it will be for me if he dumped me again, I wouldn’t be able to take it.
” Isa, you know I would never do anything to hurt you. Mneso, please help me out,” he was already standing close to me.
” I can’t say anything. If what Isa saw is true, then she can do what she wants. I refuse to see her cry or be broken because of anyone,” she stated looking away. She didn’t want her eyes to meet his.
” She saw wrong. She misunderstood what she saw,” he pledged.
” Then what exactly happened? Why don’t you tell us and clear our doubts?!” She was getting enraged. She was in disbelief just like I was.
” I and Lena were to discuss something so she was bringing over coffee for the both of us and ended up spilling some on her shirt, that’s why you saw her on singlets. I swear, Isa, nothing happened between us,”
” Then what about her being on your thighs?” Mneso fired the questions. I was too distraught and in an emotional turmoil to ask any questions. If I did, I would break down in tears which was the last thing I wanted to do in this situation. I didn’t want to look weak. ” Don’t tell me, she was trying to rub off the coffee that poured on your suit?” She asked sarcastically, scoffing in the process.
” I won’t deny that she attempted to seduce me by climbing on my thighs when I least expected it but you came at the wrong time. I was just about to push her off me,” he tried his best to explain and something about his explanation nearly made me start to doubt my own conclusions. But the painful fact was I couldn’t unsee what I had seen and I wasn’t planning on taking it for granted. I wasn’t gonna risk my mental health on the slim chance that he wasn’t having an affair.
” Why didn’t you push her off earlier? Or were you enjoying her butt and her legs caressing your thighs?” She accused.
” Please Isa, believe me. I love you beyond your imaginations, I’ve even fired her. Honey, please don’t leave me,” he got down on his knees, holding onto my waist pleading. I was beginning to get confused on what action I was to take.
” Daddy?” I heard a familiar voice. It was Amelia.
” Mommy?” Aiden looked towards our direction, his sister’s hand in his. I could see the confusion and heart break in their eyes as tears ran steeply down their cheeks simultaneously.
Justin stood up trying to cover up for the kids. Dropping her teddy bear, she ran forward, the fastest I had ever seen her. She jumped into Justin’s arms crying, I knew she was confused and I felt bad for letting the twins experience this. They had only officially reunited with their dad recently and now I was going to take it away from them. I felt like a villain.
Aiden, after a while of being lost, ran over to me hugging me tightly. His crying hurt me more, he was the type to conceal his emotions.
” Are you and Daddy arguing?” Amelia came to me, hugging me.
” I don’t want the both of you to fight,” Aiden voiced out, still crying, rubbing his eyes with the back of his hands.
” I’m really sorry but mommy has to do this,” I kissed the both of them on their forehead.
” But why?!” Amelia screamed.
” Your dad made a mistake he shouldn’t have and I can’t stay where I’m not wanted. Come on, let’s go,” I held myself from crying as I wiped their tears. I ordered the driver to take our things into the car.
” I’ll go with you,” Mneso volunteered. I didn’t even know when she got her things packed. ” I’ll take the kids to the car,” she said taking Nathan and the twins who hesitantly followed her. I knew they didn’t want to have to let go of their dad but at the same time, they didn’t want to lose me and I couldn’t leave without them.
” Isa, this isn’t right. You’re hurting the kids and yourself, me included. You don’t have to do this,” he pleaded once more.
” I know they are hurt but whatever I do, I do it for I and my kids. They’ll be much more hurt if they found out that their supposed lovely dad is cheating on their mom,”
” Isa, I already told you that nothing like this happened or has happened and it never will,”
” I’ll come to pick up my remaining things tomorrow and I’ll also return all the cars you gave me. I’ll use your car one last time to take us to our apartment,”
” I can’t let you leave,” he held on to my hands, not wanting to let go.
” If you don’t let me go, I’ll make sure that your indecent and scandalous dealings will be made known to the board,” I threatened. With that, he let go fo my hands hesitantly.
As much as I loved him, I wasn’t going to let him hurt me. It’s a mistake I will never make even if it’s for love.
