We were both struggling. He was trying to pull the gun out of my hands with all his might while I struggled to keep my feet.
Jessica didn’t get herself involved in our struggle. She stood up and kept yelling at Dylan to let go of me.
” Just give her the dang money Dylan ”
“Shut the fuck up,” Dylan replied.
Dylan was groaning and panting heavily. For a woman, my grip was surprisingly tight. I learned from the best after all.
“Give it to me. ” He yelled while releasing the grip he had on me.
“Show your face bitch ” Dylan was struggling to get the gun out of my hands and at the same time reveal my identity.
While we were struggling, he pressed my hands against the trigger and I fired a shot.
The sound of the shot tingled in my ears for seconds.
Who did I shoot? How did I fire the gun? All these questions had no answers.
“ISABELLE ” I voice called out.
Dylan was distracted and so was I. We both looked in the direction of Jessica. Unlike Dylan, I was worried sick about Jessica. I was worried the shot I fired hit her.
We looked in her direction and I saw Justin and James standing in front of us.
How? How did they get to find out about all this?
I was right about the message.
My phone was lying on the table when Dean’s message came in. When I went to the kitchen to get snacks and drinks for the game, James had come over to ask me but he had to walk away when he got a call from work.
He went to the dining table and found my phone. I recalled him calling out my name just once and when I answered, he told me not to worry. He found my phone and he saw that I had a text message. James picked up the phone and was about to call me when he saw the messages
” You got your kids back.” His curiosity got the best of him and he read it all. He read everything. Seeing all Dean had sent to me, James sensed I was in danger. He didn’t know what exactly it was and that incomplete knowledge drove him mad. He told Justin about everything and showed him the message. All this behind my back. I was in the dark all this while and my biggest fear came through.
Now that the two were on good terms, they decided to join hands and figure out what was going on.
They both left under the pretense of work just to meet and talk. They planned to stick around and trail me.
We all saw where that led to. They did follow me and now my whole plan was ruined. My cover was blown and Heaven knew what Dean was going to do when he found out I ruined the job. How on earth did all this happen?
Jessica was in a squatting position. When I fired the shot, she got scared, bent down, and covered her ears with her hands. Her face was covered so Justin was unable to recognize her. Yet.
Dylan pulled the gun out of my hands, pulled me closer, and curled up my neck In thick muscles. His rock-hard muscles were pressing on my throat. He placed the gun on my neck and asked me to surrender.
“Isabelle. ” Justin called out In terror.
“Isa ” James called out with a step forward.
When Jessica heard my name, and Justin’s voice, she cautiously raised her head and beheld her brother in front of her. I was fully masked. recognizing me with just a name was pretty hard plus she never believed I was the one behind the mask. I wanted to her and Dylan? No way. Jessica didn’t do any of that. She trusted me so much.
“Brother?” She called out softly.
“Jessica?”
“What are you doing here? ” Justin was just as surprised as Jessica was to see him there.
She was just a few steps away from him. He pulled her hands and pulled her behind him.
“Family reunion?”
“Great isn’t it? ”
“You little ungrateful bastard. ‘
“Worthless less golf digger ”
“I should have known you were nothing but a sex toy Jessica. ”
Dylan began to hail insults at his Girlfriend. Seeing her run to her brother for cover irked him out.
Justin had no idea his sister was involved with Dylan. She never mentioned anything about her boyfriend Dylan to him and the reason was quite obvious now. Dylan used Jessica for his dirty games. The poor girl was vulnerable. After her last breakup, she became hungry for love just to prove to Daniel, her ex-boyfriend, that she was ready to move on. Amidst all that, she lost herself and she was in Dylan’s hands.
“Don’t you dare say a word against my sister. ”
“Let Isabelle go,” James ordered him with fear of what he was going to do. Dylan’s hands were choking me. It was only a matter of time before I passed out underneath the mask. I still struggled to pull myself away.
” Isabelle ”
“So that’s her name ”
James again took a step forward. Dylan pointed the gun at him. He was ready to shoot whoever came his way. He was ready to kill anybody. Jessica inclusive.
“Let’s see who we have here. ”
Dylan flipped my cap off my head. HE aggressively pulled my nose mask away. I was bare. My identity was revealed. I saw the shock on everyone’s faces. Justin and James were still surprised even when they knew the whole truth.
Jessica. Her eyes widened with Surprise and her jaw dropped with disbelief. She didn’t believe I could do such a thing even when Justin kept on calling my name. She didn’t believe it till she saw with her eyes who was behind the mask.
“Let go of her right now. ”
” Don’t you even dare think of hurting her?”
“Isabelle, nothing will happen to you .”
“I promise you. ”
“I love you and I will never let any harm come your way .”
” I promise you ‘
James kept saying to me. Reassuring me I was going to be fine. While he spoke, the captain came out of the pilot’s house. He was stunned to see the whole drama. Dean paid him off just to let me on the boat and now he knew he made the biggest mistake of his life. He stood there, frozen and scared, staring at everyone with fear.
“Please just let her go ” Justin pleaded.
“ENOUGH! ”
” What drama is this? ” Dylan snapped angrily.
“Do you think this is a joke ?”
“Dylan, please. ”
“Just Isabelle Go.”
” Please, I beg you. ”
“Take me if you want ” Jessica pleaded for my life to be spared with tears in her eyes.
“What are you talking about?”
” Just stay quiet ”
“Please, let her go, ” James said. Everyone was begging for my life. I couldn’t help but regret my decision. They cost me so much already and even today, it was hunting me.
“Shut up !” Dylan shouted and fired his gun directly at the captain. Right in the center of his forehead.
The man dropped dead on the floor. Jessica, Justin, and James all gasped for breath. We all Froze for seconds
At the point of death, I saw the look on Everybody’s faces. I saw the fear of losing me on James’s face. He was helpless and devastated. I saw Justin. I saw regret and terror in his eyes too. Jessica’s eyes were watering non-stop.
I knew this could be the last of my breath. My life flashed through my eyes. All the memories I had With Justin flashed through my eyes.
The day I met him, our first sex, his loving touch, and his sweet words echoed in my ears. Our kids. I could only think of the good memories. Realizing this might be the last time I saw him break me. Realizing Dean was going to go after my children completely shattered.
At the point of my death, the only thing I thought about was Justin and my children. Nothing else but them.
My past mistakes weren’t only hunting me now. It was on the verge of building what I spent my entire life getting together.
What have I done? I was suffocated by my thoughts. My chest was hurting and I was slowly going out of breath. Who would have thought my last vision would be the last of me?
“Mummy I love you ”

Amelia, Aiden’s, and Justin’s words Kept on ringing in My head. I didn’t know when a tear dropped from the corner of my face.
“If you mess this up, your children will become mine” Dean’s words were so clear and loud I’m my head that I could swear he was behind me.

James begged helplessly.
While all this was going on, I didn’t utter a word to anybody. I was mute like I didn’t know them.
“Who sent you?” He tightened the grip.
“Answer me ”
“Fuck you ” I jerked him in his stomach. So hard that his gun fell off his hands a few feet closer to Justin.
Dylan fell to the ground growling in pain.
