When Sheila got back to the ward from doctor John’s office, David was already there chatting with Gabriel while Vanessa played with Lily.
” Mommy, you are back?” Lily asked in an excited voice.
” Did Uncle John say I can go home now?” She added.
” Wooah, hold your horses little one. One question at a time, otherwise my little brain won’t even remember what you asked about.” Sheila jokes.
” Why is that?” Lily asked with a frown.
” Because I am old.” Sheila answered.
” You are not an old mommy.” Lily protested.
” Oh I am, in fact I am very old.” Sheila pressed.
” Uncle just said that nobody is old in the eyes of their loved ones so to me, you are still Young, beautiful and graceful.” Lily said with a cheesy smile.
” She’s my wife, are you trying to court her in my presence?” David reprimanded his daughter.
To him, his daughter is nothing but red flags especially if it comes to his wife.
She has the habit of dominating his little wife while pushing him away. He was not sure how many times he had woken up in the middle of the night Looking for his wife Only to remember that she insisted on spending the night at the hospital with his daughter.
After getting used to cuddling with her after a passionate session during their honeymoon, he was having a hard time adjusting to sleeping without her.
On some nights, he would drive back to the hospital and share the tiny bed with her before going to work.
That’s just how obsessed he is with his wife, not to mention her slender waist that he can’t seem to get tired of caressing.
” Don’t be mean to her honey, she’s sick.” Sheila warned David with a serious expression.
Lilian sticked her tongue out when Sheila was looking away a day David who saw that act almost puked blood.
How could his little woman realise that he is always the one getting bullied by Lily and not the other way round?
Gabriel stifles his laughter seeing the spiteful look on David’s face. He couldn’t help but feel amused by the interaction between the three people.
He could only pray that when Vanessa and him get children, they will have a bubbly daughter like Lily less her attitude towards her father.
” So we are going home?” Lily asked in a cute voice.
” Yep, we’re going back.” Sheila answered with a smile.
Lily got up from the bed and hugged her Mommy tightly before pulling away and giving him a toothy grin.
” You are the best,” she praised earning a giggle from Sheila.
” What about me?” Vanessa asked with hopeful eyes.
” You are the best auntie in the world,” Lily replied, hugging Vanessa too.
” And ofcourse, you are my favourite uncle.” Lily said, her eyes beaming at Gabriel.
David, who was waiting for his turn to be praised, frowned when his daughter gave him no glance.
He felt aggrieved.
How could she praise others and ignore him like the wind?
She was afterall his daughter right?
Or perhaps did they get a switch at birth?
David turned to look at Sheila to complain but the little woman shrugged her shoulders before looking away.
” What about me baby? Ain’t I the best Daddy in the world?”
Since nobody wanted to defend him, he would ask for his compliments himself.
Lily turned to give him an overlook before scoffing.
David was so mad that he almost puked blood.
But what could he do? Regardless of everything, she is his daughter.
Later, Lily left the hospital together with her parents. Since it was evening when her discharge papers arrived, they had dinner immediately after arriving home.
After dinner, Sheila helped Lily take a bath and tucked her in bed after reading a bedtime story for her.
David watched his wife cooing at Lily as she sang her a lullaby and when the little girl closed her eyes, Sheila pressed her lips against her forehead before leaving the room with her husband.
Inside their bedroom, David pulled Sheila into his arms, hugging her softly.
” I missed you,” he murmured into her ears.
” I missed you too.” Sheila cooed.
Sheila held him tightly and her hands began to wander around his back and shoulders.
She loved the feel of his skin and the way his arms embraced her.
She had always had this secret crush on her husband and since they got married, they made love almost every night and even some afternoons.
But ever that returned from their honeymoon which was of course cut short, they hardly had time to kiss.
Sheila busied herself taking care of Lily while David took care of the company.
Tonight, she planned on starting her mission: to seduce her husband and get pregnant.
” I’m starving, I want to eat.” David announced shamelessly, making Sheila blush.
” What are you saying? We just had dinner not long ago.” Sheila countered.
Of course she was very much aware of what her husband meant by that statement but she figured out that it does no harm playing hard to get.
” I did eat dinner but I have another kind of hunger.” David said, kissing her earlobes earning a moan from his wife.
He knew the right buttons to press to arouse his wife.
For someone who was used to making love with his wife twice a day, it felt like a century had passed without getting Intimate with her.
Sheila allowed David to kiss her. She kissed him back too.
David thrusted his tongue into her mouth, exploring every crook of her mouth.
He could not help but indulge himself in her sweetness.
She was so Sweet that he could not get enough of her.
His hands trailed to her waist and started rubbing it.
Pulling away, he gazed at her face intently.
” Did John say anything to you?” He asked.
Sheila froze for a second before recovering immediately.
She could not allow him to read the truth of her reactions.
” Nothing. Is there something I should know?” She shot back.
