She had tried reaching her boss over the last one month but all in vain.

The other side of the line went quiet for a while.
Nancy who was seething with anger and hatred had to take deep breaths to calm down.
She needed Laura to get rid of Sheila then when that happened, she would snatch David away from Laura.
For that to happen, she needed to be Laura’s lapdog.
” Sorry about that, I am just worried that if we don’t take precaution now, we will never get rid of this pest.” Nancy said, sounding extremely obedient.
” Why? what happened?” Laura asked and Nancy narrated everything that had been happening in the house.
” Where is she right now?” Laura’s voice turned ice cold.
” She and the little brat are going shopping at Phoenix mall.” Nancy answered and before she could say another word, the call was dropped.
Meanwhile at Brown Villa inside Lilly’s room.
The two girls were choosing clothes to dress Lily up.
The two were going shopping together and having some girl’s time as they called it.
” I think this dress looks good on you.” Sheila said, holding up a fiery red princess dress.
” Okay, I will wear whatever beautiful sister chooses for me.” Lily replied obediently.
After dressing the little one up braiding two pigs tails with her hair, the two walked downstairs, hand in hand.
Sheila was dressed in plain denim trousers and a t-shirt coupled with knee length boots was looking all dashing.
David who was seated at the sitting was mesmerised seeing his little woman looking so beautiful.
His mouth was wide open and his eyes locked on her face.
Seeing this, Lily took the chance to mock her father.
” Daddy, there are some flies here, careful you don’t swallow one.” She snickered and Sheila smiled.
David who had been shamed by his daughter could only glare at her, afterall, it was a polite reminder as his daughter always called it.
” Are you ready to leave?” Coughing slightly to hide his embarrassment, David asked.
Sheila nodded.
” Are you sure you wanna wear that princess dress?” David asked, eyeing his daughter suspiciously.
If his memory was correct, Lily made a fuss when she wore that dress.
She refused the dress because it was colour red and Lily hated anything red.
” Yes, is there a problem? My beautiful sister chose it for me.” Lily declared proudly.
David shrugged his shoulders. He was fine with anything she wore as long as she did not have a problem with it.
Leading his family of two to the car, they drove away to the Mall.
David would be dropping the two ladies at the mall before making his way to the company.
Today being Saturday, he allowed Lily to go out with Sheila.
He wanted the two to spend time together since they have been spending less time together ever since Sheila joined the company.
He could trust Sheila to take Care of his daughter.
She had proved time and time again to be a good mother to Lily.
Apart from spoiling his daughter too much, there was nothing else she did wrong.
Looking at the two, you could mistake them as Mother and daughter. Not like they are not mother and daughter, when he eventually marries his little woman z Lily will start calling her a mother.
Talking of a mother, Sheila’s presence in his daughter’s life had changed Lily.
The three drove to the mall. Sheila was chatting with Lily happily while David listened to them.
He could not help but smile at how great their relationship was.
Lily adored Sheila and she treated Lily as her own.
” We are here!” Peter announced, parking the car at the Mall’s parking lot.
Lily was the first to step outside while David held Sheila’s hand when she was about to step out.
” Are you sure you don’t want me to accompany you? I can go with you If you want?” David offered only to have Sheila shake her head.
He did not want to leave his beautiful woman in the eyes of vultures. He could only rest assured with her by his side.
” No can do. You have work. You can’t miss going to the office.” Sheila replied.
” Why can’t I? I am the boss and can do what I want?” David asked, feeling aggrieved.
He only wanted to accompany his little woman.
” That’s exactly why you have to go. You are the boss so everybody is relying on you.” She refused, making him frown.
” You don’t have to worry about us, we will be fine. Besides, what will you do tagging along? It will be tiring and trust me, you will definitely regret it.” Sheila coerced.
David wanted to tell her that he would never get bored as long as she was by his side.
” What a good way to refuse me.” David muttered, making Sheila giggle.
” Okay then, be careful.” He finally complied.
” We will.” Sheila said, opening the door only to have David hold her back.
She turned to look at him questioningly.
” Don’t you think you are forgetting something?” He asked, making Sheila smile.
Without waiting to hear from him again, she leaned in and kissed his lips.
Pulling her to himself, David deepened the kiss until Lily knocked on the door.
Only then did they pull away. Good thing she could not see anything as the window was tinted.
” Take Care.” With that, Sheila stepped down and held Lily’s hand, they matched to the mall with two guards following behind them.
