(3rd Person P. O. V)
One week later, at 10:00 PM.
“Doctor,”
“Doctor,” Cole shouted while helping Emma put Nikki on the stretcher.
“Cole, it’s hurt, it hurt,” Nikki whispered in pain while squeezing his hand.
“It’s going to be okay, baby. Doctor Rony is on his way. He will be here in no time,” Cole said while caressing her forehead to calm her down.
“What is taking her so long? Didn’t you inform her that my water broke before driving me here?” Nikki asks with a sniff.
“She wasn’t here. She was at a conference when I called her. She told the nurse to keep the room ready and said she would be here in 10 minutes,” Cole said to her.
“But why did she go into labor so early? Wasn’t she due in two weeks?” Rose asks while running after her.
“Yes, she was but that energy and power mark that the twins absorbed affected the growth of the bodies, and this is a result of it,” Emma explains to them while walking beside them.
As soon as they got Nikki into the Operating room, other doctors and nurses started getting her ready for the delivery of the twins.
“Sorry, I’m late. I got stuck in the traffic,” Doctor Rony said while walking towards them, and the nurse helped him wear his coat. He put on the mask over his face and ran inside her room.
“Okay, Nikki, I need you to take a huge breath and push after I count to three, okay?” Doctor Rony asked while wearing his gloves, forgetting that he was disrespecting his Luna in a hurry. Nikki nodded her head and took a huge breath.
“One, two, three, push,” Doctor Rony said, and she started pushing the baby with all her might while squeezing the hell out of Cole’s hand.
“One more time, push,” doctor Rony said. Nikki took a long breath and pushed again. Cole groaned in pain as he felt her crush his hand.
“Push, keep pushing until I can see the head of the baby,” Doctor Rony said to her. Nikki groaned in pain as a tear fell from her face and pushed again. Cole took his handkerchief out of his pocket and wiped her face with it.
“Just a few more pushes, Luna, and he will be here,” Doctor Rony said, and Nikki pushed a few more times; Doctor Rony signaled the nurse to give him a towel. As soon as the baby came out of Nikki’s womb, the baby moved his arms towards her as if he wanted to go back inside her womb. The baby starts crying in Ronny’s arms as soon as he pulls him away from Nikki.
“Don’t worry, little guys, you will be with your brother soon,” Doctor Ronny said while chucking at him, and he handed him over to Nikki. As soon as Nikki put him near her chest, he stopped crying and smiled at her. Nikki’s heart melted after seeing his smile. She forgot all her pain for a minute, but unfortunately, she had to part from him as his younger brother was waiting to come out, and she handed him back to the nurse after naming him, Ashton Eva Grey.
“Push Luna,” Doctor Ronny said to her.
“I can’t. I can’t push anymore. I am too tired,” Nikki said while panting heavily.
“Just a few more pushes and I would be able to see his head,” Doctor Ronny said while trying to encourage her.
“I know you can do it, love. You can look Ashton is already here, A few more pushes and Adam will be here with us,” Cole said to encourage her.
“I… I can’t,” Nikki said after pushing two more times.
“Doctor, is there nothing I can help her with,” Cole asks, looking worried. Doctor Ronny looked at the nurse and signaled her to help them.
“Put your hand here and push it gently,” the nurse said while putting pressure on Nikki’s stomach and pushing it firmly, they both pushed the baby gently but firmly, and finally, doctor Ronny was able to see his head. Seeing how hard others were working to save the baby, Nikki gathered all of her remaining strength and got the little guy out of her body with one push.
“You work hard to bring them into this world, now get some rest,” Cole said and kissed her on her forehead. The doctor checks her up to ensure that she is safe and out of any immediate danger, then tells the remaining nurses to clean up and transfer her to her ward. The doctor asks Cole to cut the twins’ cord, which he did proudly, and follow the nurse to get the twins clean and fill out their birth certificates and other paperwork.
After cleaning up the twins, the nurse hands them over to Nikki and helps her breastfeed them. After the twins fell asleep, the nurse allowed other visitors to visit them.
“Oh my god, they just looked like Cole when he was a baby,” Rose said while cooing at her grandsons.
“Have you guys come up with their name yet?” Mike asks while lovingly gazing at his grandsons.
“Yes, Ashton Eva Grey and Adam James Grey. Eva and James are the names of my real parents, so we decided to give it as their middle name,” Nikki said with a huge smile on her face.
“I have called and informed Stella and Alisha about the twins. They said they would come tomorrow to visit us,” Cole said while walking inside the room.
“But why did they have a half-moon and a stark mark on their forehead?” Rose asks her.
“It is the same mark Nikki used to have on her forehead. Does that mean…” Mike said, looking at Emma for the answer, and trailed off.
“Yes, what you think is right. They have already mastered the art of storing and using the energy or power of nature,” Emma said to them.
“But if they used it to grow up faster, then it will create a huge problem for both them and us, and it will also attract unwanted attention,” Cole said to her.
“Yes, I forgot to tell you that I had to manipulate the memories of the people who saw them to make sure that they remember that they are normal werewolf pups, but I can’t keep doing that to everyone they met in the future,” Nikki said to them.
“Don’t worry. I will find a way to fix this problem tomorrow,” Emma said while smiling at them.
“Thank you, Emma,” Nikki said while smiling at her.
“No problem, I will do anything for you and the twins,” Emma said while smiling at her.
“How are you feeling now, love?” Cole asks after kissing her forehead.
“Hungry and tired as hell,” Nikki said to him, looking sleepy.
“I think we should leave now. We will come to visit tomorrow with others, and I will tell the nurse to bring something to eat for both of you,” Mike said and kissed Nikki on her forehead.
“There is no need to see us off, just stay here and look after them. We will bring spare clothes for both of you when we come to visit you,” Emma said when she saw Cole walking after them.
“Goodnight and have a safe trip,” Nikki said, smiling at them.
