(Nikki P. O. V)
One week later
It’s almost half a year since we prepared the magic academy to train new witches and wizards and sort out all the administration work, and now the time comes to open the academy officially.
Today is the academy’s opening ceremony, and right now, I am getting ready to go and visit the academy as the guest of honor.
Knock-Knock.
“Come in,”
“Are you ready to go, Nicki?” Emma asks, entering the room.
“Yes, almost,” I said while grabbing my purse and mobile from the table.
“Let’s go,” Emma said, and we walked outside of the room.
“I see. You guys were heading to the academy,” Cole said while walking toward us.
“I am sorry, I wish that I could join you guys, but since I have to attend the alpha meeting, I can’t,” Cole said while pouting at me.
“It’s alright, I can understand, so don’t worry about it and pay attention in the meeting,” I said with a smile on my face.
“I will if you promise me to take care of yourself,” Cole asks while hugging me.
“I promise,” I said, moving away from him and walking out of the castle. Since I was pregnant, we decided to drive to the academy instead of teleporting there. When we reach there, students we still arriving at the school campus and bidding farewell to their parents. We park the car in the parking area for the staff and walk inside the auditorium room where the academy will hold the opening ceremony.
“Long time no see Nicki,” Lucy, the headmaster of the magic academy. She is the witch Emma trusts the most and a good friend when she saw us walking towards them.
“Yes, it’s been three months since I saw you. How are you doing, Lucy?” I ask and sit beside her while Emma sits on the left side.
“I am good. What about you and the twins? I hope they were not giving you,” she asks.
“I am good, and so are the twins,” I said while smiling at her, and we talked about different things until the time for the opening ceremony began.
“Welcome! Welcome, everyone. Before we begin, I would like our guest of honors and the founder of Magic Academy Nicki Grey to say a few words to us,” Lucy said after standing up from her seat and clinking her glass with a spoon to draw attention to the students. Emma helped me up from my seat.
“Thank you so much, elder Lucy. Welcome to a new year at Magic Academy! Before we begin our banquet, I would like to thank everyone who helped form this academy. When I thought of opening this academy so that newly blossomed witches and wizards could learn magic, it didn’t seem possible because it has taken too more work than we had thought. Still, with the help of other witches and wizards, it became possible to open it now. So I hope you work hard in honor of the people who worked so hard to open this academy and find your rightful place in this world. Now I would give the spotlight back to Elder Lucy, to begin with, the entrance ceremony. Thank you so much,” I said, and everyone applauded me.
“Thank you, so much Nicki. Now I will begin with the rules and regulations of the academy.
1. Students are not allowed to go outside their rooms or the academy without any faculty.
2. Bullying is not allowed in school.
3. Students are not allowed to use their magic on any other students or teachers until or unless told to under the supervision of the faculty.” Lucy explained everything related to the academy and then introduced the teachers to the students. After having dinner, I chatted with the staff members for some time and headed home.
The next day, after having breakfast, we went to the Pack Hospital for my regular check-up.
“Good, the twins, look healthy and sound. Would you like to know their gender?” Doctor Rony said to us.
“Yes, please, Could you write the gender on a piece of paper and pack it in the envelope? We want to reveal the gender of the babies at the baby shower,” I requested him.
“As you wish, Luna. Your next appointment will be after two weeks. We will find out your due date at your next appointment. Until then, remember not to take any stress, take your vitamin pill on time and drink lots of water, and contact me immediately if anything happens, okay?” Rony asks while smiling at us and giving us the ultrasound picture and envelope. We thank him and drive back home.
The first thing I did after reaching home was to move the date of my and Alisha’s baby shower forward since I was too excited to know the gender of my babies, and I wanted to hold the baby shower and the gender revelation party at the same time. It was easy to pressure Alisha to do that, but it took almost two days for me to pressure Cole. So we decided to throw the party two weeks after I visited the doctor.
Time passed like a blur until my next visit to the doctor preparing for the baby shower and performing my Luna duties, and we found out that I was due next month – last week to give birth to the twins.
“Nikki, are you ready to go?” Cole asks, walking inside the room.
“Yes, did you load everything in the car?” I ask as Cole helps me to get on my feet.
“Yes, and everyone is downstairs, waiting for us,” Cole said as we walked out of our room and walked downstairs.
“What about Stella and Alisha?” I ask him.
“They said they will meet us directly at the resort with their family,” Cole said and opened the door for me and helped me get inside the car, and all of us drove to the resort.
It takes us 2 hours to reach the resort when Stella is already waiting for us over there with Torak, baby Benjamin, and her parents-in-law.
“What took you guys so long?” Stella asks as soon as I get out of the car and engulfs me in a giant hug.
“Sorry, guys, we are late because we have to make a few stops because, you know,” I said while blushing and looking away from them.
“It’s okay, we understand,” Torak said with a look of understanding.
“I hope we are not too late,” Ryan said after getting out of the car and helping Alisha out of the car.
“Not at all. We have just arrived,” we said while smiling at them.
“Come on, guys. We can talk later. They said that the lunch was already ready and getting cold,” Dad said while walking towards us.
“Why don’t you guys go forward and have lunch? Ryan and I will take care of the luggage,” Cole said, and I nodded my head to them and walked to the place where the banquet was held. After lunch, we go to our assigned room to rest before the function.
