(Nikki P. O. V)
After dinner, I take him to Felix’s room to talk with them privately. I sat the pup on the bed he stared up at me; his green eyes were wide with fright.
“Why am I here, alpha?” he whispered quietly.
“That’s the same question I wanted to ask you,” I said, kneeling in front of him. He stared at me for several long, drawn-out moments before replying. “I ran away.”
“Why did you run away?” I asked, standing up to sit next to him, only for him to snuggle into my side.
“Because Mommy and Daddy didn’t want me anymore,” he mumbled, looking upset.
“I’m sure Mommy and Daddy love you very much,” I consoled, stroking my fingers through his soft hair he shook his head furiously.
“They don’t care about me anymore, they are having Tanisha, and they’re forgetting about me,” he started crying again, “so I left.”
“How long ago was this?” I said, pulling him into my lap.
“Three days ago,” he sobbed, burying his face in my shoulder I rubbed his back to comfort him.
“Why didn’t you take him back to your pack territory?” I ask Felix.
“I am just a normal Omega, Luna, we were not allowed to go out of pack territory when I saw him running away from home while I was on my way home, I ran after him, but when I caught up with him, we were already far away from our territory and didn’t know our way back home and when we tried to find us we enter in your territory by mistake,” Felix explain, and I nodded my head at him in understanding.
“What’s your name?” I asked quietly, he didn’t answer his face remained pressed into my shoulder, and I continued to rub his back in slow, comforting circles
“Kyle,” he answered after a long time as he yawned, rubbing his eyes.
“How old are you Kyle?” I ask him.
“Six,” he mumbled to me.
“Well, Kyle, I’m sure that they love you very much,” I said again “Who couldn’t love you” I felt more than one pair of eyes on me “You’re so brave,” I whispered, and he looked up at me.
“Really?” he asked, and I nodded at him.
“And strong too” Kiyara laughed as his chest puffed out he smiled a megawatt smile only to frown.
“But mom–” he said, but I cut him off.
“And even if you think they don’t love you, they do Kyle, and they are probably really worried about you now, and it’s is also not safe to roam in the forest like that without someone who knows the forest and knows how to protect you,” I told him pulling back to stare at his face that filled with un-shared tears that I swiped away before they could fall.
“And the best thing you can do is go home and help them care for your little sister and protect her as a big brother should,” I said, cutting him off.
“You’re right, Luna I’m so sorry—” he rubbed his eyes sleepily, laying his head on my shoulder as his eyes fluttered, and he slowly drifted off to sleep
“The bravery of an alpha but the energy of a toddler, he will make a great warrior one day,” Kiyara voiced
“Why don’t you take a nap, I will look after him till then,” I said, taking Kyle in my arms.
“Thank you, Luna,” he said to me. I nodded my head at him and walked out of his room. I walked inside my room and tucked him in, then went to the washroom to get ready for the day. After taking a bath and getting dressed, I get inside the bed and lay beside him.
“Why is our pack depressed and a pup in our bed” Daniel mumbled against my neck, laying a kiss there.
“His name is Kyle, and I found him downstairs being chased around the lounge room by four of our warriors while the others were beating up Felix. Why they are depressed might be because of the fact I scolded them for harming an innocent pup,” I said to him and he chuckled at me.
“You’re feeling better then?” he whispered and I smiled at him and hummed. I turned around in his arms, pressing a soft kiss on him, he kissed me back and walked to the washroom.
(Cole P. O. V)
I had arrived back at the pack-house earlier than I thought I would I was tired and ready to drop as soon as I had entered the double doors my legs carried me on as I greeted the small group of pack members in front of me they said nothing only bowing in my presence I frowned but thought nothing of it maybe Nikki knew why they were so…. depressed.
I climbed the staircase slowly, following the mixed scent of Nikki and rouges I can—- wait, rouge. I sped up the stairs only to find Felix in front of our room standing with what appeared to be a guard I knew he was a traitor.
I walked towards him, and he looked to be bowing his head I went to reach for him until my eyes caught Nikki cradling a small pup in her arms who appeared no older than five I didn’t pay attention to what she was saying and just watched her.
I imagined the way she would hold my pup in her arms and the way she would cradle it and care for it, and a smile formed on my face.
“She would be a great mother to our pups and a great Luna to our pack, there are no doubts about it,” my wolf said to me.
“There is no doubt about it,” I said to him.
“Will you call Alpha Derek and inform him about his son, please,” she said to me and I nodded my head to her. I grab my clothes and get inside the washroom to take a hot shower, after that, I get inside the bed beside Nikki to have a nap. In the evening, I called Alpha Derek and informed him about his soon where.
“Hello, Alpha Derek,” I said on the phone.
“Yes, Alpha Cole,” he said, sounding worried.
“I have called you to inform you that your son and one of the omega are in my territory and my pack-house and my mate is looking after him,” I informed him.
“Thank you for informing me, and I am sorry for any trouble you and your mate have to go through because of them. It will take me two days to get there, so can you take care of them for me? And I would also like to make alliances with your pack,” he said to me.
“I would love to make alliances with your pack and don’t worry, we will take care of them until you reach here,” I said to him.
“Thank you, we will discuss the contract when we reach there, okay,” he asks me.
“Okay, Good night and take care,” I said, hanging up on him and started doing pack work while Felix and Nikki played with Kyle. After that, we watch a movie while having dinner and go to sleep.
After 2 days, since Kyle and Felix were only comfortable with me, so Emma extended my days to stay here. We stood outside Kyle balanced on my hip and Daniel itching to grab me as the car pulled up and alpha Derek and Luna Linda stepped out she had what I felt to be the strength of a warrior, and the way she held herself proved just that, I had a feeling Kiyara was right the bravely of an alpha he will make a fine warrior and even more so an alpha I placed Kyle down, and he ran to his mother.
Alpha Derek and shake hands with each other, leading them inside the pack-house. We talked for some time, and then Cole led Alpha Derek to his office to discuss the alliances, while I& Linda talked with each other in the Living room, and Kyle played with other pups outside the pack-house.
After lunch, they said goodbye to us, thanked us for taking care of Felix and Kyle, and promised to visit again and drive away to their pack-house.
