“I don’t know why I have to participate in it when I already have found my mate, ” I argued with my father.
“The mating hunt was for the people who haven’t find his/her mate yet, right? Then why do I have to go there and participate in it? ”
I ask my father frustrated. Yesterday, I received an email from the council to attend a mating hunt where all the unmated male and female werewolves gathered to find their mate.
“I know but you haven’t mated with Nikki that is why you have to go there to attend it, it’s mandatory,” my father tried to explain to me.
“Right now, when a vampire king has just paid my mate a visit to my mate in my territory at night, are you in your right senses of your mind,” I ask him while running my hand through my hair frustratedly.
“Mind your language soon, I may have retired from my pack duties as an Alpha but I still am your Alpha,” My father said to me in his Alpha tone while narrowing his eyes at me.
“I am sorry Dad, but you have to understand, I can’t attend it with all this thing going on here, ” I said sighing and slumping down in my seat.
“I can understand your concern very well Cole, but it’s not like she will be alone here, we will be here to protect her, and you just have to show your presence there, just let them know that you have come to attend it and come back next day if you want,” my father said to me and I nodded my head in agreement.
“Fine then. I will do the same,” I said to him and he patted my back and walked out of there. I replied to the council letting them know I am going to attend it but leave early due to some important matters and they agreed with me.
“Are you going somewhere?” Nikki asked me while sitting beside my bed with a pout.
“Yes,” I said while keeping my clothes in my bag.
“Where?” she asks me.
“To attend an important meeting,” I lied to her and my wolf whimpered in my head not feeling good for lying to her but I can’t tell her the truth because it will upset her and I can’t see her upset.
“When will you come back home?” she asks me.
“In two or three days,” I said to her.
“Promise?” she asks showing her pinky finger to me.
“I promise,” I said with a chuckle and held her pinky finger with mine and she hugged me and I hugged her back.
“Can you spend time with me until you leave for your flight?” she asked me.
“Sure, why not, what do you “want to do?” I ask her.
“let’s watch some movie together,” she suggested looking excited making a smile come to my face.
“Cool, which movie do you want to watch,” I ask her.
“Frozen 2,” she said jumping up and down in excitement. Of course, I thought gloomily. I led her to the theatre room and arranged the room. I mind linking one of the Omega to bring some snacks and popcorn to go with the movie. Nikki watches the movie while I watch her and her reaction to the whole movie thinking who can I get so lucky to have her as my mate?
After the movie, we played carom and then went to the amusement park with some of the bodyguards and tied as many rides as we could, and then went to her favourite restaurant to have dinner. Nikki has fallen asleep when we reach home. I took her in my arms in bridle style and tucked her into the bed. I didn’t want to go without saying goodbye to her, so I kissed her forehead put a letter on the nightstand, and walked out of my room.
“Take care of her, don’t leave her alone even for a second, make sure someone trustworthy is there with her if you have to go somewhere due to some emergency, and keep informing me about her and everything happening in the pack house,” I said to Trevor while descending the stairs.
“Don’t worry Alpha I want to let anything happen to her, you just take care of yourself and be careful there,” Trevor said to me and I nodded my head to him. I get into the car and the driver takes me to the airport.
“I am going to miss her,” my wolf said to me with a whimper.
“Me too,” I said sighing and closing myself. This is going to be a long journey, especially with all the trouble going on in the pack-house. I thought while taking a seat in my chopper and falling asleep while holding one of Nikki’s sweaters that I brought with me.
The next morning I landed in Italy and drove to the place where the hunt was happening this year. As I got out of the car I saw some of the elders standing there to welcome me.
“Thank you for making time to come here Alpha Cole,” Mr. Richard said to me while shaking hands with me.
“No problem at all Mr. Richard,” I said smiling at him.
“But I hope you don’t mind if I leave early,” I ask them.
“No problem Alpha Cole, your appearance was enough for us,” Mr. Derek said, smiling at me.
“You must be tired from a long journey, Aria will show you your room, breakfast will be served within an hour see you there,” Mr Richard said and they walked out of there. Aria showed me my room and I went to the washroom to take a quick shower.
I came out to see my phone ringing, I smiled to see it was Nikki who was calling me and picked it up.
“Hello,” I said on the phone.
“Why did you leave without saying goodbye to me,” she complains and I chuckle at her antics.
“Good morning to you too Nikki,” I said with a chucking at her.
“No, answer me,” she said and I can imagine her pouting at the phone.
“You have fallen asleep when we reach home, and you were looking too peaceful to wake you up so I left a letter there for you so that you can read it after you wake up in the morning,” I said smiling at the phone.
“Yeah I read it, I am already missing you,” she said with a pout.
“Me too, love, me too,” I said and heard the knock on my door. I open the door to see Areia standing in front of me while looking down at the floor.
“What is it?” I ask her while keeping the phone on hold.
“Sir, the breakfast is ready,” she said still looking at the floor.
“Okay, I will be there in a minute,” I said to her and she nodded at me and then walked out from there.
“Did you have your breakfast?” I ask Nikki.
“No, I call you after I get ready for the day, do you have your breakfast,” she asks me.
“Not yet, just walking down to the hall to have it,” I said closing the door of my room and waiting for the lift.
“Okay, then I will call you after school okay, I love you,” She said and I heard my wolf purr inside my head.
“Bye loves you too,” I said hung up on the call and walked inside the hall where the breakfast had been arranged for us.
