Alex’s POV
Dominic has been captured by his wolves as I order them to lock him up in the cell right before his quarters. I sit on his royal throne, claiming the pack.
“You aren’t the Alpha yet and you don’t have any rights to sit on that throne!” One of his loyal wolves defends, as he tries to get me off the throne. I slowly reveal a dagger as he steps back.
“How then do you prove to us that you’re going to be a better Alpha?” He asks.
“You’re still loyal to a traitor. I should be a traitor to my traitor, isn’t it?” I ask as I laugh wickedly, asking the warriors to bring him closer to me. The warriors sends him crashing in front of him as I pack his hair well, about to slit his throat.
“Don’t, please! I’ll do anything you asks me to do.” He says, and I stop suddenly as I say, “I also don’t want to shed blood.”
“Lead him behind me!” I instruct with an agitated voice as they drag him behind me. We enter the room where Dominic is locked as I ask them to send him to the ground.
They push him to the ground upon command and he begins to plead for mercy but I come behind him as I pack his hair, placing a dagger in front of his neck.
“Don’t kill any of my warriors. The same sin I committed will be upon you as well. You won’t be able to rule the pack that way.” He says as I sigh cautiously, trying to catch a point.
“Do you suddenly care about me?” I ask, about to burst into wicked laughter again.
“If you say so. But the thing is, I know I’m doomed and you should rule the pack. I give it to you but do not ever kill that warrior. Don’t touch my warrior. Spare them to rule with them.” He says.
“You don’t tell me what to do.” I say, seething with anger as I drive the dagger closer to the warrior’s throat, as he keeps breathing heavily.
“I know what you’re doing. Don’t think I don’t.” I say as I slit the warrior’s throat and blood gushes out and splashes at him. He begins to choke as his eyes close up and I slit it more to give more blood flow. His head almost gets off from his neck before I leave him and he falls to the ground.
“Now, the warrior’s blood is upon you and we have committed the same sin. Both you and I won’t be fit to rule any pack moving forward.” He says.
“You’re just mouthing.” I comment, “don’t say anymore word if you don’t want me to kill you on the spot.”
“You shouldn’t have killed him yet. This same sin…” One of the warriors grumble but as I turn to face him, his lips seal.
“This warrior has Dominic’s blood in him and if Dominic dies today, his blood hasn’t died and the guy will eventually overpower me and take control of the kingdom. Now, find anyone else with Dominic’s blood and bring them here. I’ll kill them all in front of him.” I instruct.
“How do we know they’ve got Dominic’s blood in them? It’s not always written on the face. How do we know?” They ask, shivering due to an expected response from me.
“I’ll kill all of you if you don’t leave, now!!” I scream angrily as I rush at them with the dagger in my hands about to thrust into their belly. They hurry out of the room but they stand by the doorstep after shutting the door.
“Just give us a tip.” They plead still. I know they are risking their lives doing this, but still they want to be certain about what they should do and how they should go about it. I can sense that already.
“You’ll notice their weird reaction. They’ll always want to support Dominic even if you tell them that makanaki Nakanda.” I inform them. I can’t say how I got to know that but in the presence of Dominic after killing the warrior, I got to know it.
“Alright!” They delightfully scream as they leave the doorstep. I walk towards Dominic and laugh wickedly at his distress. There’s Wolfsbane drip and silver sprinkles around the ceilings ready to fall on him if he tries to shift to his wolf to break the chains. He’s totally chained to a chair and can’t even move his arm.
“Now that you’re under my control, what’s your last word before I kill you?” I ask.
“Kill me on time, coward.” He endears but I maintain composure as I await any other infected person to be killed before he will be. I know his tactics. As long as he’s dead by my sword, as a ruler, no other person infected will die by my sword and they will overpower me. Maybe not immediately but someday.
“You’re such a fool. A foolish one.” I mock as I hit his arm with the dagger. He winces in pain as his forehead is filled with sweat. Both internal and external sources.
“If Nora was here, she wouldn’t want to see you hurt me this way. Isn’t it? You took her with you. Amanda? I had her first but you took her and even made her your stripper. Harley? She stood with me and I know you both had an argument which didn’t make you take her with you. And the most painful, MY KIDS. You had them with you! What the heck, dude.”
“You’re just blabbering. Saying all sort of gibberish.” I inform as he gulps, trying not to speak in a way that would look like he’s asking for my forgiveness.
“I understand you. They’ll soon be here with the rest of the wolves you’ve infected with this stupid power to kill people anyhow. The power hasn’t left you and I don’t need it to. I only need to slice the throats of your loyal wolves, so our pack can remain a peaceful one.
As we speak, the wolves bring a lady in, claiming she’s one of Dominic’s victim, the infected.
As they pull her hair to themselves, I clearly see the face.
“Harley!!” I slowly call as the dagger drops from my hands and I run towards her.
